First things first: you absolutely, positively, undeniably MUST bring 500 units of cash, whether it's RMB, USD, or HKD. Or, make sure you have a Visa or Mastercard. Otherwise, you'll be stuck staring blankly at the front desk staff late at night... 

Also, bring a universal travel adapter with UK plugs or a USB cable (make sure the end connecting to the adapter isn't Type-C!). If you're bringing a plug, don't expect to plug one adapter into another; the charging space isn't wide enough...

The room is very spacious, and while the facilities are simple, they are complete. The environment is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel is converted from an old public housing estate, so it has significant historical value; you can learn about the estate's history on the first floor. Of course, the location and accessibility are top-notch. The hotel restaurant's food is definitely worth trying. I believe their milk tea or sandwich is a signature item (don't be mad if I remembered incorrectly!), so don't miss out!

This is a well-established international youth hostel, and it shows; the facilities are quite old. However, the atmosphere is great. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and even chopsticks, and someone boiled hot water in the morning, which was a nice touch. If you need a power adapter, you can just borrow one from the front desk.

The hostel is converted from an old炮台 (artillery battery/fort) outpost on the mountain, so it's quite secluded except for guests. There's a free shuttle bus service, and you can find the schedule for going up and down the mountain on their official Xiaohongshu account. If you're in a hurry to leave, you can also take an Uber. I took one down the mountain to Kennedy Town MTR station around 8 AM, and it cost me 61 HKD, which I found acceptable.

They have outdoor barbecue facilities, making it a great place to stay with friends.

The place is good for  budget traveller, choosing this accommodation is perfect you tired of the city noise. Here you can relax and enjoy the beach.

Depends on your purpose for visiting this area, you may or may not find this hostel convenient. I chose this hostel solely because I planned to check out Tai O and do an early morning hike up Lantau Peak.




There’s actually not much in the area except the Giant Buddha, the beautiful monastery, and the Wisdom Path if you choose to include it. This is the only hotel/hostel in the area. There’s no supermarket or convenience store nearby, so I highly suggest bringing plenty of food and drinks before arriving. You might also want to bring your own slippers!




The hostel has a water purifier, hot and cold showers, a microwave, fridge, a spacious kitchen, and other essentials. I didn’t cook during my stay—I bought food from Tai O instead. Nonetheless, it was super convenient for me since I like to go slow and enjoy things at my own pace.




Note that a membership fee of 150 HKD is required, and there’s also a refundable deposit of 500 HKD, unless you damage something on the property.

The room is hygienic, it is relatively small, the youth travel is like this, the boss is very good! The bathroom is separate, the bathroom is very hygienic! ! ! ! It's relatively clean!

Arrived at the hotel exhausted, ready to check in, but the front desk made me wait. After 5 minutes, I had to prompt them before they finally processed my check-in. Once I got to the room, I realized the room type was different from what I booked online. I went downstairs to clarify, and they insisted it was correct with a very dismissive attitude, as if to say, 'We don't need your business, take it or leave it!'

We've booked a 4 bunk bed room. Adequate for oua short stay in London.The location is strategic, close to the tube, straight line to most of the attractions. System is in place, kitchen is well equipped, water pressure is strong, the heating system is good given the cold winter in London. Bunk bed is slightly smaller than single, but the sheets are clean and nice. This was in fact my second time staying here.

Located near St Pauls Cathedral, this YHA is somehow located perfectly with walkable distance (30mins near River Thames) to London Eye or London Bridge. Staff are nice and you can get tap filtered drinking water in kitchen. Toilet and bathroom are separate. Nearby you can find supermarket, QSRs and TSRs. However if you are a person that needs silent, then please be alert that every 15mins the cathedral will have an alarm “DONG”. This is fine with me but may not be ok for others.

Brilliantly situated YHA in London with affordable private rooms, cafe, bar, communal kitchen, lounge, clean rooms and comfy beds. 

About a 30minute scenic walk to Tower Bridge, an excellent location for budget travellers.

The hostel was great and worth the stay for different reasons:
1. Amazing location with big lake, near public transportation
2. Friendly and helpful staff, you can borrow hair dryer at the reception. You can keep your bag in locker room also, bring £1 coin or ask lovely staff for tap to pay.
3. Huge shared kitchen with lots of cooking essentials which can be used to cook nearly everything you can.
4. Clean and well maintained room.
Can’t ask for more with this price.

The service staff is very kind, there is a rich and delicious breakfast to make an appointment, but unfortunately the location is a bit far for the hikers, and the Wi-Fi in the room is not smooth, I hope to improve, the others are very good, especially the room is clean and tidy, very comfortable!

A bit remote from the Hawkshead bus station(25 minutes walk), enjoyed the view on the way though. Limited sockets in the room. Great kitchen and dining room. Helpful and warm staff.
