Hamburg Hotels with Bars

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center. It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and overall feels well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I especially liked that coffee and drinks are available anytime, which is a really nice touch. The breakfast was also great, and the pancake machine was such a cute and fun addition. I would also like to give a special thank you to Adrian at the front desk (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He was absolutely fantastic, very kind, professional, and genuinely caring. He communicated clearly and handled everything very well. I even noticed he was training other colleagues, and it was obvious that he understands the business and customer service extremely well. He really made a positive difference during my stay. There was unfortunately one issue with housekeeping during my stay. I had stayed one day, liked it so much stayed 4 more days. On my first day, on several occasions a cleaner entered or attempted to enter my room early in the morning even though check-out was at 12:00. On my first day they knocked at 11am/12/12.30 and actually came in at 12pm, although I had paid for late check out (which by the way is an amazing option to have), while I was still naked in bed.  One cleaner in particular — an older woman with short burgundy/brown hair — was quite abrupt. She repeatedly gestured for me to leave quickly. At one point she pointed at her wrist as if indicating a watch and used hand gestures to signal that I should hurry and leave, even though I still had time before check-out. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially as housekeeping knocked once and then opened the door quickly on a couple of occasions. On my last day, someone actually came in at 10AM in the morning. I just do not understand. I know it is a big hotel, I know they have to get a lot of rooms done in a short amount of time. I just do not understand the aggression of demanding a guest to leave so they can clean. Thankfully, Adrian at the front desk was extremely helpful when I explained the situation. He took my concern seriously and helped communicate with the housekeeping team so it wouldn’t continue. Adrian really saved my stay!

Great Location and Reliable Comfort in Hamburg! I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Location: Very convenient. Can take the city bus from the main train station (Hbf) and stop at Repsoldstraße which is directly infront of the hotel. Rooms: Clean, modern, and well-designed. The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent despite being central. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold options. Staff: Friendly, welcoming, and quick with the check-in process.

The location: The hotel is extremely centrally located. All major attractions are easily accessible. The highlight: The view from our room was simply breathtaking and unforgettable. The breakfast: The morning buffet was very extensive and offered a huge selection of fresh dishes. There was something for every taste. Conclusion: An all-around successful weekend. We will definitely come again!

The entrance is under renovation, not sure how long it will take. It's quite clean, but not that close to the station. There are quite a few supermarkets nearby though!!!!!!

Overall, the stay was very good, except that I didn't get the booked room with two single beds, but only a 140 cm bed for myself and my 9-year-old son. However, the friendly staff made up for this with a breakfast voucher. I would definitely recommend the hotel and book again. Regards, P. Thake

Perfectly placed right next to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof for our onward journey the next morning. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and check in wasn’t a problem. The lifts had seen better days and I was terrified it was going to conk out on us.  The room was small (not a problem) with a reasonably comfortable bed and a very small bathroom, turning round in the shower being a challenge. My biggest gripe was the number of teenagers running riot around the corridors, slamming doors and charging like a herd of elephants. Fortunately they must have tired themselves out by the time we went to bed at midnight. Overall a good stay.

Good value for money and very conveniently located. Plenty of street parking is usually available in the surrounding area. It's a short 15-minute walk to the East Side Gallery, where you can see the 'Fraternal Kiss' mural. The property has three buildings, so make sure to ask the front desk which one your room is in before you head up, to save yourself an unnecessary walk.

Very near to central train station (walkable), check in from 15:00 but you can store your luggage in the meantime, ask the key from reception and go tour the city. Guest can cook, have kitchen with utensils. Every room have 3 bunk beds , have personal toilet in room with shower and hair dryer. Overall it was excellent stay for budget traveller

The Good: Overall, it was a good stay. The entire property runs on a highly efficient self-service system, which made checking in and out quick, seamless, and hassle-free. If you like a smooth, automated process without long queues, you'll appreciate how they have things set up here. Areas for Improvement: The Rooms & Beds: The rooms are quite compact and on the smaller side. Additionally, the beds were a little uncomfortable, which made it a bit tough to get a perfectly restful night's sleep. Payment Policies: A major point of frustration was paying the local city tax. The hostel should really accept paper money (cash) for this fee. Forcing digital or card payments for a small, mandatory local tax isn't ideal for every traveler and lacks flexibility. Verdict: A decent, budget-friendly option in a lively location if you just need a functional place to crash and prefer a self-service vibe, but don't expect premium comfort.
