My Japanese friend came to Taiwan, and I booked them a stay at the Hub Hotel nearby. They absolutely loved it! Not only was it clean and hygienic, but there's also a free lounge on the first floor. The most pleasant surprise was the complimentary cookies, ice cream, and coffee, which is a must-have in the morning! Everything was free to use, and since many of my ********* friends visit, it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and catch up. It was truly a wonderful stay.

The soundproofing isn't great. Someone on the same floor was making incredibly loud, train-horn-like noises. I was tempted to play some music outside their door in retaliation, but my husband talked me out of it (what a shame!). If you're traveling with kids, just keep this in mind, though hopefully you won't encounter it! 😉

There are parking spaces right outside, which is quite convenient. If those are full, there are also parking lots nearby. Dining options are also handy; McDonald's and drink shops are just a five-minute walk away, and there's a breakfast place very close by too. I'd definitely consider staying here again. 🙂

Easy check-in, very clean, room size is also very good, free bottled water is provided, hot water in the bathroom is very hot, the overall feeling is great, I will stay again next time I come to Taiwan

There's no dry/wet area, so the shower ended up with water all over the floor.
The bed was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on.
There were a lot of snacks in the back of the lobby, which was nice.
There was only one room card, which was inconvenient.
The doorbell didn't work.

The location is convenient!!! We rode a motorcycle, but there were no motorcycle stalls nearby, so we had to rely on luck to find a spot. It's convenient for the market in the morning and the night market in the evening. If you want to explore Taipei, it's also very convenient to ride a bike. The room also has a bathtub. Great!

My room wasn't facing the elevated highway, and the soundproofing was decent; I had a view of some greenery. It was great for solo travel; they gave me a king-size bed, so I could sleep on one half and put my belongings on the other. The common area upstairs was also very spacious.

Perhaps the only issue was that the bathroom was tiny and low-ceilinged. As a 165cm tall woman, standing in the bathtub to shower, my head was already very close to the ceiling. 

The location is super convenient, and there are actually a lot of food options nearby. I'd definitely book this place again if I'm traveling alone.

It's a 8-10 mins walk from the train station.

The room is spacious which is out of my expectation. There's a bathtub. The room is clean. The aircon is not too cold as I prefer to have a very cool room. Front desk staffs are really friendly. Biscuits and drinks provided on the 1st floor are free. Did not try that but front desk staffs mentioned it is opened 24 hours. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided. Check out time is 11am, NTD200/hour if you want a late checkout. I guess this is how the hotel policies in Taiwan work. So far hotels in Malaysia and Hong Kong allows a free 1 hour late checkout if you request.

Overall, I had a good stay at Ximending Hub Hotel. I arrived at Taipei airport around 1 a.m. and was able to check in late without any issues, which I really appreciated. The price is reasonable for the location, and the staff were generally friendly. The room was decent and comfortable for a short stay. There’s no breakfast included, but that’s honestly not a problem since the hotel is right in the Ximending area with plenty of food options nearby. One thing to note is that they are very strict about the 11 a.m. checkout time. Late checkout is charged by the hour, and while I was eventually allowed to check out at 12 p.m., it was only after some negotiation. Just be aware of this if you’re planning a later departure. On the plus side, they allow you to store luggage for the entire day, which was extremely convenient. They also provide complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks near the reception area. One small thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to walk up one flight of stairs before accessing the elevator, so traveling with very heavy luggage might be a bit inconvenient. Overall, the location is excellent, and I would stay here again.

The environment was clean and simple; I would choose to stay here again next time. Although the soundproofing was a bit poor—you could hear your neighbors talking very clearly at night—it didn't affect the overall stay experience!

First time booking a stay here. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the environment was comfortable, clean, and well-designed. It's perfect for business trips or leisure. I'll definitely stay here again in the future.

Clean, spacious, nice hotel. Bfast is good. We also love the small bites snacks and icecream nook. Coffee is good as well. It's near to some bus stops (2-4min walk) but a litte further to nearest train station(mrt) which is ~10min walk.
When we go back to Kaoishung, we'll definitely consider staying here again.

The location is great — just a short walk to Sanhe Night Market and about 10+ minutes to Formosa Boulevard Station.
The staff are friendly and helpful; we requested an extra pillow, and they brought it right away.
Breakfast is simple but nice — nothing fancy, but it does the job.

The hotel is located about 800m from Shijiya Station, which makes it inconvenient to walk with roller luggage. Taking an Uber or taxi is recommended.
The room is spacious and luxurious, offering good value for the area. However, cleanliness could be improved, as I noticed some dust and hair.
Special thanks to the receptionist for the clear information and smooth check-in process.
