Ardent travellerMy stay in DaNang and nearby towns were over 9 days, By the time we checked into Monarque, this would have been our 4th and last hotel before leaving for home. If we can, we will give the hotel 6-stars for the service, near-like butler service; being greeted from our HoiÁn ride to the reception with welcoming titbits and refreshing drinks during check-in (in fact, every time when we were at the lobby area, we are ”served” refreshing dring) till bringing us to our individual rooms, luggage separately delivered by the concierge.
My room needed rubber mat in the bathroom/walk-in shower for my elderly father and they provided without fanfare (unlike other hotels we stayed before this).
The booking had indicated afternoon tea- what was surprising is that it was English high-tea. And our first night we were even given complimentary Phó for dinner. It was top notch beef broth with Phó - we all loved it.
The delicious meal does not stop there, the breakfast spread was plenty - a blend of western and Vietnamese food (including Bahn Mi, Vietnamese coffee, lovely baguettes, soup, variety of egg Benedict).
I will write here to thank every staff member whom we have crossed paths with during our stay, every one of them served us (even with other guests) with their utmost best and always with a Smile.
Monarque may not be the tallest hotel building on the DaNang strip beach but it has a beautiful swimming pool on the 12th floor that overlooks the sea and the beach with many wonderful seafood restaurants that are just across the street. (perhaps the council of that area could add yellow caution blinker lights at the pedestrian crossing, that will help the crossing feel safer). Without crossing the road, and just behind the hotel you can get many massage parlour and a plethora of Vietnamese food - we dined at a Hanoi cuisine restaurant and the food was delicious!
Overall, my trip to DaNang was made memorable by Monarque. I really hope to stay again at the hotel-keep up the great service!

Facilities: Well-equipped with comprehensive amenities. The little details like the scales and double-sided mirror were a nice touch.
Cleanliness: Generally good, though the towels could be a bit cleaner.
Environment: The sea view is absolutely stunning! You can even watch the sunrise from your bed.
It's very convenient for seafood, with popular seafood stalls just nearby.
Service: Excellent, I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel breakfast was also very good 👍

I saw someone refer to this as the 'Huazhu Hotels of Vietnam', which is interesting, but I personally think it's even better than Hanting or Atour! The staff, both men and women, were all smiling and provided great service. The hotel's decor is charming and stylish, it's clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The value for money is exceptional. I stayed at M Village Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for three days this trip to Vietnam, and then decided to stay at M Village Hotel in Da Nang for another three days. Highly recommended overall.

The location is great, just across the road from the beach. We booked a sea view room, and the view was fantastic. If you enjoy waking up to an ocean view, this hotel is a great choice. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
One of the receptionists could speak a little Chinese, which was very helpful. All the staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. The security staff were very helpful and always assisted us with parking our car. The hotel staff also helped us carry our luggage because there are steps at the entrance, which we really appreciated.
The only issue was that the Trip app showed the children’s breakfast fee (ages 5–11) as VND 200,000 per day, but the hotel charged VND 250,000 (8years) per day at check-in. It would be better if the information on the booking platform matched the actual charge.
The room soundproofing could be improved, as we could hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms.

