The hotel's location is excellent, close to Wan Chai MTR station, but the room facilities are a bit old and basic. Our booking included breakfast and afternoon tea; the breakfast had a great variety, and the blueberry yogurt was delicious.
Executive Lounge Afternoon Tea: It was a Hong Kong-style afternoon tea, and the curry fish balls were tasty. The turnip was very flavorful, and the braised tofu and duck meat were also good.
Staying at this hotel made it convenient to visit C desert nearby.

For Hong Kong, this hotel offers great value for money. It's much more comfortable after the renovation, and the location is excellent, just a few steps from the bar street. However, one of the staff members at the front desk was a bit perfunctory. When I asked her where the airport bus stop was, she just said, 'go straight down this road, and the first bus stop is it.' She didn't specify that for the airport, you need to cross the road to the bus stop on the other side. There are airport bus stops in both directions, and naturally, I assumed 'the first bus stop' meant the closest one. Luckily, a kind passerby told me I needed to cross the road for the airport, otherwise, getting on the wrong bus and wasting time would have been a huge hassle. Why work in customer service if you're going to be so unhelpful? A quick tip for everyone visiting Hong Kong: always bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

Be careful!!!! Our experience with Empire Hotel was very unsatisfactory. We booked the hotel thinking that its going to be like any other 4-star hotel, as the price per night was similar to others in the area. It turned out, that this is hotel was 4-stars, maybe 20 years ago. The furniture and all room equipment looks like something I’d expect to find in a cheap student rental. Destroyed, quickly fixed with tape or paint (lol), siliconed windows to provide “isolation”, neighbors that you can hear even when they’re not particularly loud. Stained carpets, no amenities like drinkable WATER! We were shocked. No toothpaste or toothbrush in case you forget yours. In our room even fridge was dirty, not to mention the state of shower or ventilation. I would rank this hotel 2-stars.
If you’re a fan of white noise this hotel is for you. If not, avoid their AC at all cost! I dont know how people stay there during summer, but its definitely not normal to feel like there’s a vacuum cleaner on next to you. We complained to the staff and were told that all rooms are the same. Trip.com unfortunately was not able to help us with relocation… second great story for another time. We were finally moved to a “better room” just to find out that indeed “all rooms are the same”. We also got a couch there that didnt even stay put together… I dont want to know how much people pay for that “premium” room…
Honestly, there are many better hotels in the neighborhood, give them a chance instead of staying here. Good luck!

For Hong Kong, the hotel's location is reasonably convenient, though the room is small with downsized furniture and dated decor. I specifically requested a room far from the elevator in my notes, but the elevator noise every 5 minutes was still quite disruptive. A major drawback: all the power outlets are European three-prong, which isn't compatible with mainland Chinese chargers. The front desk staff didn't warn me during check-in; I had to ask for an adapter later. The only positive was that the hygiene was good, and the shower had strong water pressure. As for service, Hong Kong hotels really need to learn a lot from their mainland counterparts!

Thanks to all the previous reviews, my check-in was very smooth. I stayed in a single room with one single bed and a sofa. Although the room was small, it was enough for one person. It seems like the double rooms just replace the sofa with another single bed.
The hotel staff were excellent and very enthusiastic. I didn't encounter any unpleasant experiences.
The facilities aren't particularly new. The bath towels were a bit frayed from washing. The toothpaste was surprisingly hard, like candy, which I wasn't used to. There's no drinking water provided in the room; you have to get it yourself from a designated spot. Hong Kong's environmental efforts are very thorough.
It was very convenient to take the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, and then from the hotel to Disneyland and Tung Chung. I'd like to suggest to management that drivers announce the stops at each station, or have pre-recorded announcements in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese playing at each stop. Many people got off at the wrong stop on the way back from Tung Chung because the shuttle goes to the Regal Hotel first.

Perfect location with easy access to variety of food within 10 minutes radius, Tin Hau is famous for food which local Hong Kongers hangout. Take a walk across Victoria Park and reach centre of Causeway Bay. I love the neighbourhood which is less crowded compared to other areas in Hong Kong.
The room is modern with good showers and fair size bathroom. There is no room for chair to sit down as my room has a king bed with luggage storage space under the bed. They provide a small table for breakfast in bed.
The WiFi is a big issue for me in a corner room the interruption of the WiFi won’t allow me to watch IG smoothly. I later discovered that the next room’s WiFi is a bit better,as it’s a shared public WiFi the security is minimal. Think twice if you plan to work from your room using the WiFi.
The staff onsite are all polite and helpful (they can’t do anything with the WiFi though).

The hotel is right near Victoria Harbour. You can take a footbridge directly to the Avenue of Stars, which is just a few minutes away. It's also very close to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, and K11 and Harbour City are both within walking distance, making it super convenient. The only downside is that the room facilities are quite old and look a bit dirty.

