Best hotel around the area. The bed and blanket are sooooooooooo comfyyyyyyyy. The room is nice and clean. Really really recommended!! You won't regret staying here.

Family room size is huge and suit for 4 persons. It would be better if two toilets available in the room and only one handwashing basin is inconvenient for a family to use. Please consider put a small size table in the room as no space to put personal belongings for family use, thank you

Hotel is very conveniently located. The metro station stop, Xingtian Temple exit 2, is just next to the hotel. From here to a few popular tourists' spots like Ximenting, Taipei 101, took not more than 30 min. There are many eateries around & a few 7-11 too. As the hotel is situated in business district area, it is not crowded & pretty quiet at night unlike area like Ximenting. Will definitely book this hotel again if I come back to Taipei.

The location is excellent, with many shops nearby, right next to Breeze Center. There's a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven downstairs. It's also just a 10-minute walk to Taipei's East District.
The room is spacious enough, and the bed is comfortable. The window is small and doesn't let in much natural light, but the room lighting is very sufficient and bright. The room was renovated in 2023, so it feels very new.
The bathroom has a wet/dry separation for the shower, but the shower enclosure is glass, so you have to pull the curtain if you want privacy. This means two friends can't use the toilet and shower at the same time, unless you're very close or a couple! 😂

Clean room and nice place. Always refilling complementary things (Tea,Coffee pack, and Water)

I highly recommend choosing this place for your stay in Taipei!

While they don't serve breakfast, I actually found that it makes the room rate much more reasonable. Besides, when you're traveling, the whole point is to go out and enjoy the local food anyway! 🥰 To make up for it, the hotel provides free snacks, coffee, and tea in the lobby area on the ground floor.

The rooms are clean and dry, and the staff handles check-in and check-out very efficiently. I specifically chose this hotel because my room had a small window, which was very convenient for checking the weather before heading out for the day.

Regarding the location: it’s a bit of a walk from Taipei Main Station—it took me about 15 minutes on foot. However, the surrounding area is great, with plenty of convenience stores and COSMED nearby. Plus, it’s not far at all to get to Ximending from the station.

After numerous changes to our Chinese New Year travel plans, we finally settled on Kodak Hotel 1. The reception staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. When they heard we had a laptop and might not be able to leave it out, they immediately offered to store it for us behind the counter. At breakfast, the restaurant staff noticed me looking for something and proactively asked what I needed, then promptly brought fresh milk to our table. A delightful surprise was the welcome candy on the table in our room, accompanied by a handwritten greeting card and an adorable Asakusa golden turtle – I absolutely loved it! 💕

The only minor drawbacks were... the single bed in the triple room was quite small, more like a sofa bed, and not very comfortable to sleep on. Also, when showering, the hot water was inconsistent, fluctuating between scalding hot and cold, and the water pressure was unstable. However, they did provide bath salts, allowing for a warm and relaxing bath.

During the holiday season, while most people are on vacation, there's a dedicated group working tirelessly. As someone also in the service industry, it was tough to see your hotel staff apologizing to guests, and I truly appreciate the efforts of all the Kodak Hotel staff!

Overall, I had a really positive experience staying at K Hotel Tianjin. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street, yet still conveniently close to MRT stations. The staff were friendly and helpful, and housekeeping was excellent throughout my stay. There’s also a self-service laundry available, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast options were a bit limited, but still sufficient for a quick bite to start the day. 10/10 would recommend staying with K Hotel Tianjin.

Great people & staff they are all accommodating, room is clean, AC is cold, bathroom has hot&cold water it has an elevator, location is quite far from the tourist attractions but it all worth it coz there's no traffic. The only problem is their internet, we got no internet for the first 2 days and it has poor connection when entering the room, may be they can improve it.

We easily find the hotel because it's very close to bus stop station. When we entered the lobby, there was nobody in the reception area, the sofa was filled with cat feathers and we cannot sit because it's not so clean. After waiting, a receptionist entertained us and set everything our booking.  The room is compact with toilet, is clean and smells good. There was no cabinet available, so we placed our things on the table. The elevator is functional. One thing to comment, during evenings plenty of truck ban parking in front of the hotel.

The place, I think it’s perfect for solo travellers, backpackers, and maybe even couples that don’t mind the space itself - I’m pretty sure they have pods for more than two people, but I believe Place is more suited for single people. The place is cool to be honest and looks futuristic like out of a Tron movie 😆

Jokes aside, the amenities were alright - Just a heads up to those who used to the conventional USB-C type wires as the pod only has USB-A ports charging mounts - toilets extremely clean just don’t forget to bring your own shampoo and body soap, there were washing machines and as I was switching my head, thinking where the charge my devices, turned out that on top of the washing machine and like extension for  three-pin plugs so that saved my headache, it was unusual Place) charge your devices, but it worked so it’s fine 😂 
 
Keep in mind that it may be rather noisy during the weekends as there were bars downstairs, that’s truly lively at night and the around of vicinity had lots of restaurants, bars and convenience store within walking distance. Speaking of noises, just be mindful that to be slow in what you do in the pod because it could get noisy especially during the night. And be careful with the blinds as I didn’t know, when I pull it i immediately let it go so bounced off right to the top with a loud bang. I hope I didn’t scared anyone 😂 

Other than that, I think it’s a cool affordable place for all the solo travellers alike!

I had a fantastic experience during my stay at their hostel. The facilities were consistently clean, and I appreciated the availability of hot water, which made for refreshing showers after a long day of exploring. The location is a major plus—situated in Little India, it's conveniently close to a supermarket right near the main gate, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials.

One of the highlights of the area is the affordable and diverse food options, allowing you to indulge in delicious local cuisine without breaking the bank. While I didn’t have the chance to meet the receptionist in person, their responsiveness via email was impressive. They maintained excellent communication and followed up consistently until my check-out, which made me feel valued as a guest.

Safety is clearly a priority here, with cameras installed throughout the premises, so you can relax without any worries. Additionally, the hostel provides secure lockers for storing your belongings, ensuring everything stays safe while you're out and about. I must mention the quality of the beds, honestly, they felt like something you’d find in a five-star hotel, offering unmatched comfort after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hostel is located at 569 Serangoon Road, Singapore, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to stay!

The check-in process was quick and hassle-free, which was great after a long day. But they require deposits.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities I needed for a short stay. The bed was cozy, and everything was well-maintained.

The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and transport.

Since it was just a short stay, I didn’t get to try all the facilities, but everything met my expectations. I would recommend this hotel for a quick and comfortable stay.

Every time I visit Taiwan to see my family, I stay at this hotel. The service is top-notch; all the staff are warm, friendly, and always ready to help when needed, which is really heartwarming. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are clean and tidy. I really like it and will definitely stay here again next time.
