5-Star Hotels in Macau, China

The hotel's location is excellent and convenient for getting around. Due to the Chinese New Year holiday, breakfast was very crowded. After 8:30 AM, you pretty much had to wait for a table, and the staff were overwhelmed. The breakfast selection was just average. However, the service in other areas was fantastic! On the day I checked in, the bellboy brought my luggage directly to my room, which was a great experience. The fireworks at night were also beautiful! My only regret is that I left my iPhone charger and cable plugged into the socket by the bed! I wonder if it's possible to find them and send them back to me? I stayed in room 936.

The location is super convenient, really close to Fisherman's Wharf and Sands Macao. The room was very clean and tidy, and there's a small kids' play area, which is great if you're traveling with children. A special shout-out to the restaurant – we had both breakfast and lunch there, and both were excellent. The concierge service at the entrance was also very good, always helping us call taxis.

On a business trip to Macau, I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel and I'm so glad I finally settled on the Grand Lapa Hotel due to its convenient transportation. The hotel boasts an impressive architectural style and an excellent location with plenty of amenities nearby. The abundant breakfast was particularly satisfying. The staff were very helpful and always willing to assist. One day, my room card wouldn't open the door, and it turned out the room lock's battery had died. First, a bellboy accompanied me upstairs to check, and then after about a ten-minute wait, two technicians arrived to fix it, which they did in just a few minutes – very efficient. The bellboy was also very quick and efficient in helping me call a taxi and with my luggage. I brought my own bedding as I was worried about mosquito bites in Macau, but the hotel's bedding was actually very clean. It has the advantages of an older hotel (excellent location) while mostly avoiding the drawbacks (outdated facilities). Although the style is from the 80s or 90s, the carpets and bathroom facilities don't show their age. Great value for money!

No complimentary water and the service was just okay, but the location was great. Overall, my experience at this hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming and efficient during check-in. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to get a good night's rest. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Chinese congee and Western pastries, all of which tasted great. The hotel's location is superb, with convenient transport links and shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. It offers great value for money, suitable for both business trips and family vacations. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to this city and highly recommend it to everyone!

Had a fantastic stay at YOHO Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Macao. The hotel feels modern, classy, and well-maintained, with a stylish design that gives a premium vibe the moment you step in. One of my favourite parts was the beautiful sea-facing view towards Hengqin, which made the stay extra relaxing. My room was very spacious and comfortable, and I loved having a private balcony to enjoy the view. The highlight for me was definitely the huge bathtub — perfect for unwinding after a full day out. The amenities were also great, with stable Wi-Fi, mini-bar, and in-room entertainment, making it a very complete and luxurious stay overall. If you’re booking the Suite King, do note that these rooms are usually limited in units and are often located near the last few rooms on each floor, likely because of the bigger room size and layout. So it’s best to book early if you want to secure this room type. I also enjoyed the facilities, especially the outdoor pool and fitness centre. The hotel is also family-friendly with a kids’ pool and play area, which makes it a great choice if you’re travelling with children. If you’re looking for extra relaxation, the spa treatments are a nice touch too. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service, which makes travelling to nearby attractions more convenient. However, one small downside is that if you’re coming by public transport, you may need to walk a bit from the nearest LRT station to reach the hotel.

We loved our stay so much the first night that my child begged to stay another, so we extended our booking. This five-star hotel truly offers a fantastic experience, highly recommended! The Neptunian Restaurant on the ground floor serves delicious food. It gets quite busy around lunchtime, but hotel guests get a 10% discount, which makes it excellent value for money. Getting to attractions is super convenient; there's a ** nearby that you can just walk to. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Macau, highly recommended!

Facilities: The hotel has a dated feel, and all the facilities are old. Cleanliness: The hygiene was quite good. Environment: The location is great with a ** car (likely a typo, perhaps referring to easy transportation or a specific car service), but it's very old. Service: It was just okay. I booked a non-smoking room, but upon arrival, they said there weren't any? So why bother asking me to specify non-smoking? Then they said there was one... but I still smelled smoke while sleeping at night. I booked this hotel out of curiosity, but it's not good value for money, and the service was mediocre. I won't be staying here again. Things weren't properly arranged (referring to details during booking that weren't met). What can I say, a newer hotel would be better.

Had a fantastic stay! We were so lucky to have such a wonderful cleaning lady. She was responsible for our room (06928) for all four nights and was incredibly warm and friendly. Knowing we had two kids, she proactively gave us extra water bottles and tissues, just in case we ran out. Her dedication to her job was truly impressive; she would meticulously check each towel for stains before giving it to us. Even when I told her the bathroom didn't need cleaning, she'd spot dirty areas and kindly ask if we'd like her to clean them. I've never encountered such an exceptional cleaning staff member – so diligent and genuinely caring towards guests. I don't know her name, but she made our stay so much better. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, which made the kids very happy. The hotel also has a heated swimming pool, and on the second floor, there's a Yaohan department store and a food court, making it incredibly convenient. Even if we didn't go out, we could easily spend an entire day enjoying the hotel amenities with the kids.

Five-star service, the staff were all very enthusiastic, and the room was cleaned impeccably. The breakfast selection was excellent, even offering Indian cuisine. The location is superb, with multiple bus lines right outside the door. The only downside is that the hotel is quite old; the faucet handles were a bit stiff. The room is sealed, so you can't open the windows for ventilation. You have to keep the air conditioning running all day to circulate the air, otherwise, you can smell a stale odor.

It's really hard to find a hotel with a balcony in Macau. The hotel also has an outdoor heated swimming pool and a hot tub, and there's even a sauna in the changing rooms, so you can fully enjoy yourself even in winter! The hotel's decor is incredibly luxurious, making you feel like you're living in a palace, and the facilities all seem well-maintained. **Breakfast:** Breakfast is served at the hotel's Parisian restaurant and is a buffet with a diverse selection. You can also order noodles, sandwiches, and omelets made to order on the spot, and they taste pretty good. What's more, they even offer ice cream for breakfast, which is really special! If you choose not to eat at the hotel, there are plenty of 'cha chaan teng' (local diners) and other restaurants just across the road, some even open 24 hours! **Transportation:** The hotel is located right in Fisherman's Wharf, particularly close to Casino Oceanus and Sands, so you can take their shuttle buses from Gongbei Port to get near the hotel. There's also a bus stop not far from the hotel, so transportation is incredibly convenient. If you need a taxi, the hotel concierge can even help you call one. **Service:** The hotel staff's service attitude is genuinely excellent – very warm, thoughtful, and makes you feel right at home!
