Langkawi Hotels with Bars

A nice and chill place to stay without the buzzing and movement of city traffic and crowd. Clean and spacious, we ordered the breakfast to be sent to our room and it was promptly delivered. We love that the pool is just right in front of our room and the pool was clean and clear. The staffs are really friendly and approachable. I will definitely book again next time.

RWonderful Stay at Rebak Island Resort We had a wonderful stay at Rebak Island Resort & Marina Langkawi. The location is excellent, peaceful, and very suitable for families who are looking for privacy and relaxation. The resort services were excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The private beach is beautiful, clean, and offers a great level of privacy, which makes it especially suitable for families. We also really enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant. It was excellent, varied, and offered many good options to choose from. I would also like to share one recommendation that could make the resort even better: it would be great to have more security cameras covering all areas of the resort, including the swimming pool, beach, rooms area, and walkways. It would also be very helpful to have lifeguards or safety staff monitoring the beach and swimming pool areas. This would make the resort feel even safer for children and give parents more peace of mind while their young kids are playing or swimming. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort to families looking for a quiet, clean, and relaxing island getaway.

I absolutely loved the hotel's natural environment. We saw a family of dusky leaf monkeys near our room's balcony, as well as large black squirrels. Hummingbirds frequently visited the balcony garden, and we even spotted greater racket-tailed drongos flying by. On our way back to the room after breakfast, we saw a lizard busily eating in a tree hollow. By the pool, we observed a family of oriental pied hornbills. We were even lucky enough to spot a family of wreathed hornbills on our way to the Thai restaurant. The scenery near the Thai restaurant is beautiful, and we saw white-bellied sea eagles catching fish and brahminy kites soaring over the sea. We joined the hotel's night walk and, led by our guide, saw a mother colugo with her baby, some gliding from tree to tree. We also saw fruit bats, scorpions, dusky leaf monkeys, squirrels, Tokay geckos, oriental pied hornbills, and more. The guide gave us detailed explanations of their habits, which was fascinating. The next morning, we went birdwatching and encountered the same guide. He actually remembered that we really wanted to find a Draco lizard yesterday and asked if we had found one. With his help, we finally found this flying lizard! We are so grateful to him!

We booked three rooms and specifically requested no connecting rooms, but still ended up with one. Luckily, it wasn't too noisy, so it was acceptable. The rooms had various minor issues, like water seeping into the living room and a clogged sink. However, the front desk was always proactive in resolving these problems and had a great attitude. Our room faced the pool, which was quite noisy during the day, but became very quiet after 10 PM. The hotel is conveniently located about 300-400 meters from Cenang Beach, making it easy to go for a swim, which the kids loved. The best part of the entire hotel was the breakfast; it was the best we had on our Malaysia-Singapore trip. The variety was excellent, with many local delicacies, and we were very satisfied every day. Some friends in our group who didn't book breakfast even came to eat, and no one said anything... Just be aware that it gets very crowded after 9 AM, so it's best to go earlier. In Langkawi, Mercure Hotels are a solid choice and highly recommended.

Our family of three chose a two-bedroom suite, and it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this place to friends and family visiting Langkawi. The facilities are new, the location is excellent, and it's fully equipped with everything you could need, including a steam oven and all sorts of kitchen utensils, all brand new. The best part is that the staff cleans the dishes for you the next day! The front desk staff during check-in was exceptionally helpful and accommodating; they even allowed us to pay the deposit in USD instead of Malaysian Ringgit. The doormen were always quick to open doors for us when we entered and exited. At checkout, multiple staff members from the lobby came out to bid us farewell, making us feel like cherished friends – it made me incredibly eager to return and visit them again. The staff's high level of professionalism and quality service really impressed me; this hotel is incredibly well-managed, and I felt everyone's smiles and kindness. The location is truly fantastic; you can walk to the commercial street, bars, and restaurants. We just asked how to get to the beach, and a staff member immediately drove us there in a small bus. I was genuinely moved by their staff's dedication.

Had a wonderful stay at Wings by Croske. The welcome drinks were a lovely touch and made us feel welcomed.The staff were very friendly,helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable.Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The breakfast was okay with a decent selection.

We stayed at one of the suites and it was right next to the salt water pool, wonderful that we can hop into the pool everyday! There was also sunset view and stars every night you can enjoy. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular the security guard at the parking was very nice to remind us to switch off our car’s lights at night. The breakfast could have more options as we stayed for 5 days and eventually becoming a bit more repetitive on the menu. Location was great. A few great restaurant across the street (a little more high-end). Highly recommend to go with a rental car to get around the Langkawi Island.

⭐️ (Strongly Not Recommended) My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21–23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s professionalism and integrity. After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket. Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable. The hotel’s account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim. Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation. The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash. Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guest’s reputation. We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation. If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels. Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts.

The hotel doesn't look as good as the pictures but it's still very comfortable and relaxing. The pool is nice and big. The service from staff is excellent and they really do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is average but does the job. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes a short walk away but I just had the breakfast because there wasn't an option without. The private beach is a big plus but you should probably avoid swimming as there's a water stream beside the hotel leading to the sea and it smells really bad. Overall I'd definitely stay here again. The rooms are nice and spacious

Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service, but the professionalism of a few individual staff members really needs improvement. When we arrived at 12 PM on August 8th, the female front desk staff completely disregarded our booking information and room availability, directly refusing to check us in and insisting we wait until 3 PM. At 3 PM, she then claimed the room wasn't ready and made us wait another hour. It was the worst experience we had in all of Langkawi. However, a manager later came to help resolve the issue and even provided complimentary breakfast, and the other staff members were all quite good. Considering the hotel's price, everything else was excellent. There's a night market right outside, a park nearby, and it's very convenient to cross the road for food.
