LLinlinhepengpengThis guesthouse is nestled in the innermost part of Jiwo Du Village, east of Gongnong Bridge. Unlike many of the 'influencer' guesthouses along the way, which often feature concrete frames, floor-to-ceiling glass, and rooftop pools, this one truly stands out. It consists of two old houses thoughtfully renovated from their original rammed earth structures, complemented by a newly built restaurant in the backyard. Both the architectural design and interior decor exude a wonderfully warm ambiance. The renovation of this guesthouse masterfully blends the old and the new. There's a brilliant interplay between old and new spaces, a harmonious combination of old and new materials, and a complementary arrangement of old and new objects. It feels very cohesive and well-designed. The two houses were even renovated using different methods and approaches, which was fascinating to learn about after the owner's detailed explanation. It really showed how different user perspectives and methods can lead to such varied outcomes. While the rooms may not offer the 'influencer guesthouse' thrill of gazing at mountains through glass, they provide a richer sense of history and comfort. The incredibly generous and thoughtful breakfast prepared by the hostess was the icing on the cake. A truly wonderful experience.

AAnonymous UserExtremely satisfied! The location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. Right outside, there are all sorts of great food options and car rentals. The owner is incredibly nice. I booked this place specifically for the Shiba Inu dog, Fa Cai, and it really feels like he brings good fortune to his owner. The projector works great, no need to download extra software. Even the tissues are thick and high-quality. There's an elevator, and the owner even provides various tools right by the elevator entrance. The room is clean and quiet, truly impeccable. My only suggestion is that since two pillows are provided, it would be great to offer one firm and one soft option for guests to choose from.

GGuest UserThis guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful. However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

AAlberta FilaferroThis is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

22morrowsworldRelatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues. Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony! Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!! Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

AAru-chanTHE BEST OF A HOTEL + THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY Choosing LINJING HOMESTAY was a great decision! I recommend it 100%. THE BEST OF A HOTEL: Spacious, beautiful, bright room with all the amenities and impeccable cleanliness. The views were fabulous, the bed was wonderful (large, with a comfortable, soft mattress and very soft sheets), it also had chairs and a table to work at, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. I liked that there were natural plants, too. The bathroom was fantastic. The bidet water gun was a pleasant surprise. You can shower with very hot water and good pressure. Don't worry if the floor gets wet: the water-repellent tiles dry very quickly. There are disposable towels if you want to bathe in the river, but there are also soft cotton towels and non-slip slippers to use in the hotel. THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY: The hosts are a warm local family. I was touched by their kindness and hospitality. They helped me a lot and always gave me fruit and other nice things to eat. They were always willing to share a cup of tea. They also got me a motorbike at a very good price. And they let me use their washing machine for free. They even drove me to the station and dropped me directly on my bus. THE SURROUNDINGS: The location is excellent. It is a quiet neighbourhood where local families live. You meet very friendly people all the time. You just have to cross the bridge in front of the hotel to get to the old quarter. Behind the hotel there is a path leading up to a viewpoint that few people know about. The path is very well signposted and is perfect for watching the sunset.

Jjuney22The hotel is sandwiched between a restaurant and a retail shop. Its very noisy as there are many shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. Every day there's loud music till late at night. The room is spacious and overall clean. However, there's no elevator and you have to either drag your luggage up the stairs or get the hotel staff to help you. Plus you need to drag your luggage for 10mins to catch your didi from the main road. The restaurant next to the hotel has 10% discount and their beer battered fish was very yummy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

LLezhiyingrenThis hotel is conveniently located just a 3-5 minute walk east of Xingping Pier, right at the foot of Laozhai Mountain. After getting off the high-speed train, a 5-yuan shuttle bus takes you to Xingping Bus Station, from where it's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the hotel – super convenient! The owner is really nice and incredibly welcoming. They can even help arrange round-trip transportation to Xianggong Mountain for the next day. The hotel boasts a viewing platform and a restaurant, both with reasonable prices. Enjoying a meal or a drink while taking in the stunning Li River views is incredibly relaxing. If you're tired from sightseeing, you can unwind in the lobby downstairs, sip some tea, and listen to the artistic owner play the guitar. It's so relaxing that I decided to extend my stay for a few more days.

The location was absolutely perfect – really close to West Street, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. It was super convenient for exploring and dining, and yet wonderfully peaceful when we returned. The owner was incredibly gentle and patient, providing amazing service and being very nice👍, with prompt replies to everything. The guesthouse itself was decorated in a warm, simple, and tidy style. It even had a large balcony where we could enjoy the stunning Li River scenery while having breakfast in the morning – truly atmospheric. It felt less like staying at a guesthouse and more like visiting a friend's home. Next time I'm in Yangshuo, I'll definitely choose this place again. Highly recommend! 😘

GGuest UserThis hotel was the best one I stayed in China and it was also the cheapest one. The room looked even better than on the pictures, it was very spacious with a large and comfortable bed, a couch and many amenities. The room was modern, clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect, literally in the middle of the busiest street with hundreds of shops, restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. within a 2-minute walk. Despite the central location, the room was quiet and I didn’t hear any noise from the busy street so I could get a good nights sleep. The receptionists were also friendly, check-in was much faster than at other hotels and they even let me store my luggage there for free after I checked out. Overall highly recommended!
