This hotel has a charming retro vibe, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The rooms are spacious, and both the river-view terrace and river-view bathtub are perfect for photos. At check-in, I requested an extra bed, which cost an additional MYR 78, plus taxes. The staff efficiently brought my luggage to the room and made up the extra bed. The location is great – a short walk along the river takes you to the Red Square, St. Paul's Church, and Jonker Street.

Overall the hotel is quite good
It located near the Jonker street and affordable price for tourists
facilities is excellent but the shampoo given smells weird
So I suggest to bring your own one
Have some nearby restaurants and they provide free parking so it’s quite convenient also.

Had a good stay here with my besties. The room is clean but a bit cramp for 5 of us for queen bed, 2 super single bed & extra bed. Location is good as it's nearby to tourist attraction area, we just have to walk abt 3-5mins.

We've stayed at Hotel Arissa many times since it's opening. Great location, friendly and helpful front desk, nice room, comfy bed. We love the smell once we enter the hotel lobby...after so many years, Hotel Arissa still maintaining the hotel well. That is why we keep staying here whenever we are in Melaka. Coway water dispenser was well provided at every lift entrance floor and that makes us convenient to get hot or cold water at any time. Thank you for fixing the toilet bowl so efficiently.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the old city, next to Jonker Street. It's super convenient for eating out and taking walks. Plus, the hotel itself has a rich history with elegant decor, feeling just like a small museum.
This new hotel has a great location, surrounded by plenty of food options and shops. It also offers very good value for money and is highly recommended for budget travelers.
The room was new, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, and ample parking is available. It would be even better if a water dispenser were provided.

Room was clean. Hotel corridor carpet smells as it is old. Room floor not carpeted. Toilet big but no wet and dry separation. So whole toilet gets wet when bathing. Toilet seat was not working. Kept falling down. Location was good. Near Jonker street where night market is. Hotel staff asked about time for room service which was good and provided another key upon request when needed. Fridge was not cold at all. The aircon too! Although it was 16 degrees and turbo speed, it felt like 28 degrees. The condensers outside the room was also making a lot of noise at night. Value for money. Would stay again when I visit malacca again.
This place probably used to be great, but it's really showing its age and needs some serious maintenance.
**Location:** Very convenient.
**Amenities:** Didn't have time to use them.
**Cleanliness:** Needs improvement.
**Service:** I have to say, the human customer service was excellent. I really appreciate not getting those robotic, AI-like responses where you wait forever for a reply. The deposit was refunded quickly, so the service was good in that regard.

GGuest UserOur stay at Puteri Bay Melaka was great 👍🏼 The location was great because we are able to have a good view of the beach, and it was near food places. The hotel reception and staff were also kind and helpful. Food selection for breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and had a good sleep 👍🏼👍🏼
The downside was that the toilet was not totally clean as there were strands of hairs sticking out from under the bed. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided in the room, and the prayer mat had an odour.
Generally, the stay was good although maybe staff need to ensure the room cleanliness and smell abit more?
I would still recommend the hotel for the comfortable beds and nice view and location beside the waterfront 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
AAnonymous UserBase on the price is acceptable!
Overall is ok, location is not too far away from town, then get cheaper price than town.
Room is ok, air cool ok,
shampoo and shower gel to be improved better quality .
Book with breakfast, because not familiar there, disappointed that no have coffee machine, just coffee pack with hot water only, suggest the hotel need to investments the coffee machine for more choice,
Coffee is important for breakfast .
Food need to improve, must keep warm not just put food inside, then no keep warm, you can see from photos.
Maybe you need to put a microwave for guest to do heat up themselves.
A good thing is you have “ white porridges “ which was hot
The staffs are no check spoon and forks, need to improve and re-training!
GGuest UserThe location is a bit out of the way, a fair walk from Jonker Street, which made getting around at night a bit inconvenient.
The room had a dark, somewhat eerie decor, complete with an old-fashioned TV and two opposing floor-to-ceiling windows. The overall vibe felt a bit unsettling to stay in. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet wobbled a bit, which wasn't ideal, and the air conditioning vent was directly above the bed, making it quite cold at night.
The light switch design was poorly thought out; turning off the switch for the bathroom would cut off its power and ventilation, and turning it back on would restore power, but the ventilation fan was incredibly noisy, buzzing constantly and disrupting my rest.
The front desk staff were quite friendly and they offered a simple breakfast of toast, bread, eggs, milk, and coffee. You have to clean up and dispose of your own dishes after eating. Overall, it's decent value for money and perfectly fine for a one-night stopover, especially for budget-conscious short trips. 🧐🧐
GGuest UserConveniently located in the middle of Jonker Walk which allows you to explore most the weekend activities by just walking. You can just walk back to the hotel to freshen up and them go out again. The only minus point is that it can get too noisy at night as the room is facing the street where the street activities are going on.
AAnonymous UserGood hotel. Nice and clean.
Very convenient for us since just a walking distance hotel for the feast day (St. Pedro).
This is not our first timer. Been regular to this hotel without miss for a yearly event.
GGuest UserI tried to reach out the night before check-in regarding the check-in details but received no reply. On the day of check-in, my calls went unanswered. I had to contact Ctrip for help, and it took about half an hour to finally get the check-in instructions.
The living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom were all very clean and modern. However, the bath towels were very old and had an unpleasant odor; as you can see in the picture, the 'white' towels were actually a yellowish-brown.
The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and leisure facilities nearby. Be warned, though: as the apartment is right by a main road, there was a lot of noise from late-night street racers. This is a heads-up for light sleepers.
ZZhouyoulieguodeshaguaIt feels a bit like a hostel, but the hygiene is good, and you have to take off your shoes when you enter. There's a very cute and friendly cat. On the first night, there was no hot water, but it was resolved after I reported it. The concept of Swallow's Nest is environmental protection and energy saving, so sometimes it feels inconvenient, but on second thought, it's not bad. The room is quite small, and the bathroom design is extremely compact. Since they don't provide breakfast, the hotel offers free instant noodles and coffee packets. The lobby on the first floor feels like a living room at home. It's very comfortable to sit and chat with a cup of Milo before bed.
Mmr hishamVery suitable for family gatherings, worth the price .... only the expectation is not very high, for those who like quiet, it is the best tmot
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, on the river short walk to Jonker St yet quiet. We had a balcony room. You need to stand to see the view but it was good to have outside space to watch the boats go by. We also saw a monitor lizard swimming. The room was really stylish and the bed was really comfy with lovely cotton sheets. We stayed 2 nights and there was no cleaning. Wild coriander restaurant next door is excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant is owned by a third party and not part of the hotel. It was very convenient to get cabs. We walked to Daily Fix for breakfast which again was excellent.
