AAnonymous UserLet me start with the location.
-a little bit far from the center, had to drive around 5-10 mins to reach nearest 7e. forget about the other attractions, it needs more than 30 mins from the hotel.
Staff.
-i dont know but i feel like not helpful enough. they could’ve done better for the so called “5 stars” hotel wannabe.
Cleanliness.
-well it was clean BUT! right when we entered the room we saw the notice of the charlie ants. we were so scared to touch the floor with bare foot as i lost count on how much we had seen and managed to kill the insects on our own!
Buffet.
-was ok, not the best. many verities to choose from. well at least they tried.
Facilities.
-they won this time. my only complaint was the insects on the floor and walls of the toilet.
ZZuileThe hotel staff were incredibly dedicated and responsive to all our requests. The room was clean and tidy. The beach behind the hotel is a bit small, but it's shared with the neighboring hotels, so you can walk along it, and the scenery is still beautiful. However, the hotel's internal landscaping is fantastic. It's definitely worth another visit.
IIntan IzlanWe had such a wonderful stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang for my daughter's birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and ensured everything was perfect.
A special thank you to the team for the thoughtful birthday arrangement. It was beautifully prepared and made my daughter's day extra special. Seeing how happy and excited she was made our family trip even more memorable.
The resort is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the facilities are great for families with children. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
Thank you, Angsana Teluk Bahang, for making our birthday celebration so memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment and can't wait to come back again!
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang Resort! The resort is beautifully maintained, with direct beach access, spacious and comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities for both adults and children. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the pool area was clean, relaxing, and perfect for families.
GGuest UserThe room was beautifully vintage and spacious, leaving an amazing first impression. However, on the first night, the sheets had stains as pictured, and after reporting it, they were changed the next day. On the morning of the third day, I found what looked like mouse droppings on the balcony floor (pictured in image 4). I recognized them because I used to own hamsters; otherwise, I wouldn't have thought it. But the hotel denied it was mouse droppings, suggesting it might be bird droppings, as they had just disinfected a few days prior. Additionally, at breakfast, a middle-aged female server roughly cleared our plates without asking, making a lot of noise. This contrasted sharply with another younger, seemingly Indian male server who was smiling and polite when offering service. The hotel's response to these issues was just an apology and cleaning the balcony, which felt very perfunctory.
AAnonymous UserThis time I booked the Garden Wing, and the hotel facilities are indeed quite old. There was no welcome drink during check-in, and they even offered me a discounted rate to switch to a room with a less desirable view. If I were willing to accept that, why would I have booked this room in the first place? The greenery is impressive, with ancient trees everywhere, which is quite spectacular. The beach is also nice. However, the hotel's soundproofing is really poor; you can hear every little sound from the surrounding rooms crystal clear. I feel like this might be a common issue with Shangri-La hotels in Malaysia. The hotel breakfast is decent, with a good variety, but there isn't much change day-to-day, so it gets repetitive after a couple of days.
AAnonymous UserOverall, I had a pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City. The hotel is new, modern, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. The overall ambiance made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. That said, there is room for improvement in the service quality. The hospitality from the reception team and the kitchen staff could be warmer and more welcoming.
Overall, it’s a great hotel with excellent facilities and a comfortable stay. With some improvements in customer service, it has the potential to be an outstanding choice for visitors to Penang
SSpenseahThe hotel is just beside Gurney Plaza. It is very convenient. The check in staff served with a smile and offer ice cream for 13 of us upon arrival. Room was clean and big.Min bar was free and replenished everyday.
We send 16 pieces for laundry but it came back 10 pieces. The remaining pieces came back after we called them. It left stains on my clothes.
GGuest UserIt is a beautiful place to stay, we love it, especially the bathtub and the swimming pool, but there are some things that we really regret, the first menu for breakfast is the same menu on saturday and sunday please change it, the second its buggy not provide for our, who parking car far from the lobby hotel, the third its towel you don't provide for extra , l'm with three people in one room 2 adults and 1 children, we had to share towel..please considered it..this is my second time staying here..
KKelunLayout is nice and comfortable. The kids love it. I like the drawers provided under the beds. Initially I was worried about lack of a cabinet for clothes. Water dispenser is very well used by us. Plenty of power sockets near the bed.
Swimming pool had a great view. Chlorine taste was crazy strong though. Kids thought the water was salty.
Biggest gripe is that this place is too popular. 4 lifts serving the 30+ levels of patrons are not sufficient. During peak periods like meal, arrival or checkout timings, we waited more than 15mins to get into the lift.
Overall very pleasant stay.
