Hotel Trend – Good value and comfortable stay
I stayed at Hotel Trend and overall had a pleasant experience. The room size was great for a solo traveler — comfortable, clean, and well laid out. The location offers good value for the price, and everything felt tidy and well maintained.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated the free amenities. There were plenty of toiletries and bath products available, plus thoughtful extras like hair clips, hair bands, and even pajamas in the lobby. Those small touches made the stay more convenient.
The only downside was the bathroom. It was very small — my knees touched the wall while sitting on the toilet, and the sink partially covered the shower area. I wish a bit more of the room space had been allocated to the bathroom.

That said, aside from the tight bathroom, everything else was good. Clean, friendly, and solid value for the location. I’d still recommend it for solo travelers.

The hotel is situated in the middle of Asakusa. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. Also two metro stations are within walking distance. The room we lived in was too small for the three of us, but very clean, with all necessary amenities. But it was on the third floor; narrow staircase and there were no elevator. So raising up and moving down our baggage were an unforgettable action.

If you’re looking for an affordable stay that puts you steps away from buzzing restaurants and nightlife, this small hotel is a perfect pick. It’s light on frills but heavy on convenience, offering a no-fuss base for explorers who want to spend more on experiences than accommodations.  
Tucked into a lively neighborhood, it’s surrounded by a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and convenience stores—all within a 1-2 minute walk, basically everything is right at your doorstep. The area feels vibrant but safe, with popular temples and public transit (a metro station just 5-10 minutes away) makes it easy to venture farther afield.  
The hotel is room was small and compact but spotless, with a comfortable bed, AC ,curtains, and a sleek ensuite bathroom (hot shower + good water pressure!).The basics like a TV, free Wi-Fi, and a small desk were provided. The lack of clutter and modern minimalist design made the space feel fresh, not cramped. The bed is just good enough for two regular adults and a small kids.
While amenities are limited, they cover the essentials: 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and free amenities refills at the front desk.
The staff were friendly and efficient. They offered quick check-in/out, and delivered fresh towels to our door in the morning.

I traveled to Tokyo alone this time and stayed at the Tawaraya Pop Hotel in Asakusa. Overall, the experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient; I could walk to Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon, and there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The subway station is right next door. Although the single room wasn't large, it was very cozy, clean, and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom space was just right, the water pressure for showering was stable, and all the amenities were well-stocked. The front desk staff were very friendly, communication was easy, and their service was attentive. They even allowed me to store my luggage, which was very thoughtful. For a solo traveler, this hotel offers great value for money, and it's safe and quiet. Next time I visit Asakusa, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended for solo travelers! 🌸🏙️✨

Facilities: The room is not big, but it is fully equipped with basic accommodation facilities.
Hygiene: The room was clean.
Environment: The surrounding environment is quiet, about a 10-minute walk from Tennoji Station, and there is a Don Quijote 2 minutes away, so shopping is convenient.
Service: The service staff is friendly.

Amenities: Complete, including a coffee machine and microwaves on each floor.
Cleanliness: Clean, prompt room cleaning, daily towel changes, clean and odor-free restroom.
Environment: Comfortable, soft bed, comfortable pillows, clean walls.
Service: Excellent, friendly staff, and pleasant conversation.

It was close to the station and there was a convenience store next door.

It was a non-smoking room, but I was a little worried about the smell of cigarettes...

It's just a little dirty. Well, I have to be convinced at the price.

We loved it here. It was our second short stay and this time we had a twin room. The room was very spacious, which we appreciate as many rooms in Japan are fairly small. The little onsen is perfect for getting a deep cleanse after travels. The staff is absolutely amazing and the highlight of this hotel

The room was very nice - sufficiently large and with all necessary amenities (even a small fridge). The room was clean and in good condition. The staff was very kind and stored my luggage for free, as I arrived early in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located, yet in a rather quiet place. It's a walking distance from both Nagano station and Zenkoji temple (approximately 20-25 minutes), however, do note that the nearest bus stop is about 900 meters away, so if you got a lot of luggage and do not intend to get a taxi, that may be a bit far. They also have coin operated washing machines and dryers, in case you need them. Overall, a great option for most travelers, especially in terms of value for money.
