GGuest UserWe were so impressed with the apartment upon check in. However I was incorrectly charged double taxes. Travelled with 2 adults and 3 children. Additionally you are charged 10 euros administrative fee. I was not aware of this by my booking provider beforehand.
We were provided with all the access codes (three in total) and 2 different emergency contact numbers.
We arrived back with our daughters late at night, to not be able to enter the building as the door would not open. The access codes were correct but the door appeared to not be responding!
Passers by stopped to try and assist, we shouted out to those in the building but no joy. We called both emergency telephone numbers but no one answered.
We literally did not know what to do at this point and was close to calling the police as our passports and belongings were in the property.
Fortunately the restaurant owner next door, happened to be drinking alcohol in the nearby bar, and after near on 15 mins (felt like 30 mins) but been advised it was closer to 15 minutes, he was passing by and thankfully for both the hotel and us, he was able to assist. He mentioned he has been provided with spare keys and was hopeful they still worked.
The following day, the receptionist, hugged us and told us her boss would be compensating us for the safety issue and worrying situation we had been put in.
I appreciated this approach and she said he would be in touch on Monday. I had to follow up on the Tuesday as I had not heard anything.
After a lot of back and forth we have not been compensated anything. Instead have been told the situation was sorted by the neighbour (thank goodness he was in a nearby bar drinking!) we have also been told we would receive a discount for future stays. When asked, we have never been told what the discounts are, so we feel we have been completely misled.
It is a shame as the apartments once inside, are lovely, but the management and the lack of safety and the worry, have completely let this place down.
Please make sure you are charged correctly for your city taxes.

GGuest UserI had a lovely stay at Hôtel Atelier Montparnasse. The hotel has a charming, modern atmosphere, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The location in Montparnasse is convenient, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops, and public transport nearby. It’s a good base for exploring Paris while staying in a quieter neighbourhood.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay here again. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and charming hotel in Paris.

EEshley HHHThe location is convenient with easy access to transportation. Having a kitchen with utensils and cookware was also a big plus. The room was reasonably clean and had enough storage space. The front desk staff were very nice. Soundproofing was just average. The complimentary all-day coffee and hot chocolate were a wonderful touch! ❤️
I had informed the front desk that we wouldn't need housekeeping and would change our own towels and dispose of our own trash, but the cleaning staff still entered the room. 🥹

GGuest UserClose to the metro station, and there's a police station right across the street, which made me feel extra safe, especially on the day the French team was playing. The room size was okay; two adults and two kids could just about manage to open two suitcases. Breakfast was quite good for European standards, though they didn't change up the selection much. I had seen reviews mentioning no air conditioning, so I specifically confirmed by email and through Trip.com that it had AC, which it did. However, it doesn't get as cold as AC in China. A big shout-out to the water dispenser by the elevator on each floor – being able to get sparkling water was awesome!

GGuest UserI usually don't write reviews, but the service here exceeded my expectations – I can definitely recommend it! When I proactively asked if it was too early for check-in, the front desk attendant kindly offered to check if a room was available and helped me check in right away. That’s truly excellent service. I initially chose this hotel mainly for its location, and it turned out to be even more convenient than expected. There's a large supermarket nearby, plenty of restaurants, and it's safe and pleasant for a stroll. Just across the bridge, you'll find the exit for Metro Line 6, and a short walk up from there leads to the beautiful and safe 16th arrondissement. From that elevated perspective, the Eiffel Tower looks especially stunning. An Uber to the airport costs around 40 euros. There’s also a microwave in the lobby and complimentary disposable cutlery.

GGuest UserI booked two rooms, and the location, room layout, and everything else were excellent. The only issue we encountered was that the air conditioning in one of the rooms broke on the first night. The hotel provided two fans and arranged for us to move to a new room the next day. Trip.com's customer service actively helped us communicate and coordinate, and even provided some compensation, so I'm giving the platform a five-star review.

GGuest UserMe and my partner stayed here for our engagement. The hotel was a little run down and could do with some TLC. However it was still nice and clean. We had such an amazing stay. The staff were friendly and the location was amazing. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel for someone looking for something that’s perfect but I would highly suggest it to anyone looking for a beautiful view at a good price. We think it was definitely worth every dollar and absolutely loved the stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel is just in front of the station Gare du nord.Very easy and convenient to go anywhere to Eiffel tower,Louvre museum,and others from here either by bus,metro,Eurostar.U won't get lost.Just the lift for the hotel is a bit small.It can accommodate u and 2 big luggage one time.There is KFC beside the hotel and other cafes.The carrefour is behind the hotel.So u can shop some groceries or snacks also.

I stayed at the Originals with my friend for 3 nights, then another 2 nights. We pre-booked and paid for the 3 nights in FULL before arrival.
Upon arrival, we were charged a deposit of €150 Euros which was explained to be a security deposit to be returned after checkout.I had no issues with that and focused on exploring Paris.
There was a day my room wasn’t cleaned and I complained to a mixed lady at the hotel reception politely to inform the cleaner and she condescendingly looked at me and blurted “I’m not the cleaner”. I never asked her to be one, I only informed her so she can tell the cleaners to make a stop at my room and refill the shower gel, replace soap and toilet paper.
The day I checked out, I missed my flight due to the Paris traffic and had to reschedule my flight to the next available date which was in 48 hours which meant I needs to stay in Paris for another 2 nights. I headed back to the hotel.
I don’t know why but our cards refused to work despite being funded. We had some Euros cash left in cash and paid for one extra night.
The next day, we asked to extend but our cards wouldn’t work. We informed them that we needed to get some sleep but would try an ATM or go to a BDC to change some Dollars.
In between, the cleaner came to the room and yanked off our key card cutting off the light supply, we were barraged with calls from the reception threatening that security was going to escort us out of the room.
It’s wild because most of their staff is black and yet they treated us like ****.
We saw how white guests were treated and black guests and the difference was clear.
Maybe they had an assumption and became discriminatory towards us.
Note that 4 nights out of 5 was already paid in FULL and they had a security deposit of over 200 Euros with them.
We had to abandon everything and rush to an ATM to withdraw more cash💰 to pay for the final day.
Let’s not get into the fact that one of their staff ******* almost tried to be ****** with me.
I got into the elevator to go and get water at the restaurant on the 8th floor, he kept looking at my boobs and made suggestive comments about wanting to spend the night with me. He also insisted on a hug.
I cried from the experience of that hotel and very horrified. As a travel content creator, I will document my experience with videos when I’m back home and share YouTube videos. If you’re a Nigerian or black woman, please avoid THE ORIGINALS. I was excited to be here but it turned into a nightmare.
As a business owner myself and CEO of 3 thriving companies, I saw some many lapses in their customer service. The entire place needs a staff overhaul.

AAnonymous UserBreakfast: Standard continental, with a spacious dining area. However, the French chain burger joint right outside is absolutely delicious, with a Caribbean flair.
Room: The double room felt cramped, which is understandable given it's only 13 square meters, similar to some student accommodations in the UK. I wouldn't recommend it.
Cleanliness: The lobby is large and quite good. However, there were small bloodstains on the sheets, which looked like they had been washed many times. The bathroom is tiny, as the bathtub takes up a lot of space. It feels like an old building that's been converted, similar to the 'laopoxiao' (old, dilapidated, and small) apartments you find in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. You could probably find a better option for the same price. But then again, it is a chain hotel.
Location: It's fairly convenient, within 30 minutes of major attractions. However, the entrance isn't very conspicuous, and you have to climb a steep hill to get there. There's a nice park near a subway station behind the hotel.
