Romantic Hotels in Shaoxing

The slippers were only as shown in the picture, and they were covered in mold. I couldn't shower, so I had to ask for plastic slippers, which I borrowed from the inn next door. The air conditioner was right above the bed, blowing directly at me while I slept, making it very uncomfortable. I booked this room based on other reviews that praised the environment, but in reality, all the rooms are connected, like a motel with flowers outside. Where's the inn I was supposed to stay in? I've never stayed in an inn so crowded! The large steps at the entrance looked beautiful. Other reviews mentioned help with luggage, but there were only two girls at the front desk. Would you really feel comfortable asking them to help with luggage? All I can say is that it's great marketing. Please don't do it again next time.

Facilities: The hotel is fully equipped with a kitchen, chess and card room and a cinema, and the overall atmosphere is very stylish. Hygienic: The hotel environment is clean and tidy. Environment: The hotel is built on the mountain. When you open the curtains in the morning, you can see the mountains and streams. The mountains are smoky. It is very suitable for coming to inhale oxygen and relax. There are a few cute kittens in the hotel. It is a pet-friendly place. You can bring your dog and interact with your cat. Service: Breakfast is made by the aunt at 7 o'clock every morning, refusing to use pre-made dishes, balanced nutrition, noodles are especially popular.

I took my family to go together. The second time, the boss is very good, the scenery is very good, the quiet and atmospheric design style is comfortable and comfortable. The chefs are all locals. Listening to the dialect, drinking tea and eating braised meat, it is worth experiencing 👌

The location is fantastic! It’s a remote hotel not far from the Fuzhi Rice Terraces. It’s a great place for the summer time when you want to relax by the pool and have a walk amongst the fields. They had fireworks which was a lovely touch. I maybe go back. However, the place is very dirty and is in need of a deep clean. There was a dirty plate in our room, the door on the inside of our bathroom is black at the bottom, the pool needs a clean and the tiles need fixing, the white curtains in the dining area are old and need replacing, there is dust in the corners or the windows as you eat. This place is great but it could be SO much better with a deep clean every month. There are different members of staff and the man on the last day was much more attentive than the first day. Instead of being on the phone, those men could be cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the place. It’s too expensive for what you get.

Because our package included a king room, I wanted to change it to a twin room. I called the reservations department before check-in and spoke to a woman. After I told her I wanted to switch from a king to a twin, she said an upgrade was possible. I thought it was going to be resolved perfectly, but then she added, ”We can do this upgrade this time, but we won't do it again in the future.” Before I had even checked in, she had already successfully killed any desire for me to stay here again. I specifically checked the room rates for that day, and the twin and king rooms were the exact same price—so I'd love to know what ”upgrade” she was talking about. Since the reservation was non-refundable, I checked in with a sour mood. Fortunately, the young lady at the front desk was warm and welcoming, and the housekeeping service during our stay was satisfactory. Still, I won't be coming back again.

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers. First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children. Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted. Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times. While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating. Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

This guesthouse was clean and the room was spacious. The front desk staff was really enthusiastic. I had originally booked a first-floor room, but he mentioned it might be a bit damp and have mosquitoes lately, so he upgraded me to a second-floor lake view room. He even helped me with my luggage. In the afternoon, he brought over some yellow wine, dates, and anise-flavored beans – very much in the spirit of Lu Xun, like his famous line about the jujube trees! Haha. He also asked what time I'd like breakfast delivered to my room the next day, and the breakfast was quite substantial! If I went out for a walk and came back, I could even WeChat him to ask him to turn on the AC beforehand. When checking out, he even gave me some yellow wine and dried plum souvenirs! The environment and service were both superb. It's very close to Fushan Park and Cangqiao Old Street, which was convenient for evening strolls and getting something to eat. Extremely satisfied!

Experience a great stay! Maybe it's not wild luxury in the traditional sense, but there are a few things that far exceed expectations: 1) Awesome location and environment. This place is just a hotel, which was renovated based on an ancient village, so it's very comfortable and quiet. 2) The house made of wood and bricks feels like it can breathe on its own. It’s not cold or stuffy without turning on the air conditioner in winter. The quality of sleep at night is excellent! Our group all got a high-quality sleep here, which made my cold better😄; 3) Authentic rural life experience: We came on the third day of the new year, and the hotel arranged to make rice cakes in the morning and fried peanuts in the afternoon , Fireworks are set off on the bonfire at night, and breakfast and dinner are the highest quality of farm food😆; 4) The hotel's service staff are very hospitable and attentive. Shangshitang is very suitable to relax yourself, get some good sleep, and experience high-quality rural life!

The hotel is halfway up Tianmu Mountain. It takes about half an hour for us to take the bus from the Tianmu Mountain Visitor Center to the big lawn. The hotel guy was very enthusiastic and patient. He picked us up and took photos for us. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location with a stream and bamboos next to it. The food cooked by the uncle is very delicious. When it was served, I didn't have time to take a photo with my phone so there was no evidence. It's a CD anyway. A very happy journey~
