"Each and every thing is perfect about this hotel must visit. If you get room with ocean view its best if not than go to top floor they have infinity pool unforgettable experience you will feel like you are leaning in the ocean. No more words to describe. The stay was absolutely fabulous! The room, the sea view and the view bath was top notch! First stay at granbell and what an experience it was! The sunset with the infinity pool was another world! Also, not to forget the warm welcome we received from the Front Desk Staff, they gave us the Perfect first impression of the Hotel and the final send off was so friendly as well."

"Overall pleasant stay at Cinnamon that I'd totally recommend to anyone and stay again myself. A comfortable bed, nicely sized room, beautiful property, convenient location, such friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast are just some basic memorable facts about our stay for 3 nights. The bakery downstairs, Plates restaurant, and the mall next door just add on to the comfort of the stay at Cinnamon Grand. To top it all off, we upgraded our stay to the executive floor, and accessed the lounge to enjoy a variety of mouth-watering snacks (that changed everyday) and took 2 free laundry/day offering. It couldn't get any better!"

"Room: The room is fully equipped and spacious, with an open view. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Plus, there's room service available, so you can still get food even if you arrive late. Facilities: There's a stunning 'heavenly' pool, and a chain coffee shop conveniently located next to the hotel. Service: The front desk staff are friendly and polite."

"I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. It really depends on the room you get. I was initially put in a room that, as I later found out, desperately needed renovations. The air conditioning started leaking during the night, with water dripping right onto the bed. Everything in the room looked old, and the AC unit itself was ancient. The next morning, I was moved to a completely different room. The air conditioning and TV were all new, and the room was much cleaner and more modern overall. Why couldn't they have just put me in a room like that to begin with? They just had to give me a worse one first. I demanded compensation in the form of breakfast for the inconvenience, and they very reluctantly provided it in the end. It seems like the staff tries, but it all feels a bit disingenuous."

"I really made the right choice; it was incredibly clean and comfortable, totally worth the four-star price and quality. The breakfast was very generous. Most importantly, everything felt new and cozy, unlike the dampness you get in older hotels. This place was clean and dry, which is quite rare. The lunch buffet was 3800 per person including tax, and I felt it was excellent value for money with a great variety of food. For 700, it included breakfast, and they even let us check in two hours early and extended our check-out to 1 PM. I absolutely loved it!"

"I needed to blow dry my hair after washing it in the morning, but the hairdryer plug didn't fit the outlet. I reported it to the front desk, and they said they'd send an engineer. After a long wait, no one showed up. I happened to hear a cleaning staff member in the hallway, and they took a look and said they'd get an adapter. It's truly speechless; it's the first time I've encountered a hotel where I needed to use an adapter for their own hairdryer. Once the adapter arrived, the hairdryer still didn't work, so they had to replace it. Three hours later, the engineer finally showed up to 'assist'! The pool also requires crossing a road to get to, and the shower room cleanliness was just so-so. This really doesn't live up to the five-star brand and high price point."

"The rooms are clean and well presented, the garden is beautiful and there is tea & coffee available 24hr. Breakfast is a buffet style with freshly made eggs of your choice, sausages toast and a choice of fruits. My only complaint was the noise. The hotel was fully booked and this meant that it was quite noisy late at night and very early in the morning, especially being in a room near the kitchen. The sound echoed terribly. The manager was very kind and professional, helping me change to a quieter room, when one became available."

"Although I checked in late and missed the sunset, the location was fantastic. I stayed in a Signature Plus Seaview Twin Room this time. The amenities were plentiful, and the shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also delicious. However, I recommend dining indoors for breakfast. On the terrace, birds (crows) were eyeing the food. While the staff were constantly vigilant, some guests still had their food snatched when the staff weren't looking. The adjoining shopping center isn't particularly large, but it's perfect for a post-meal stroll or to kill a bit of time. The main reason I chose this hotel was definitely the infinity pool! Since it was the rainy season, I took advantage of breaks in the weather to use it, and it was truly amazing. I wish I could have stayed for two or more nights to enjoy it more leisurely. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and I would love to stay at this hotel again."

"I chose the newly opened Amari Hotel (Amari Colombo) for my first two nights in Colombo, drawn by its reputation for sea views. The sea view from the room and the rooftop infinity pool were huge plusses, and the service was good, but there were quite a few flaws. I stayed in a Deluxe Sea View King Room on the 16th floor. The room's large floor-to-ceiling windows directly faced the sea, offering a great view and easy sunset watching. Unfortunately, the popular Grabbell Hotel partially obstructed the view to the left, making the angle for admiring the sea from bed not ideal. The room itself was very new, but the design had numerous illogical aspects: ① The 'king' bed was actually two single beds pushed together, with a gap in the middle, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. ② The bathroom wasn't a 'three-fixture separation' (toilet, shower, sink in separate areas), and opening the bathroom door completely blocked the toilet, leading to poor circulation and accessibility. ③ After the main light switch was turned off for a period, the power outlets also shut off, preventing phone charging. If the main switch wasn't turned off, some lights couldn't be switched off individually. ④ The curtains required pulling cords on both sides to operate, and there was no corresponding instruction in the room. I only discovered this after struggling to pull the curtains for a long time. I was quite surprised to find such design flaws in a hotel that had been open for two years. The hotel service attitude was generally good. Checking in at 1:30 AM, the concierge was still on duty, helping with luggage from the car and later delivering it to the room. The front desk staff were also very friendly, and I didn't experience any discrimination. The rooftop infinity pool on the 26th floor also directly faces the sea. The pool isn't large or deep, but it's sufficient for leisure. There's also a bar by the pool, offering panoramic views of most of Colombo, with particularly stunning scenery at dusk. Breakfast, located on the 5th floor, featured strong local characteristics, with an array of various curries spread across the buffet. Opinions were sharply divided; my wife loved it, while I couldn't get used to it at all. Overall, to fully enjoy this hotel, you need to book a sea-view room and comfortably watch the sunset from your room or the rooftop pool. Otherwise, it's just a slightly flawed, but generally acceptable, four-star hotel."

"The breakfast was great, and the service was excellent. The views are fantastic, and the pool is massive! The sea view is stunning, and it's definitely an Instagrammable spot. There's even a museum and a lot of very old buildings. It's really excellent, I highly recommend staying here."
