After looking at many hotels, I finally settled on this one. Choosing a hotel for a trip is often a headache, and personally, I prioritize soundproofing. However, for this trip to Beijing, I focused more on transportation convenience, so I booked this place from the start. I did anticipate that the soundproofing and cleanliness might not be great.

Upon checking in, the front desk kindly upgraded me to a deluxe twin room for free. Surprisingly, the air conditioning and refrigerator in the room were very quiet, and the overall soundproofing was quite good. Coupled with the convenience of transportation – being able to walk to Tiananmen Square and having many restaurants nearby within walking distance, plus a subway station right downstairs – it's a recommended place for Beijing tourists who walk tens of thousands of steps a day.

There were a few drawbacks, though. For example, the toilet seemed quite old, with insufficient flushing power, which needs improvement. Also, the hotel doesn't have laundry facilities. The room's balcony gets plenty of sunlight, so I'd suggest adding a floor-standing drying rack.

This is my second time staying at Peace Hotel, first time was in 2017. This time we stayed at the newer West Wing. We initially had only planned to stay one night but decided to extend our stay and stayed 5 nights this visit. The hotel gave us a voucher for complimentary art workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did my nieces. Location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance to few subway stations and just one block away from downtown commercial shopping. Staff are friendly, great breakfast selection, rooms are, clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly,  they are constantly maintaining the cleanliness and tidyness of the space. We did not get a chance to use the pool, as the day goes by it gets pretty busy with kids, swimming cap is mandatory and can be purchased from the gym trainers. The laundry room was convenient (3 washer, 3 dryer), detergent supplied, but the dryer takes a long time to fully dry so we ended up airing our clothes in our suite. If I return to Beijing again in the future, I will definitely book this hotel again.

My overall experience at the Beijing International Hotel was great. It's an old-school five-star hotel with an excellent location right next to Chang'an Avenue. High-floor rooms offer city views of Chang'an Avenue, and it's very close to the National Museum and Wangfujing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is attentive, and the breakfast selection is rich. The only downside is its proximity to the main Chang'an thoroughfare, which means traffic restrictions during major events. Getting a taxi in and out can sometimes be inconvenient, with detours at certain times and limited drop-off points, so you need to allow extra time when calling a car. Overall, for travelers visiting Beijing, the location is a major plus. Just be sure to check for traffic restriction information in advance for an even better stay.

Cleanliness: As a five-star hotel, cleanliness is the baseline for trust.
Comfort: Good. The blackout curtains are very effective, and it's quiet, even though it's located right by Chang'an Avenue.
Bedding: The mattress is a bit firm, similar to the firm side of a dual-firmness mattress.
Transportation: Convenient. Subway, walking, and taxis are all easily accessible.
Service: I had the stereotype that service industries in northern cities lack smiling service, but this place surprised me with their pleasant service.
Cons: Being an older hotel, the toilet tends to get clogged easily. Although it was quickly resolved each time, throughout my stay, I kept forgetting not to throw paper in it, which was a minor inconvenience. It would be great if this issue could be fixed.

The glass atrium is fantastic during the day (though the lighting design at night needs improvement)! 33 years have only added rings to the trees and vines. As a junior in university (1993), I came to Beijing for an internship to learn about hotel architecture, visiting nearly 20 high-end, foreign-friendly hotels that represented China's opening to the world... This Beijing Jianguo Hotel left a deep impression. According to architectural history, it was built by an overseas Chinese American, designed like a motel. Perhaps that's why it stands out uniquely on Chang'an Avenue. Wishing them continued success!

Our stay at Jianguo Hotel really exceeded expectations! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were touched by the thoughtful atmosphere – the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and check-in was super efficient. They even offered us a complimentary room upgrade, which was a wonderful touch ✨.

The most convenient part was the hotel's shuttle service to attractions. We didn't have to worry about transportation at all, with dedicated vehicles taking us to and from places. It was hassle-free and safe, making it especially suitable for traveling with family 🚌.

I stayed at this hotel for three days last week for a business trip to Inner Mongolia. I'm back today and plan to stay for another week, as I prefer familiar places and don't like switching hotels. I booked a king room, but since there was no showerhead (I have a wound and can't use a shower), I asked the front desk to switch rooms. Instead of an upgrade, they downgraded me to a twin room. I even told them that I saw plenty of rooms available online, so why couldn't they upgrade me? I will never choose this hotel again. As for the dining, I thought it was good, and the restaurant staff were nice. However, the room's cleanliness wasn't great; the bath towel and floor mat were placed together, and the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The swimming pool was pretty good, though.

There's a lot of room for improvement in the service. They promised fruit on the 21st floor, but the fridge was broken and completely empty (see picture). As for the restaurant: chopsticks and spoons were placed directly on the plastic placemats, which were wiped down by staff and reused, not replaced for each guest. When cleaning tables, the servers simply brushed food debris onto the carpeted floor.

