Receptionist is kind, they offer 2 more free set of breakfast to us (12 persons) though we just have only 10 set in actual, also, when we check out and before depart to airport at 5am, they still go to family mart to buy some bread and milk to us

The hotel room was very clean. While not brand new, the bathroom facilities were excellent, and the bathtub was spotless. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The most convenient aspect of the hotel is its location, right above the MRT station, making travel incredibly easy. There's also a 7-Eleven downstairs.

Great location , easy walking distance to many restaurants nearby.  Also, bus stop is literally half a block away, and there are buses to and from Taoyuan Airport which we took.   The bus fee is super cheap at TWD 105 per person and no extra fee for check-in luggage. Also. it's 1.5 blocks away from the Yellow MRT line.  The hotel provides breakfast include pretty basic food but coffee is good (machine brewed).   Room is spacious and clean.  If they have a simple gym for some weight training machines/dumbbell, I would give 5 stars for the facilities.  

Some minor suggestions:
Many newer hotels like Atour or JI Hotel, they just have wooden floor instead of carpet, and I think it makes more sense for hotels (unless you are luxury 5 stars).  I rather have clean wooden floor and average carpet floor.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The staff was courteous and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The location is convenient, close to major attractions and public transport. Breakfast was varied and fresh, though the dining area could get crowded during peak hours. Overall, a great choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel is located on the famous ”Linsen North Road”, a bit of a walk from the MRT, but it's fine if it's not raining. The room is much better than the one at Hotel Royal Taipei across the street, though Hotel Royal offers optional breakfast. Since it faces the street, the soundproofing isn't great. I asked the front desk to change rooms, but there were no other options available. The platform also didn't specify that only street-facing rooms were available.

We were given a room with the bathroom window having the opposite building. The blind, when rolled down, has a 10cm gap from the wall, meaning your decency is not fully protected. When we inform the night manager, first thing she said was if you want to change room, it's considered an upgrade and we have to pay extra. After much argument, we were allowed to change to another room. Buyers beware

I had a wonderful stay at KO Hotel Dunnan during my recent trip to Taipei. The location is super convenient and surrounded by tons of food, shopping, and entertainment options. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel itself was quiet, clean, and very comfortable.
The room was compact but well-designed, with everything I needed: a good bed, clean bathroom, and even some thoughtful touches like complimentary water and toiletries. The staff were polite and efficient during both check-in and check-out.
What stood out most was the lobby area — it's super stylish, like an Instagram-worthy spot with quirky art and decorations. Also, the price was really reasonable for the location and quality.

Compared to other branches of the same group, this one is relatively old. The air conditioning system is also quite loud, and the door key is the traditional kind.

However, the service was excellent. They knew I was still in my room at noon and proactively asked if I needed towels, water, or room cleaning.

Although old, the bathroom is nice and has a bathtub.

The location is very convenient; it's just a short walk to the main road. There are restaurants all around, and it's close to the MRT station. There's a convenience store right next to the hotel entrance.

Great people & staff they are all accommodating, room is clean, AC is cold, bathroom has hot&cold water it has an elevator, location is quite far from the tourist attractions but it all worth it coz there's no traffic. The only problem is their internet, we got no internet for the first 2 days and it has poor connection when entering the room, may be they can improve it.

Good price for solo traveller, place is ideal. With friendly check in guide, just at the night the bar downstairs might affect light sleepers. The aircond is awesome just not suitable for people who can’t stand strong air conditioning. The pods is clean and plus  point is got washing machine and dryer to use.

The location is very convenient, the green line of the metro is going through all the major sights, so no need to change lines. The room itself is just fine, there is enough space for one person. Hot water in the shower, air conditioning is working, stuff was nice and helpful!

Cleanliness: it is okay thou i found small cockroach inside the room. It was abit old building. 
Location: for me its near to everything. Restaurants are all around, bus stop to everywhere is only 2 mins walk.
Service: the receptionists doesn’t really speak to you unless youll approach them hence they are approachable. They even let us iron our clothes in their laundry area. 
Amenities: they offer toothbrush and liquid soap for the guest.

I had a fantastic experience during my stay at their hostel. The facilities were consistently clean, and I appreciated the availability of hot water, which made for refreshing showers after a long day of exploring. The location is a major plus—situated in Little India, it's conveniently close to a supermarket right near the main gate, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials.

One of the highlights of the area is the affordable and diverse food options, allowing you to indulge in delicious local cuisine without breaking the bank. While I didn’t have the chance to meet the receptionist in person, their responsiveness via email was impressive. They maintained excellent communication and followed up consistently until my check-out, which made me feel valued as a guest.

Safety is clearly a priority here, with cameras installed throughout the premises, so you can relax without any worries. Additionally, the hostel provides secure lockers for storing your belongings, ensuring everything stays safe while you're out and about. I must mention the quality of the beds, honestly, they felt like something you’d find in a five-star hotel, offering unmatched comfort after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hostel is located at 569 Serangoon Road, Singapore, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Ningxia Night Market is a great choice for independent travelers visiting Taipei. Although the hotel is a bit older, its location in a bustling area offers convenient access to transportation and dining options.