Location is convenient, 10-minute walk to MTR station or take bus (right next to Hotel) for only one stop to Shatin Town centre. Besides Hotel airport transfer, you can take Airport bus A41 at same bus stop to airport. We are fortunate to assign river view room to enjoy seeing the sunset in bed. Exceptional!! Within 5 minutes, walk for variety of Food Choices nearby and open till late night. It also has supermarket, pharmacy and two 7-11. About the facilities, hotel cake shop is good and we got to enjoy discount with room card presented. We enjoyed our stay of 6 days.

The ultimate value-for-money king in Hong Kong! Harbour Plaza Metropolis exceeded all my expectations.
Choosing the right hotel is crucial when visiting Hong Kong, and the Harbour Plaza Metropolis absolutely blew me away! Its location is prime – directly opposite Hung Hom MTR Station, just a 5-minute walk away, making travel to and from mainland China incredibly convenient. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui, getting you to the shopping district in just 5 minutes. Being next to the Hong Hom Coliseum is fantastic for concerts, and the International Plaza shopping mall downstairs means shopping and dining are literally at your doorstep.
My sea-view room was absolutely stunning. Opening the curtains revealed panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with elegant and cozy European-inspired decor. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was generously sized. The facilities were top-notch: fast, reliable internet, complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, and an electronic safe. They even offered a free shoe-shine service – attention to detail was exceptional.
The biggest surprise was the 25-meter outdoor heated swimming pool, where I could swim while admiring the Victoria Harbour views. The fitness center and spa were also excellent for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was fresh and diverse, offering a full spread of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff were warm, efficient, and spoke excellent Chinese, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Whether for business or family travel, this is a top choice in Hong Kong. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I booked two rooms this time and specified that two couples would be staying. The front desk gave us two king-size rooms, which we were very happy with. The young man at the front desk was also very helpful. Hong Kong is a place where every inch of land is precious, so the hotel rooms are genuinely small. However, the rooms were very clean, the decor was new, and the air conditioning was very cold – I had to turn it off at night for fear of catching a cold. Overall, apart from the small size, I was very satisfied with this stay. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Hong Kong for my son's graduation ceremony.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel randomly, but it turned out to be excellent. I was assigned a room on the 31st floor, which offered a stunning view of both the river and the mountains.
The room itself was clean, and most importantly, the location is absolutely superb. There is a tram passing right in front of the hotel, and it's within easy walking distance of the main shopping district. Additionally, there is a convenient store right outside the hotel where you can buy cheap snacks and drinks.
I do have to deduct a small point, however, as the pillows were not very comfortable. Despite this, I will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThis hotel provided super good class mattress. Even much better than 5 star hotel. My room is on 21 floor and the city view is beautiful. The hotel price is not high in compare with other 4 stars hotel in hotel. I definitely will go back to stay in this hotel because I want to have a good sleep

GGuest UserHotel room is good, room sizing is very large compare to another hotel with thecsame grade around this area.
But!!! The breakfast is very poor, The hotel put many bacon and sausage since open hour. After that no reheat or replace new one if the bowl is empty, the hotel just takes it out and adjust the other bowl even it's still a breakfast time. So, don't spend 150pp for this cheap quality of food. Other parts it's fine.
AAnonymous UserFirst off, we tried to cancel our reservation because our child was unwell, but the hotel wouldn't budge. Luckily, our child recovered, so we came to Hong Kong. After checking in, we had a lot of luggage, and no concierge offered to help. The hotel also doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to buy it yourself. Even extra toiletries cost money. They do have a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is very convenient. We booked a sea view suite, and the view was indeed lovely. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was definitely my worst experience.
MM624408****The room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points.
If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel.
When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.
MM29909****A very mediocre experience. The front desk assigned us a room on the 4th floor, which was incredibly noisy facing the street late at night. There were no toiletries or slippers provided at all. The toilet also suddenly started malfunctioning in the middle of the night, making continuous noise, and the soundproofing with the next room was terrible. Overall, it was a pretty surreal experience.
KKeo ReyesNo frills hotel. It provides what you need for a stay in Hong Kong. The location was good. It was close to the train station and within walking distance of food, the mall and the harbour. The staff were friendly by Hong Kong standards. The only issue was that the bed could have been softer. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again. The photos shared are of nearby outlet shops and the harbour.
AAnonymous UserSome sections of the hotel are newly renovated, boasting a more contemporary style. However, rooms on the 14th floor and above still retain a 1990s aesthetic. Cleanliness was satisfactory, though the facilities are a bit dated. Comfort levels were acceptable. The surrounding area offers abundant dining options, public transportation is convenient, and Victoria Harbour is within walking distance.

Cleanliness: Standard and clean.

Service: Quick response.
Breakfast: The taste of the breakfast offerings was good, but the variety of dishes was much simpler compared to hotels of the same caliber domestically.
