This was my first time in Hong Kong, and I was lucky enough to stay at this hotel. The facilities were neat and clean, and the overall cleanliness exceeded my expectations for a hostel. Even by Southeast Asian standards, it would definitely be considered top-tier. I do have to mention one thing: after a long period of rain, it felt a bit damp, and I noticed some mite bites on my ankles and knees. Given the recent climate and weather, I understand it might be unavoidable, but I still hope the establishment can improve their handling and response to this issue. Having this place as my base made my entire trip to Hong Kong feel secure and worry-free. This trip allowed me to discover many parts of Hong Kong, finding a subtle sense of relaxation amidst its bustling order. I particularly loved the islands, and exploring the city for food. Walking through Central, I observed the fast-paced yet refined rhythm of busy individuals silently passing by. On the islands, while enjoying beer and fried chicken, I saw foreigners with flip-flops walking past – Hong Kong truly is an inclusive and diverse city. Finally, I hope they offer more special deals so more people can experience this wonderful place. This establishment played a very important role in enhancing my overall perception of Hong Kong.

Lastly, thanks to every staff member I encountered – from the front desk to security and the restaurant staff. I wish you all the best and welcome you to visit Wuhan sometime!

Apologies, this review is long overdue, but it's one I absolutely had to write. I was incredibly happy to stay here again in August during the summer of 2026 – a place I've visited countless times. Hong Kong after the rain is truly unforgettable, with its beautiful sunset, dinner under the stars, the cruise ships docked in the bay, and the lights dotting the hillside. All of this made the stay absolutely wonderful. Seeing guests cook their own meals added a lovely touch of homey warmth and happiness. It was a very pleasant stay, and I want to thank everyone who works here – the gentle front desk staff and the skilled drivers. A special thanks to the strong gentleman at the front desk who lent me his umbrella when it was raining, trusting me to return it at another store. It was a delightful experience. I will definitely bring my family or friends here at some point in the future to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful time. My sincerest thanks again to all the staff here. I also want to encourage all guests to kindly observe the rules and regulations so we can all work together to make this place even better. Even now, thinking back on it still makes me incredibly happy.

YHA Bradbury Jockey Club Tai Mei Tuk Youth Hostel is highly recommended for nature lovers! From the hostel, it's just a 3-minute walk to the Plover Cove Reservoir Dam. Nearby, you can rent bikes to explore, enjoy hiking, or head to Lung Mei Beach for some sun and sand.

Tung Chung - 2 nights - private double room

Expectation/Reality: this is the only provider of accommodation in the area so expectations need to be managed. They have the ability to essentially set terms, so the negative reviews here are likely from the folks who didn’t read the find print. The photos match the space very well. However the hostel reached out over what’s app a number of days before the booking asking for the $150 membership fee and $500 deposit, which I was not comfortable providing until arrival, however the hostel was okay with that.

Security: very good, there is a gate lock and a lock to the door, very safe.

Hygiene: overall very clean, no concerns.

Hospitality: the check in and out process is all over what’s app, so you are at the mercy of how responsive they are which can be frustration when trying to get in. Once you are in, it’s fine.

Social Atmosphere: good social spaces.

Overall: given they essentially have a monopoly on accommodation in the area. It’s a pretty good spot. I accidentally broke the key and they came and fixed it the next day, but took off $50 from the deposit. So handle the keys gently. Over pretty good place.

What a nice simple place to stay. Quiet, next to river area, great view. That night was cold and we got a heater to keep us warm. Big kitchen can cook your own food. The owner keep the place clean and tidy. Great place to stay before a big hike. They sell nice drink and noodles as well. We take half day off and arrive there around 7pm. Set off 8am for a 7 hours hike. Total took us 9 hours。

The room is hygienic, it is relatively small, the youth travel is like this, the boss is very good! The bathroom is separate, the bathroom is very hygienic! ! ! ! It's relatively clean!

I stayed here for 5 nights early last month. First of all, the location is really good. It's a twenty-minute walk from must-see attractions like the British Museum, and a thirty-minute walk to Euston train station (I consider anything under a half-hour walk 'walking distance'). It's also close to Great Portland St and Regents Park tube stations.

I was in an 8-bed female dorm. The restrooms are outside the room. They were cleanest right after being cleaned in the afternoon and dirtiest before check-out in the morning. There's a decent-sized pantry downstairs, and I saw quite a few people cooking. I also used it twice to boil water for instant noodles.

Free luggage storage after check-out was a great bonus.

It's a budget accommodation in one of the most expensive cities in the world, so not much should be expected.
The location is perfect, and the hostel is easy to find. Their reception is 24/7, and I've personally checked in quite late (after 8pm). However, this process took very long. I'm not sure why, but the booking made through Trip.com was almost impossible to be found by the receptionist, and I waited about 30-45 minutes for them to find me on their systems. I was then given a keycard to be able to access the building and the room.
The women's only room I was allocated was downstairs from the entrance... A semi-basement kind of room? There were some tall windows facing the street that cars' lights would come through every now and then, and you could hear pedestrians walking by too. By comparison, I didn't find the bells of St Paul that bothersome.
The facilities were old. The communal bathroom that I had to use (before I realised the room itself had its own bathroom) was disgusting. I wish the beds had some sort of curtain, and that the doors made less noise when opened/closed because everytime someone arrived in the middle of the night or got up in the morning it was loud enough to wake you.
In all fairness, for the price I can't fault this place too much.

Brilliantly situated YHA in London with affordable private rooms, cafe, bar, communal kitchen, lounge, clean rooms and comfy beds.

About a 30minute scenic walk to Tower Bridge, an excellent location for budget travellers.

This place was well cleaned and maintained good customer service at any time. I will highly recommend this place for any kind of trip. The main thing is there is a separate luggage room to keep our luggage there even before checkin and after checkout which makes most of the Travellers feel free which is highly maintained with security service. Even they have each and every amenities in their common kitchen which you can just buy things what you need after that you can cook and enjoy your meal.

Enjoyed my stay. The hostel is located close to the train/underground station, has amazing view outside the window. I stayed in a 4-bed room but only shared with one other female during my entire stay. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend this hostel, it’s a last-minute booking, but it turned out such a nice stay. The hostel is just by the lake, with misty view right outside of the window in the morning. Close to bus station, transportation convenient. What’s more, my roommates are amazing, three girls from London, one from the US.

The service staff is very kind, there is a rich and delicious breakfast to make an appointment, but unfortunately the location is a bit far for the hikers, and the Wi-Fi in the room is not smooth, I hope to improve, the others are very good, especially the room is clean and tidy, very comfortable!

A bit remote from the Hawkshead bus station(25 minutes walk), enjoyed the view on the way though. Limited sockets in the room. Great kitchen and dining room. Helpful and warm staff.
