"Despite the clear indication that reception was open until midnight, there was no staff present when we arrived. We were only able to enter the property because the main gate had been left open by another guest. Once inside, the reception was open but completely abandoned, with no assistance.
Due to the significant train delay, we weren't able to communicate our arrival time in advance, but in any case, we didn't receive an email from the property with access instructions. Only after contacting the manager by phone via the Trip app were we given instructions on how to independently retrieve the key from a key panel, which included the room number. I understand the self-check-in option when it's clearly organized and communicated, but in this case, it seemed like a makeshift solution to make up for the absence of staff, without any real assistance to the guest.
The quadruple room had several obvious shortcomings: the bedside lamps were missing lightbulbs, the refrigerator was completely empty despite the amenities listed as water, and only the basic bath towels were available, with no attention paid to the minimum expected comfort.
The management of additional services is further perplexing: the only option for hot drinks is an outdoor vending machine, a solution that doesn't convey a particular focus on the overall quality of service, especially considering the internal reception area is present but unused.
Overall, there is a clear lack of management and guest care. This is a real shame, because the property enjoys an excellent location and has great potential, but as things stand, the level of service offered doesn't meet expectations or what was advertised. The only positive aspect is that we slept well, but this doesn't make up for the numerous critical issues encountered."
