Scenic Hotels in Hamburg

"Nice hotel not far away from the Harbour attractions of Hamburg. The hotel staff was very kind and upon my request changed our room because of a bad odor from the restroom. The breakfast is pretty good with lots of choices. The hotel has an underground parking lot which is 30 euros for visitors and 20 euros for guests, still pretty expensive considering the hotel costs of about a hundred euros per night. But in general a good hotel experience. One bonus is the free drinks of the room bar, including two beers!"

"Hotel have a great location closed to the train station we have stayed at this hotel for some years ago. But this time our room was not as expected as it’s was on the 6th floor (last floor and ) and it has gable roof room which is very closed to the bed so we need to be extra careful to not hitting our heads against the wall while we go through. Otherwise everyone was more than good , breakfast was very delicious and helful staff they allow us to forlong our check out 2 hours with no fee. Absolutely will stay here again but in another floor :)"

"The dark-skinned male staff member, who seemed to be Indian, had a very poor attitude during check-in. He demanded city tax, and when I offered cash, he refused, insisting on card payment only. It was only €1.3, and the person behind me in line had to pay for me with their card. The Indian-looking staff member even gave me a disdainful look."

"What to say big .....es sounds more exciting to live there at the first moment than it is at the end. It is a typical hipster hotel, everything cool, everything loose, little practical, even less professional! The way from the bottom to the room is always a world trip, and you also feel like moving on a building site through the many unpleasant construction grids and red-white plastic lock belts. The rooms are modern, but not convenient and cool. In our suite we could not even open a window to air, on my bedside there was no desk for mobiles and Co. , bathroom for a suite small without deposit option, the overdimensionated TV blocks the view of the otherwise great view, etc. Summary: once you can do that, but must not be. There are better hotels in the surrounding area, more practical anyway, more cheap even for it."

"To the gentlemen reading this, you don't have much choice, but to any ladies out there—I strongly, strongly recommend booking a female-only room. I cannot stress this enough: please choose a female-only room. Overall, the hostel itself is fantastic. The facilities are decent, the location is unbeatable, and you really can't beat the price. The staff members were super friendly, and the place felt clean. Although this was my first hostel in Germany, I’ve stayed at many hostels around the world, and value-for-money wise, this place is top-notch. The only issue comes down to some of the other guests. When I checked into my first room, I was hit with a terrible odor as soon as I opened the door, and someone was snoring loudly. I asked to switch rooms right away, and the staff were kind enough to accommodate me. Unfortunately, even in the second room, there was another guest with severe body odor who snored heavily all day long. Because of this, I couldn't relax or get a good night's sleep. I really don't want it to sound offensive to someone..but my overall experience dropped significantly just because of this single reason. Maybe I was just unlucky, but those guests seemed to be long-term residents. So again, ladies, even if it costs a bit more, please do yourself a favor and book a female-only room."

"Checked in on Saturday, but the music from a nearby nightclub was loud all night and until after 7am the next morning. Sunday and Monday were quiet. The hotel provided earplugs instead. The hotel facilities were very old and not cleaned well, so there was a lot of dust. Parking reservations were required. The staff were friendly."

"Spacious and clean room. With water offer at reception. But the bed and pillow were too soft made my sleep not good, and the wall was thin as I could hear and feel the shake from neighbors. Location is convenient, and quiet zone from Central Station. But one point to note, though there is a metro entrance next to hotel, but the entrance without escalator or elevator, but stairs! It could be hard if you carried heavy luggage."

"🌟 _A fantastic stay from start to finish!_ The staff at Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were spotless, modern, and cozy—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Hamburg. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a great variety to suit every taste. The location is ideal, with easy access to public transport and major attractions. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg!"

"Overall the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Two points worth noting that guests should be aware of: 1. The curtain pocket (the part at the top that hides the curtain rail) is not deep enough, so plenty of light comes in around it. For people use to full blackout in bedrooms, this may be disturbing - especially when the sun rises in the morning. 2. As noted in some other reviews, the pillows are EXTREMELY low density. They are so low density, that there is close to zero support once lying on them and the weight of your head has compressed the filling (down I think). I fortunately brought my own pillow, however if I had not, this review score would be much lower as it would have made it difficult for me to sleep the pillows are so unusually soft/airy."
