The room was very clean and had a small balcony perfect for smoking. Xiao Hei was incredibly helpful, carrying our luggage and always turning on the A/C before we returned, so the room was always cool and refreshing. We accidentally left a bag behind when we checked out, but after contacting the owner, they kindly mailed it to our next destination. We're so grateful! 🙏 The hotel's location is also excellent, very close to the pier and restaurants. All in all, we were really satisfied!

My stay here was absolutely fantastic, definitely a five-star review! The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for dining out and shopping. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and handled check-in very efficiently. There's a balcony for drying clothes, and the room was spotlessly clean with no strange odors. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was great, ensuring a really peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plenty of hot water, and a full set of toiletries. The public areas were clean and tidy, and all the facilities were well-maintained. The price was very reasonable, offering incredible value for money. It's perfect for both leisure and business trips. The service, cleanliness, and environment were all top-notch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

Location is centrally placed in the Town and with that comes some annoyances: street noise, stray fighting dogs and loud neighbours, including some guests who ignore the ” from 10pm quiet rule ” ear plugs are essential. Outdoor shoes to be removed at the front door. 100Riggit is taken at checkin and reimbursed on check-out. I had the double bunk bed room. Comfortable wide bed with bedside lamp ,a bonus. No wardrobes,could do with more hanging hooks. Shared bathrooms. There were three showers and three toilets which I never had to queue for one. Each shower room and toilet was supplied with flipflops. Loads of 'do's' and 'don'ts” notices everywhere with threats of heavy monetary penalties. AC worked well, I hate hard floors so used soft slippers in my room. Everywhere is spotlessly clean in the common areas as mentioned, although my room wasn't or rubbish emptied in the three days I was there. The kitchenette was adequate for hot drinks but someone else was cooking breakfast in the microwave. Resident cat's still present. The bus terminal for Tawau is about 50metres down the road,extremely convenient!

Semporna is an interesting place to visit, with several islands surrounded by coral reefs for snorkeling and diving, more beautiful than many other snorkeling spots worldwide. Staying at this hostel instead of moving to an island resort is a good way to budget. And not only that, the fish market in Semporna is the most incredible one I have seen, seafood like lobsters, large shrimps, crabs so fresh, not even the one at Kota Kinabalu can be compared good as it was too. The DZ hostel lady staff was very helpful and can arrange for island trips at a reasonable price. The dorms are separated into boys and girls, something I truly appreciate. The bathrooms faced the afternoon sun, so they were dried easily and kept clean. Laundry by machine was offered free, a super plus for swimmers. The hostel also offered local Malay snack food for breakfast, and coffee or tea were always available. To be honest, it's a good budget place to stay while splurging on the island tours. It's a bit sad that no cooking is allowed here, even though there was a kitchen. Sad because the seafood mentioned above was so available. The facade of the building is nothing to boast about, and like many places, the external (streets, pavement, eyc) can be a mess. That should not deter visiting this part of the world mainly because the sea in this area is astoundingly replenished with marine life.

A great transit hotel. But if you need to stay longer won't be a problem. Located at the center of Semporna commercial area. Lots of shops and restaurant nearby. The jetty is also very near to this hotel. You won't have problems walking around the area. Choose the room with the view and you will never regret it.

Considering Semporna, this place offers decent value for the price. However, the water pressure is quite low, and it's either scalding hot or freezing cold. Even though the staff don't speak much English, they are incredibly friendly. Overall, it's pretty good value for money.

I stayed at the hotel for four days and felt very good. The hotel owner was very friendly and thoughtful. The relevant facilities and equipment are very complete, and the hot water is abundant. I recommend choosing this one, thank you

The place is near to the fish market and nearby eateries. Hence, you may need earplugs for a better sleep as the sound proofing is barely noticeable, especially if you stay at the one with balcony. The rooms are spacious for 2. They do not provide daily cleaning services unless requested as per posts from other guests. It would be more enjoyable if the cleanliness can be enhanced, especially behind the cabinets which could be moved, there are many small dead insects body which gives the room a hint of the insect smell. Attention to cleanliness for scrubbing of sink and floor to mop will be much appreciated. The mirrors should also be checked to avoid safety hazard as the corner one that I stayed is already loose from the edges. Looking forward for a more improved and enhanced version of the place as it deserves to be.

We were island hopping in Semporna, and knowing the living conditions here were average, we chose the Mushroom House, which was considered a tourist attraction in Semporna. Sister Ping treated everyone who stayed there like a friend, even upgrading our room, sending a driver to pick us up in town, and even taking us back to our accommodation after the island hopping trip. I knew she had to take a taxi to pick us up, but I felt embarrassed, after all, the room rate was there. The overall experience was really good, and the people were warm and kind.

Not bad. The overall environment is clean and tidy, the location is also very good, the transportation is convenient, but the sound insulation is not very good, I hope it can be improved, the service is also very good
