I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Royale Signature Hotel, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising stays in Alor Setar! From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and welcoming — the staff genuinely made me feel like a guest, not just a booking number. The room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials: comfy bed, soft pillows, mini-fridge, and a spot-perfect workspace. The sleep quality was impressive… though, full disclosure, the soundproofing could use an upgrade — I could occasionally hear faint hallway sounds. Nothing deal-breaking, but something to note if you’re a deep sleeper. Location-wise, it’s a winner. Walking distance to Aman Central, local cafés, and Alor Setar Tower made exploring effortless. High floors also offer a lovely city view — perfect for morning coffee or sunset photos. Little touches made my stay memorable: complimentary Wi-Fi that never faltered, modern toiletries, and those small staff gestures that made a difference — smiles, helpful directions, and quick responses whenever I needed something. My wife and I recently stayed here and overall, we had an enjoyable experience. The room was reasonably priced and offered good value for money. We especially liked the cozy atmosphere, and the convenience of having parking right in front of the room made our stay even more comfortable. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The air conditioning was directed straight towards the bed, which made it quite cold during the night. Basic amenities like a toothbrush were not provided, so it’s better to bring your own. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a bit slow. Despite these minor issues, we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back again.

There was a slight issue during check-in regarding my booking. I had booked a room with breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child, but the front counter mentioned that their system only showed breakfast for 2 adults. After I showed them the details from my Trip.com booking, they still needed some time to recheck before finally confirming it. It was a bit troublesome, but thankfully the matter was resolved. On the positive side, the room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. TV channel options were rather limited, though. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hotel’s flexibility in allowing us a late check-out after afternoon prayer without any hassle or unnecessary questions, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly come again in the future.

Across the road, there's a Thai restaurant run by Chinese owners, offering good value for money. Areas for Improvement: 1. **Condition:** The corridors and rooms are a bit dated. 2. **Air Conditioning:** Some rooms have central AC, others have wall-mounted units. In some cases, the wall-mounted units didn't blow air, and we had to clean the filters ourselves, which were very dirty. 3. **Bathroom:** The bathroom lacks a modern feel. 4. **Breakfast Quality:** The breakfast quality isn't very high and also feels dated.

Dinner was absolutely delicious, offering a wide variety of choices to suit everyone’s taste. Breakfast was just as delightful — the hash browns were perfectly crispy, and both the pasta and macaroni were full of flavour. We really looked forward to every meal! 🏡 Our room was spotless and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and the water pressure was strong — making showers a real pleasure. 🌟 Activities and surroundings added to the magic. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, and my children had so much fun splashing around in the pool provided. One of the highlights was the strawberry farm, which was so close that we could see it right from our room window. 💖 Overall, our stay at The Jerai Hill felt peaceful, refreshing, and filled with joy. It was a perfect escape for our family, and we can’t wait to return!

This new hotel is in the technical opening phase. Taxi drivers and Grab don't know about it, so make sure you get dropped off at this location. The staff is very responsive and ready to help with any questions. The hotel has a gym and laundry facilities, which is very convenient. Laundry detergent is available at reception. Cleaning service is available upon request. Awesome infinity pool on the roof. The hotel is located in the city, and getting anywhere without transportation will be difficult. Rent a car, then you can easily get to any attraction.

The location was great and the staff were Friendly. However, service was quite slow for food and drinks. The beach wasn't ranked or cleaned regularly and there were often cups and stuff like empty coconuts left from the previous night when we would go to the beach in the morning (like 10am so not insanely early). The room was nice but dated and the regular cleaning staff did well, but it needed a deep clean.
