A lil bit annoying from the toilet. Making sound like someone knocking, from the pipeline. My kids feel a lil bit terrified from that sound. Is that a common sound there? But overall, its a very satisfying accomodation. my kids enjoy with the pool. Charlie, I came across one or two Charlie ants in the toilet and sauna room.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a wonderful family stay at Lone Pine! We absolutely loved the vibe here — peaceful, relaxing and beautifully surrounded by nature. It really suited us and was exactly the kind of getaway we enjoy. The breakfast was also one of our highlights — so good and we really enjoyed the variety! ❤️ The staff were warm, friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which made the experience even more special. And a funny little note… my teenage daughter loved Lone Pine so much that she has already started planning her wedding here! 😅😂 I guess that says a lot about how much she enjoyed the place! Definitely a memorable stay and we would love to come back again. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

Had a really pleasant stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang! 🌴 The check-in process was a little slow, but the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The amenities and facilities are really top-notch — there’s so much to do! They have a game area, kids’ playroom, kids’ pool, infinity pool and even a private beach. They also have a fire show on weekends, which was a nice touch. The resort has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views. Our room was very clean, and the housekeeping service was fast and efficient. Breakfast was one of the highlights — lots of choices, including a kids’ corner with kid-friendly menu options. We had breakfast twice and the menu was different on both days, so there was plenty of variety. Some dishes were a little salty for my taste, but overall the breakfast was really good. And the teh tarik + pastries was especially delicious! ☕️ Overall, a great place for a relaxing family/ couple getaway. Would definitely consider coming back! ❤️

We booked PARKROYAL Penang through Trip.com for our little daughter’s 4th birthday, and we honestly had a wonderful stay. I wasn’t sure if booking through Trip.com would make any difference in terms of service, but the hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, warm and helpful throughout our stay. The highlight for us was the little birthday surprise for our daughter. 🎂❤️ The hotel prepared a lovely birthday cake for her, which was such a sweet gesture and really made her day. It may seem like a small thing, but for us as parents, it made the trip extra special. The hotel is also very family-friendly. The beach is right there, the swimming pools and kids’ facilities kept our daughter entertained, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was quite convenient. The location is slightly away from the busier parts of Penang, but personally I liked that. It gave us a more relaxed holiday atmosphere, which was exactly what we wanted for a family trip. Most importantly, the service really stood out. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming and attentive, and we felt well taken care of from check-in until check-out. Thank you to the PARKROYAL Penang team for making our daughter’s 4th birthday trip a memorable one. ❤️ Definitely a hotel we would consider coming back to, especially for another family holiday in Penang.

After staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Penang, my biggest takeaway is this: It’s not the kind of hotel that impresses you because everything feels brand new. What makes it special is the relaxing resort atmosphere. The greenery is beautiful, the grounds feel peaceful, and you can easily spend the whole day just enjoying the pool, garden and beach area without rushing anywhere. The rooms have a more classic style rather than a very modern luxury look, but they’re comfortable and well maintained. Personally, I think this hotel is best for people who want a proper staycation and a slower holiday. If budget allows, I’d choose the Rasa Wing for the quieter atmosphere and more exclusive experience. My overall feeling: Rasa Sayang may not be the newest hotel in Penang, but it still has that timeless 5-star resort feel.

Breathtaking rooftop pool & the smartest stopover before the train to KL! I chose Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City mainly for its rooftop infinity pool, and it was 100% worth it! We stayed for one night as a stopover after taking the ferry from Penang Island, right before catching the morning train to Kuala Lumpur. Highlights & Pros: - The Rooftop Infinity Pool: Absolutely magical! Spotless, with great loungers, changing rooms, and showers. We spent all our downtime here. - Must-book Room View: Make sure to choose a Penang Strait view. The scenery of the water, port, and mosque is stunning. Avoid the city view—it looks quite industrial and desolate (you can easily see that side from the 8th-floor restaurant anyway). - Restaurant & Amenities: Dinner at the 8th-floor restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is spotless, modern, and provides everything you need. Downstairs, there’s a 24/7 7-Eleven and Zus Coffee. - Train Travel Hack: Staying here next to Butterworth Railway Station is brilliant. Taking the train directly into KL Sentral saved us the hassle of an airport transfer from 70 km away. Things to keep in mind: - Surroundings & Walking: The hotel is somewhat isolated and the immediate area isn't very pedestrian-friendly. Attractions like the Butterworth Art Walk are technically close, but walking requires crossing busy roads without pedestrian crossings. - Tip: Just take a Grab taxi! For only ~MYR 10, we took a cab to the magnificent Tow Boo Kong Temple on Jalan Raja Uda—highly recommended! Verdict: A stylish, modern hotel with world-class pool views and an unbeatable location for train travelers. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

The room was absolutely beautiful, with a spacious bathroom and a bathtub. The pool was huge, and everything about this place was amazing. There were also plenty of mirrors in the room, which I loved. Definitely a place I’d come back to again.

I visited Penang a few months ago, and three months later, I returned and stayed at this hotel. A few days before check-in, the hotel staff sent all the relevant information via WhatsApp, which was very clear. We took a Grab from Penang Airport and arrived at the hotel in the early morning. We picked up our room cards at the front desk in the hotel lobby. The hotel looked beautiful and impressive from the outside. We stayed for four nights on the 30th floor. Upon entering, the room felt spacious and comfortable, and being on a high floor, the view was very open. Although there was no bottled water provided in the room, there was a water dispenser, which solved the issue of drinking water. Character-themed tableware was also provided. However, there was a broom and dustpan set placed in the center of the room, which felt a bit odd. As for the not-so-good aspects, some areas weren't clean enough, so we had to clean them ourselves. The hotel did not provide toothpaste, toothbrushes, or even disposable slippers; only a pair of non-disposable plastic slippers were available. So, for those who need disposable slippers, be sure to bring your own.

My stay here was very satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, close to all the attractions in the Old Town, making dining and shopping very convenient. I stayed in the Heritage Wing, which has historical artifacts on display in the common areas, perfect for a quick browse if you're interested. The staff were friendly and responsive, providing daily newspapers and updating the mini-bar. The breakfast is made-to-order, and while the selection isn't huge, it's served piping hot, which is a big plus. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea and evening cocktails. The only downside was a strange noise in the room at night, and the soundproofing between floors wasn't great. If that's a concern for you, perhaps try the new building; I haven't stayed there, so I can't comment.