Henry_the_KingTo be honest, some highs and lows here. The service here is more like a 3-star hotel, definitely not a 4-star. I remembered the first two days I was presented with this nice buffet with good food choices , then for another 3 or 4 days, the buffet stopped running and they switched to this really underwhelming a la carte menu that looked more befitting into a 2-star backpacker or student hostel. Then I found out the buffet was only set up because of a number of Chinese guests staying there. When they left, the buffet went (obviously me and the other 15 guests who were staying there, didn't deserve it??) The last two days they set it up again, and surprise, a large number of Russian guests had just checked in. So it turns that only if you are Chinese or Russian you get the attentions here? I know what I paid wasn't cheap, smacks of discrimination. Then on those days the service turned sloppy, I came early for breakfast, I think this is the first place I have been, where they penalise you if you come to eat early. 30 mins after opening and some trays were cold, I had to use the toaster to heat it up. The housekeeping was a bit strange here. They didn't replace the bed sheets, they simply tucked them in (I know this anecdotically, for a fact) One of the coffee cups replaced was soiled and stained, and in one occasion, they had removed one of the bar items without telling me (paving the way to maybe ask me to pay for it later without me taking it, this is not a good practice)
The coffee bar was very hit and miss. Some of the pastry pieces on display were some of the most ghastly I've ever seen, they looked raw, I had to ask them if they had been baked, they said yes (they were unglazed) On the second day, they served me this wishy washy mish mash of crushed ice with some mango on top, didn't taste of anything, they wanted 40000 d for that, how is that even on the menu? After that, I didn't set foot in there again.
The hotel was not even at 20% capacity, and they had the brilliant idea of putting people directly next to me and above upstairs..really? The pikey backpackers would be thumping on the floor a lot of the time, very poor isolation.
Upon leaving, I had this Be taxi driver (white car, 125.xx plate) He parked across the road, I was carrying my suitcases, I told him to turn around. He got in his taxi, drove off, and left me STRANDED, this was a booking to the airport, what kind of subhuman does that??? My experience with the Vietnamese is not great, but the staff here were kind and helpful, and assisted me greatly. Location not really great, a bit far from everything, but the place was very clean. So there are some positives, but this is in no way a 4 star for me, especially when subject to profiling and priviledges are removed, depending on where you come from, and what colour your skin is.

PAMELA SUE ANTANLocated right across the beach. Many eateries, mart and laundry nearby. Room was quite spacious and clean. Swimming pool overlooking an amazing ocean view. Varied wide spread of breakfast buffet, food was tasty. Staff were friendly and kind. Concierge men were very helpful and welcoming.
Unfortunately, upon checking out, we were shocked to be charged us USD7 without any explanation. Only when we queried, the receptionist mentioned it was for a ”broken shampoo bottle”, which we were very sure we left the room in tip top condition. We further asked for proof of the broken bottle, only then they sent someone to retrieve the bottle and brought it to the reception counter. The bottle was intact, not broken as claimed. However, the receptionist said the housekeeper claimed there was a ”crack” at the bottom of the bottle, which none of us including the receptionist could find the alleged ”crack”. the receptionist tried so hard to prove there was a crack but we insisted on ”where was the crack?' because we couldnt see any obvious crack and nothing leaked out out the bottle - it looked more like a light scratch. In the end, the receptionist told us to write a case report to the housekeeping to resolve the matter.
We were disappointed that this matter was not handled professionally and we felt accused for an alleged crack. We were amazed at how meticulous and sharp the housekeepers were for noticing a light scratch at the bottom of the bottle and the bottom of shampoo bottle was the 1st thing they inspected. Plus, we didnt use their shampoo - we brought our own shampoo.

Ruan Ming Jun (The Good King)
The hotel looks good at first glance – the view is beautiful, the room is spacious and nicely decorated. On the surface, it feels like a quality stay.
But that’s where the positives end. The amenities inside the room are very basic, and honestly feel cheap compared to the standard of the room. Considering the price (which is not cheap at all), the overall impression is underwhelming.
Breakfast was a complete disaster – poor quality, lack of variety, and far below the standard expected from a hotel of this level. It left a really bad taste for the rest of the stay.
On top of that, the front desk staff were not friendly. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was inconveniencing them every time I approached. Hospitality is supposed to be about warmth and service, but this hotel failed badly in that regard.
Verdict: Beautiful view and spacious room cannot make up for the poor service, terrible breakfast, and disappointing amenities. Definitely not worth the price. I would not stay here again.

JodiFaithMy stay at the Sandy Beach Resort in Đà Nẵng was absolutely wonderful. The room was not only big but also spotlessly clean, and it offered the best view of the sunrise I’ve ever seen—waking up to that every morning was pure magic. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety to start the day right.
The location is great too: it only takes about 15 minutes to reach the core beach, where you can enjoy jetskiing, parasailing, and other fun water activities. Whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family, this resort is a fantastic choice. I will definitely revisit!