The hotel has a very classic, somewhat retro vibe, still retaining the decor style of its past as a five-star establishment, so naturally, some of the facilities are a bit dated compared to modern standards. However, the overall environment is quite good. The lobby is grand, and the staff service is excellent. The concierge, front desk, and restaurant staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, making for a great experience. Breakfast is served in the revolving restaurant on the 26th floor, offering fantastic views and a good variety of dishes. It was a bit chaotic during my stay due to the crowds, but the food was replenished quickly. Given that hotel prices in Beijing skyrocket during the summer, Xiyuan Hotel's excellent location and reasonable rates make it a highly recommended choice overall.

A huge plus is the spacious room, which gave us plenty of freedom with the kids. The bunk beds were perfect for families with two children, haha!

The staff were all very courteous. Xiao Juan at the front desk was meticulous, attentive, and incredibly enthusiastic. The porter, seeing we had musical instruments, was extra careful when storing them, specifically putting them inside a room – big thumbs up!

The location is quiet yet central. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Zhonghai Daji Alley, and just a bit north is Zhonghua Bookstore and Ji Xiaolan's Former Residence. Further northeast leads towards Qianmen, and you can reach the Temple of Heaven in just four bus stops from right outside the hotel.

As some reviews mention, it is an older hotel, so the decor is a bit dated. The bathroom has a bathtub, and the floor is carpeted. However, considering our travel needs, it met most of our requirements. These issues are minor imperfections rather than actual problems.

The room was average, the service was average, nothing but smiling service. Such a big hotel is located inside the stadium, obviously there will be many large-scale activities inside, traffic control makes it impossible for vehicles to drive to the hotel entrance, so it takes a long time to walk. I came a long way to watch the concert, if I don't mind walking, I would book a place farther away, I booked here just to walk less, this is a bad review. Secondly, I planned to use the shower head in the bathtub to wash the bathtub, as soon as I turned on the shower head, it started to splash all over me, the shower head in the shower room fell directly, and the water was also slow to drain, causing water to flow into the corridor. Finally, the outside of the window should be covered by something outside the stadium, you can't see anything outside, and no light can get in, it's really too bad, if you are not really too lazy to walk, don't book here.

Had a fantastic stay! The location is great, about a 20-minute drive to both the East Station and the Museum, so it's quite central. Downstairs, there's BBQ, hot pot, and Cotti Coffee, making it super convenient for food delivery – they even have robots for that! It's very quiet and the area feels safe. Plus, you can park under a covered area to protect your car from rain.

A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who helped me get a really great room with a perfect view of the 'Corn Tower' (a local landmark). The bed was super comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and there were 4 complimentary bottles of water in the room.

The only minor flaw was that the shower head was broken and almost hit my foot.

They offer a free shuttle service to the station, which was excellent, but it's a shared ride. The other party was late, which almost made me miss my train. I'd suggest giving a heads-up if it's a shared shuttle next time. The driver was very professional, though; he rerouted us due to heavy traffic and got me to the station on time. Great service overall!

First off, the location is a bit tricky. While it's only a kilometer from the East Station, it's actually too close to easily catch a taxi. Walking 15 minutes with luggage in the summer was quite unpleasant, especially with the roads nearby being under construction, which made it even less convenient. It would be great if the hotel offered a pick-up service from the station. Secondly, the in-room drinking water was really subpar; it doesn't match the hotel's reputation at all. Thirdly, the front desk isn't on the ground floor, which is a bit inconvenient. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent, and the service staff, especially the ladies, had a wonderful attitude, which significantly improved my overall impression.

The hotel is located within the Yalong Bay National 5A Tourist Resort, within walking distance of Yalong Bay Beach. The hotel also offers free scheduled shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. Within 800 meters of the hotel, you'll find the Yalong Bay Yatai Night Market Street and the Baihua Valley Commercial Street, making it easy to browse the night market and commercial area after dinner. It's a peaceful escape that doesn't lack convenience, truly an oasis of calm in the bustling Yalong Bay.

Overall, my stay was very enjoyable. The hotel's excellent location, beautiful natural environment, spacious and comfortable villa, and attentive service all left a deep impression on me. The hotel offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone vacationing in Sanya. I'll definitely choose Shixi Villa Jianguo Resort Hotel first on my next trip to Sanya!

Xiao Zhang at the front desk was very helpful 👍. The hotel boasts excellent fitness and leisure facilities to keep you healthy and well-adjusted. There's a beautiful swimming pool, a children's playground, and a lobby bar perfect for working or enjoying tea 🍵. The facilities are comprehensive, quiet, and clean. Ideal for road trips; the front desk offered upgrades, sea-view rooms, and complimentary gifts. Many attractions are nearby. The popular night market and Tianya Town are also lively.
