Anonymous UserâGood for a Transit Stay, but the AI-Driven Service Needs Workâ
I booked this hotel mainly because of the reviews mentioning the good food and free pick-up/drop-off shuttle service. Communicating with the hotel before check-in to arrange the shuttle was easy through the hotelâs WhatsApp number, which I found on Trip.com.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel seems to cater quite heavily to Chinese visitors. There was a line of Chinese guests checking in, and one of the front desk staff spoke Chinese fluently. Some of the notices around the hotel were also written in Chinese, presumably Mandarin.
Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was nice and helpful. However, I was informed that I needed to install an app to use various hotel services during my stay, including the digital room key and room service. While this may be convenient for some guests, I personally found it a bit of a hassle at the time. The installation itself took some time, followed by an explanation of how to use the system.
The food was average, with a reasonable selection of options. However, the refilling of some items was rather slow. For example, the milk for the coffee machine ran out and was not replenished promptly, and at times there was no cook available.
The room itself was nice and spacious. One thing I particularly liked was the layout, with the washing area located near the entrance. The toilet unit also looked new. Unfortunately, the towels looked rather shabby and could use an upgrade. Complimentary bottled water was available upon request, which was a nice touch.
One of the biggest downsides for me was the lack of a telephone in the room. All service requests have to be made through the app. I had to communicate with an AI chatbot, but the chatbot would often instruct me to go downstairs and confirm the request with the reception desk anyway. I found this rather confusing and wondered what the point of the AI system was if I still had to speak to a staff member in person.
It seems the hotel is trying to adapt to AI and reduce the need for human staff, but the system does not seem to work effectively yet. In my experience, it actually added an extra step rather than making things easier.
This was especially noticeable during check-out. There was only one front desk staff member, which was surprising. He was very patient and did his best to serve everyone, but the hotel really could have used more staff at that time. As a result, the line became quite long. Had I been informed during check-in that I could simply use the self-service machine to check out, I could have avoided the queue altogether.
The location is in the CBC area, although finding the hotel felt a bit like navigating a labyrinth. It wasn't the easiest place to locate, especially for a first-time visitor.
Overall, I would say you get what you pay for. For a one-night transit stay, the hotel was acceptable, especially with the free shuttle service and spacious room. However, the hotel could significantly improve its service by having more human staff available and making its AI-based system more practical and user-friendly.

Had a cosy, quiet and enjoyable 5-night stay at Herloom's one-bedroom premier twin room. Experienced some problems with the balcony door and bad odour from below the kitchenette's sink, and the support came to rectify the issues promptly. Breakfast was fantastic. All the hospitality staff were courteous and, without fail, asked for feedback for improvement. Kudos to the customer service team! Special shout-out to Ranti, who greeted us every morning with her bright smile and was prompt to help with all the requests we had during breakfast. Great service with sunshine smiles even on rainy days! Will definitely recommend Herloom Hotel and Residence BSD to travellers for a comfortable stay at BSD.

Guest UserThe room is spacious and affordable, with a shopping mall downstairs, and Chinese restaurants nearby. Taxis are also readily available. It's one of my favorite hotels, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. Haha.

ABEDAIIt's convenient as it's close to the airport and a station on the Tangerang line. However, there's not much around besides convenience stores, so you might need to order via GRAB.

IchakamilEverything was absolutely great! The location is strategic, and the food was delicious. However, I do have one complaint: the room had a bit of a musty smell when we first entered. I hope this can be looked into. Also, during breakfast, there were some black bits in the orange juice. Even after changing glasses, it was still there. We informed the staff, and they immediately responded and offered us complimentary watermelon juice. All the best, Hotel Santika!

Guest UserThis hotel's location is very strategic for transit passengers, especially for Umrah/Hajj pilgrims. Regarding cleanliness, the carpet should be replaced with a new one to avoid the musty smell. For facilities, there's no elevator to the rooms, which can be a bit challenging if guests have a lot of luggage. Overall, the hotel staff's service is excellent and friendly; they even escorted me to the check-in counter. Thanks!

Guest UserOverall the hotel was favourable, more positive issues then negatives such as:
1. location good especially if ur into golfing,
2. breakfast was ok, very nice restaurant ambience
3. Easily accessible to chain restaurant as itâs connected to a mall
But, having laid out the positives, here is the single most important issue that will make me
avoid the hotel ( n i recommend u to avoid it too) unless the management changes its policy on energy saving.
My 6day 5 nights stay were sleep deprived, as every night between 2-3am the hotel decides to reduce itâs air conditioning temperature which made sleeping unbearably hot, I woke up sweating all 4 nights except for 1 night(maybe because I was too exhausted or maybe they got fed up of my complaints) which I did incessantly ..the first nite I went to the lobby to complain to the duty manager,,and every nite after before retiring to the rooms 10.30/11pm, I would remind the duty manager the same thing..which they promised that they will inform the hotel engineers ..but it never worked..every night Iâd be calling the duty manager n after 30minutes of still suffering in the heat,,I would go to the lobby and personally complaint..check ur damn cameras if the hotel mgmt thinks Iâm making tis upâŚmy stay was 19/7-24/7/26..itâs just so stupid to operate a hotel tis wayâŚif u really want to save energy without disrupting the guests sleepâŚshut it at 5am, when itâs oredi super cold n most guest r also in the process of getting up!!! Please avoid this hotel if u feel sleep is important to u!!!

Guest UserApart from the obvious advantage of the location, it's a very comfortable room and quite a good breakfast with plenty of options in local cuisine apart from Western options.
A bit of research about locating the hotel is useful because it's between the 1st and 3rd floors.
If you are between flights with difficult times there are options of early and late check in/check out however these come with a significant charge.
We asked about left luggage and the charge per day was so high it was not worth it. I assume other hotels in the airport have similar policies.
Overall it was a very good choice for us with some bulky luggage so getting a shuttle or taxi/rideshare would have been tiring.
