This was my first time bringing the kids to Macau for Chinese New Year. The hotel's location is super convenient, with a taxi stand and bus stop right outside. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There's also a Cafe de Coral restaurant downstairs, which was handy for meals. The welcoming service was excellent too! Oh, and the kids even received a New Year red packet in the room, with a gold coin chocolate inside – they were thrilled!

I had a truly fantastic stay! I usually stay in Taipa, but this time I chose Harbourview Hotel since I was visiting the Grand Prix Museum the next day, and I was pleasantly surprised. Huge thanks to the hotel for upgrading me to a suite – the room was incredibly spacious, and most importantly, it was spotless and well-maintained. I'll definitely book here again on my next trip to Macau. It's super convenient; you can take the Sands shuttle and just cross the road, or use public transport as there's a bus stop right opposite the hotel. There are water dispensers in the hallway, though only cold water, which was perfectly fine.

Staying at Metropark Hotel Macau. The hotels in Macau Peninsula and Taipa really have different price points. Hotels in Taipa feel very overpriced, likely catering mainly to casino guests. I chose this hotel because it has a swimming pool and a fitness center. Neither are very big, but they're decent enough. They also have a spin dryer, sauna, and steam room. The view is alright, but the soundproofing is a bit poor.

This hotel is located on the southeast side of Macau Peninsula's old town, close to the sea. The rooms, lobby, and hallways are all luxurious and grand, with golden decorations and a magnificent golden dragon coiling around the dome. It's a 4-star luxury hotel that feels more like a 5-star. The guest rooms are quite spacious, and during Chinese New Year, they provided complimentary drinks and snacks, which was a nice touch. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it convenient to get to many popular tourist attractions. For food, there are plenty of traditional eateries offering Portuguese egg tarts, pork chop buns, Portuguese and Hong Kong-style cafes, and old family-run shops, all with excellent flavors. On the morning of the eighth day of Chinese New Year, when I checked out, the female manager at the front desk, dressed in a black suit, proactively asked about my airport transfer and helped me call a taxi. She also informed me about the estimated fare, and when she learned I didn't have small change, she kindly exchanged some MOP for me. The taxi arrived quickly, and two male bellhops helped me put my luggage in the trunk. The manager even came to the hotel entrance to remind me not to forget my luggage when getting off and waved goodbye. Her genuine and enthusiastic service was truly exceptional. A thoroughly satisfying stay and experience.

The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to the Grand Lisboa Hotel, just a 5-minute walk away, right across the street diagonally. It's also very convenient to take public buses. The hotel staff are very nice and friendly. The front desk attendant even gave a complimentary breakfast to the child. There are many great restaurants near the hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit; it offers excellent value for money.

I spent two days in Macau and chose to stay at the Holiday Inn, initially just for the convenient location. To my surprise, I'm now a huge fan! From check-in to check-out, every detail made me feel 'at home.' I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Macau. The hotel is right in the heart of Senado Square, just a 5-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's and 10 minutes to Senado Square itself. Downstairs, you'll find a bus stop and taxi stand, making it super easy to get to the airport or Taipa (about a 15-minute taxi ride). The biggest surprise was discovering so many old-school eateries nearby – Dai Lai Kei Pork Chop Bun, Yee Shun Milk Company, Chan Kong Kei Roasted Meats… You can easily grab a late-night snack just by strolling around, no need to rush.

Hotel is old and tired, need renovation badly. However room is clean and tidy. Reception service was so-so and not welcoming. Check-in was good though, just the night time when approached another receptionist for my own room number but was given a cold and not welcoming reply. It was normal for guest to forget their own room numbers as they don’t stay permanently. However a simple way to verify was guest able to give his identity numbers and name. Or hotel can always accompany the guest to the room to verify. However this guy was so unpleasant and blunt in his replied. Will not stay again in this hotel.

