My husband and I had a bad experience at the Titanic Hotel Istanbul reception on March 20 at around 10 pm. I booked this hotel through trip(dot)com for 5 nights for 2 adults and 1 child (5 years old), and the booking stated is free for child. However, the receptionist wanted us to pay an additional €30/night for my child (€150 total). We showed him our booking confirmation, but he showed a note saying ”2 adults only” and told us ”your agent is wrong, contact them.” We contacted our agent, but it took time. My husband asked him to let us in because our son was sleeping, but the solution was paying €150 (refundable if the agent corrected it). We had paid in full. He didn't help or contact their agent. If the hotel can't help with issues, they shouldn't partner with any agents. If he can't help, he shouldn't be in hospitality 🙏🏻. 
The rooms is very good, but the the receiption indeed didn't show any good service towards the customer.

The Trip.com was responsible for this cases and finally they give me refund for that excess amount that being charged by the hotel.

Service: I called in advance to confirm the room availability. I checked in at around 22:00 that night. The staff was very enthusiastic and gave each person a glass of apple juice.
Hygiene: The overall hotel hygiene is very good, and all the rooms are new.
Facilities: There are personal daily necessities in the room. I didn't go to the restaurant, swimming pool, or massage, so I don't know.
Environment: The hotel is located in the city, with a variety of travel routes. There are two shopping malls and a pedestrian street nearby. The room is close to the elevator, but there is no noise, and the sound insulation is also good. It is OK among hotels of the same price.
