Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, very close to both the subway and bus stations. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, artfully designed, tidy, and clean. Downstairs, in Plaza de España, you'll find statues of Don Quixote and Cervantes, figures familiar to Chinese people. Just a small heads-up: the Nespresso capsules come with a charge. Also, while many highly-rated tapas restaurants downstairs on platforms like Xiaohongshu offer generous portions, the taste is quite ordinary. What impressed me most was how incredibly nice, thoughtful, and attentive all the staff were. I'll definitely choose Vp Plaza again on my next visit to Madrid!

I came here because the reviews were good, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I hope the owners keep up the great work!

The hotel was quite comfortable, but there's no direct airport shuttle. If you take the subway, you'll have to carry your luggage a short distance. The staff was okay; they kept asking if we wanted to add breakfast since we hadn't booked it, and they did deliver luggage to the room. The first time, they delivered the wrong bags, and when we told them it wasn't ours, they responded with 'but it has Chinese writing on it?' The turndown service included chocolates, and we got a free glass bottled water every day.

A nice, quiet hotel. Walking distance from the historic center (40-45 minutes).
The bar is excellent, perfect for a pleasant evening. The waiters and bartender are very friendly and helpful.
The airport is a 25-30-minute drive away, very convenient.

Located in a bustling downtown area, the hotel boasts excellent facilities and a stylish design. It's close to the subway, taxis are readily available, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Each floor has a drinking water tap, and breakfast includes a menu.

The hotel's location and staff service were excellent. It was very convenient to get to the palace, old town, and various restaurants. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including Chinese, Japanese, Western cuisine, as well as many pubs and cafes. A department store is just a 5-minute walk away for shopping. The hotel facilities are very automated and new. However, the space layout is a bit impractical: the bathroom door blocks the toilet door from opening fully, and the wardrobe is completely open-concept with only one shelf, a single hanging rod, and two drawers. One of the drawers is mostly taken up by the safe. Long coats and dresses cannot be hung vertically. I suggest the hotel move the ironing board from the hanging area to the bathroom, as it currently takes up valuable hanging space. The bar and terrace are fantastic, with great space and location. You can enjoy beautiful Madrid sunsets and evening glow from there.

Went to meet a friend at their cafe and was very impressed with the black and gold colour scheme throughout the lobby and the cafe area.
The cafe has a nice seating layout with very comfortable sofa’s and some decent arm chairs.
The service is also second to none & the coffee was really nice. It also was rather reasonably priced considering the location.
Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area :)

If I had known the suite would have a sofa bed and two single beds, I wouldn't have booked it.
The cleanliness and environment were quite good. The room was spacious, and there was a large supermarket a few hundred meters away. The microwave was very convenient.
I asked room service for a bottle opener, and they charged me 6 euros. I later returned it. Remember, delivery to the room costs money, but picking it up at the front desk downstairs is free.

We stayed at The Madrid Edition while celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday in Spain, and it was the perfect choice for the trip. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special and well thought out.
The hotel kindly surprised us with complimentary cava and a birthday cake, which was such a lovely touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We had also requested a flower arrangement in advance, and it was done beautifully—exactly as we had hoped.
The location is another huge advantage. The hotel sits right in the middle of the city, making it extremely convenient to walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping areas. It made exploring Madrid effortless.
What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only small downside was the room ambience lighting felt a little too dim at times. Aside from that minor detail, everything—from the lobby and facilities to the rooms—was excellent.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend The Madrid Edition to anyone visiting Madrid, especially for a special occasion.

DJ_travelReally like this hotel! Very central located on Gran Via. Close to all the shopping and touristy areas. Easy to walk around everywhere. The room has windows which are able to open, allowing for fresh air to come in. The room is spacious, beds are comfortable. There's a coffee machine also to make espresso. Bathrooms are well laid out and have good amenities. Would stay again!