This hotel has a charming European retro style, complete with Portuguese-inspired tiles and vintage telephones. The room layout is a bit compact, but it's very clean. The location is fantastic, right next to major attractions. There's a Guandi Temple downstairs and the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau across the street. It's a 10-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's, Na Tcha Temple, Macau Museum, and Mount Fortress, and about a 20-minute walk to Grand Lisboa Hotel and other spots. The service was friendly. I really appreciated the complimentary mini-bar (one per stay) with free snacks and drinks. A special highlight was enjoying the night view from the rooftop with a free drink – it was incredibly romantic and truly wonderful!

The Grand Dragon Hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and Taipa Village, with a taxi stand right outside. I heard that Grand Lapa Hotel is owned by the same company. I booked a high-floor room with a bathtub online in advance. The room wasn't huge, and thankfully, the power outlets didn't require an adapter. The front desk is on the 21st floor. For check-in, you'll need your Hong Kong and Macau travel permit and the printed immigration slip (the small white one). A deposit is also required, which you can pay via Alipay by scanning a QR code. Overall, the service was pretty good. Just a heads-up, food deliveries can only be brought to the hotel entrance.

CChrisChen1029The L'Occitane en Provence hotel is located on the 11th and 12th floors of The Parisian Macao building. Our room, 1216, offered a view of the East Asian Games Dome, with about two-thirds of the Eiffel Tower visible from the window. The stay included breakfast for two days. On the first day, we chose the Ice Room, and while there were many options, the food quality wasn't great. On the second day, we went to Angelina, which offers a Western-style breakfast that I personally preferred. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. There aren't many public transport options directly outside the hotel, with only the T435 'Skating Road / The Parisian Macao' bus route available. It's about a 700-800 meter walk to the nearest Light Rapid Transit (LRT) station.

GGuest UserThe price difference between staying one night and the next was over 900 yuan, mainly because the environment was so bad. The room was freezing cold, and I could only turn on the AC (cold air). The bed was icy cold when I got in. The facilities were outdated, and there was only one working electrical outlet. It was a complete rip-off!

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was quite spacious. It would be even better if the bathtub and shower were separate, haha. The twin beds are 1.4 meters wide, which is great if you're traveling with kids. It's not far from Wynn Palace; we went around 11 PM and rode the cable car twice, haha. It's also within walking distance to the light rail, and the night view along the way was fantastic.

GGuest Userexcellent location with 5-minute walk to Senado Square (city centre) and tourist attractions nearby. I can also walk along the NamVan Lake sidewalk after dinner. Bell service is excellent as the captain helped to bring my luggage all the way from the hotel to the car and ensure a perfect loading. Breakfast was good with a variety of western and Chinese options. I particularly liked the snack, soft drinks and beer in the room prepared for hotel guest. Express checkout made my life much easier. This was my second visit and the good service standard is well kept after 10 years.

JJieyuStayed one night at the Pousada de Coloane, a charming Portuguese-style building. The small beach below has clearer water than Hac Sa Beach, though the sand isn't as fine. Perhaps due to the limitations of the original architecture and renovation costs, the decor isn't particularly refined. However, the new wall tiles immediately catch your eye. Every room faces the sea and has a balcony with an excellent view. Pousada de Coloane is a historic hotel steeped in Portuguese charm, with roots tracing back to the 1930s. Origins: The hotel was originally a private estate built in the 1930s. Official Opening: The estate was formally converted into a hotel and began operations in 1977, and was managed by the same family for over 25 years. Architectural Style: The hotel's architecture retains traditional Portuguese elements like arched doorways, azulejo tiles, vintage furniture, and decorative ceramic plates on the walls, creating an antique and peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle.

Sswing2The hotel's location is great, not far from the city rail, making transportation convenient. It's in a residential area with supermarkets and chain restaurants nearby, and there's also a restaurant in the hotel building offering a buffet. However, the hotel's amenities are old and outdated; for example, the hairdryer button was missing, and the TV is a small 24-inch model with no smart features or casting options. Given the price, I can't complain too much. The only major downside, as others have mentioned, is the terrible soundproofing. I could hear people walking upstairs past midnight, the sound of water running from the next room, and every person walking by and door closing in the hallway. It made for a very poor night's sleep. Overall, you get what you pay for. But the good location and friendly staff are still worth praising.
