5-Star Hotels in Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

Booked two king size ocean rooms for our 4 days 3 night stay at Trinco Blu, was pleasant by the hotel beach front location and blue/white theme. we arrived in at 3am of our check in date, reception staff was helpful and quick to plan alternative rooms for us at additional costs, our pre-booked rooms were given to us the same day after. the hotel is truly beach front with beautiful sands and decorated surroundings, pool is attractive and rooms are spacious and we'll kept, amenities complete. the only draw back is the shower area tends to clog up every time and we are left with a small pool of flood, housekeeping takes time and there is only one restaurant within the compound serving food, good thing there is a long street of restaurants outside it's compound which is great to explore. staff are friendly and pleasant all around, and we do enjoy the clam and peaceful quietness of the whole place even though it's fully booked. Trinco Blu is a place i will recommend for those who wants time away from bustling cities, go for full or half board package if you want to recluse yourself if not venture out for a little local life traits. there are ample sights and things to do around this city, you can lost yourself in time here with a lover, a good book or just your thoughts. nothing happening much at night so it's always early sleep and early wake but the routine is good for the soul and rest for the heart.

Excellent hotel with well-maintained grounds and delicious food. Everything looks beautifully designed. There's a warm, large swimming pool with varying depths. It's not usually crowded here, but on weekends, locals from Colombo come to celebrate weddings and have fun, so it can get noisy. The beach is close by. On the property, you can find small creatures like lizards and chipmunks, and there are wild monkeys near the border with the neighboring hotel. There are also koi carp swimming in the courtyard. I've written more extensively about the food in another review; I'm writing this one because I extended my reservation. You definitely won't go hungry, and it's a great place to relax. A big thank you to Andrew and Yimukshi from the front desk – they upgraded our room a bit and exchanged money for us! Everything was superb, I would definitely come back again.

The reception was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. The room was beautifully spacious and comfortable, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in an ocean-view bungalow, which added a wonderful sense of luxury and made the experience feel truly special. The amenities were excellent, with a wide range of thoughtful touches that made everything even more enjoyable. This place is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and unwind. We highly recommend it – without a doubt the best accommodation in the area.

The hotel looks very primising in the pictures, beautiful setting and facilities. Unfortunately we were a bit disqppointed on the way it is managed. It looks like the place is abandoned relying on its own structure and pictures. Pros: - beautiful setting and location, in front of a beautiful beach. - rooms are well done, big bathrooms, nice outdoor area. - faclities have a beautiful decoration, the bar, the restaurant. Cons: - cleaning! The resort has a cleaning issue. To the point that we wrote ”clean me” with our fingers on the restaurant toilet mirror, and it was there during our entire stay. Nothing has regular cleaning, spots everywhere, toilets are terrible specialy the poil toilet (see pictures). - bar drinks are not good. We tried many drinks and juices in all the hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka, and this one we had to give up, drink after drink, juice after juice, were not good at all. Also the drink glasse come very very dirty. - bar is beautiful but never had any music during our stay. Its a silent empty place, no one uses it... and the bartender usualy is not there which makes it a ghost place. - service is welcoming but not prepared. For example before you reach the breakfast area upstairs they ask you: ”what do you want for breakfast? So i dont have to go upstairs to ask”, overall staff is tired, not motivated and have no training, they are as abandoned as the hotel. - spa was closed during our entire stay, because the lady had days off. So we booked a hotel with a Spa that did not exist...you have to be lucky not to book on her days off. - when at check-out i tried to tell them the place have lots of potential but they need to pay attention to this details they just replied: thank you for your stay, please make us a review on tripadvisor! So they just don't pay attention... which is sad to see. I wish they could change the management and have someone motivated and energic to transform the place into the best hotel in Sri Lanka, because they could be.

Maldives in Sri Lanka. The sea absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed so much the walking on the endless beach. The staff is amazing , made my solo trip so rich of memories and extra care, done multiple activities and I recommend the dinner in the cellar as they have the best cellar in Sri Lanka , and also a must the dinner on the platform in the middle of the sea! A big thanks for the unforgettable memories , they made me live a dream

At the staff were very friendly. Special thanks to both Robinson and Ruchira!! I was on BB basis and the breakfast was very good! And unlike other places where they offer chicken bacon these guys had the good stuff! Thanks

A great hotel, chosen from all the nearby hotels on the coast, but the choice stopped not Calm and didn't regret. First, a great beach with shadowy places with lying, second after all trips to the SL and stops in small hotels, wanted something al Turkey, so the parameter of the hotel is very worthy and big and third moment, After all the bathing in the big waves on the SL, I wanted to buy quietly! All this we got, but the truth is not quite transparent, because too small sand does not manage to settle even with small waves. Everything else is super! Large rooms, service, service! We have improved the room for free, with a separate outlet to the ocean, generally caught in this hotel full of cafe and relaxation. Separately, of course, it is necessary to take into account that Passicuda itself is a very small village, eat better only in a hotel or in neighboring ones. Whatever it is difficult to buy from products or K/B is difficult for whom it is important, it is better to do it in advance)

Отличный отель. Стильный, чистый, хорошо оснащённый номер. Есть всё необходимое: холодильник, чай, кофе, чайник, фен. Ежедневная уборка в номере, регулярная смена полотенец и постельного белья. Отдельное спасибо за отличный сервис парням, которые проводили уборку в нашем номере Jerom и Kajanthiran. У отелях красивая территория с шикарным бассейном. Есть тренажерный зал и игровая зона, бар. Отличный чистый пляж. Пляж каждый день убирают. Всегда доступны хорошие лежаки с мягкими матрасами и пляжными полотенцами. Вежливый персонал на пляже и в пляжном баре. Завтраки обширные, есть блюда на любой вкус. Национальная и европейская кухня. Огромное количество выпечки, вафли готовятся по вашему желанию. Всегда свежие сезонные фрукты. Ужин тоже разнообразный, есть как базовые блюда так и ”блюда дня”. Это могут быть морепродукты на гриле, свинина, кальмары во фритюре. Разные национальные блюда такие как ротти или котту. Отдельно можно поблагодарить официантов Sudesh и Kalum, они были очень внимательны и дружелюбны. На ужине из напитков предлагается вода, остальные напитки по меню (как во всех остальных отелях). Отель старается разнообразить каждый ужин приглашая разных артистов для создания уютной атмосферы. Одназчно рекомендую этот отель для отдыха. При возможности выберем его снова!

nice scenery! eat well! The room faces the sea! Watch the sunrise in the morning and watch the sunset on the beach in the afternoon! The hotel staff is very welcoming. Also take us to visit various public areas. Be responsive. Definitely a good place to go on holiday. The hotel's spa is also very comfortable! It is highly recommended to try the Indian Ayurvedic massage. There is oil in the brain to nourish the brain. Massage the whole body for a whole day.
