Hamburg Hotels with Gym

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center. It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.

Spacious and clean room. With water offer at reception. But the bed and pillow were too soft made my sleep not good, and the wall was thin as I could hear and feel the shake from neighbors. Location is convenient, and quiet zone from Central Station. But one point to note, though there is a metro entrance next to hotel, but the entrance without escalator or elevator, but stairs! It could be hard if you carried heavy luggage.

Top hotel with great service and a beautiful room. You can't get any closer to the airport! I especially liked the bathroom. If you have to leave very early, there's a breakfast box available. Super 👍

Overall the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Two points worth noting that guests should be aware of: 1. The curtain pocket (the part at the top that hides the curtain rail) is not deep enough, so plenty of light comes in around it. For people use to full blackout in bedrooms, this may be disturbing - especially when the sun rises in the morning. 2. As noted in some other reviews, the pillows are EXTREMELY low density. They are so low density, that there is close to zero support once lying on them and the weight of your head has compressed the filling (down I think). I fortunately brought my own pillow, however if I had not, this review score would be much lower as it would have made it difficult for me to sleep the pillows are so unusually soft/airy.

I had a wonderful stay at Barceló Hamburg. The location is perfect, within walking distance to many attractions and transport links. The room was modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were always friendly, professional, and attentive, which made me feel very welcome – I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg.

The location of this hotel is great, and the room was very clean. I slept exceptionally well! It also has a kitchen, and the front desk staff were very polite and enthusiastic. I would definitely choose this place again if I come back to Hamburg, especially since shopping is so convenient!

Great stay — second time and still amazing I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great. The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of. The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops. Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.

The hotel is centrally located with good public transport links. The ambiance is modern and the cleanliness is good. Unfortunately, the professionalism of the staff leaves a little to be desired; they don't seem to be trained hospitality professionals. At breakfast, used dishes weren't cleared away, and a dirty, crumpled cloth was left out in the open. At the front desk, there was a lack of attentive gestures, for instance, at check-out, no one asked if everything was satisfactory or wished us a pleasant journey home. The fact that an earlier check-in, for example at 1:30 PM instead of 3 PM, costs an additional €30 is quite off-putting. In the room, we disliked that the open shower was too short, making it impossible to shower normally without flooding the floor. Also, the toilet flush button was stuck, and there was limescale on the sink faucet. A positive highlight is the affordable overnight price, especially with children in the same room. If you are willing to overlook the aforementioned drawbacks, the hotel is recommendable.
