Reception was a bit cold. Emailed them we’re celebrating our wedding anniversary and requested a surprise room set up for my husband yet the manager does not read email on time as they knocked on the door at 6pm to offer the “surprise”. Bathroom toiletries are ill equipped— for the price of the room I don’t want to be asking room services for lotion or earbuds! Booked a celebratory dinner at Dip, their open wines are past their acceptable rate, we requested to open a fresh bottle. Surprised to see them return the “expired ones” back on shelf after using an “oxy vacuum machine”. Sad. Our server is very good and polite, a snappy young man (sorry forgot his name). Thank you dong, you’re really attentive. Food: Beef cheek was good, but not the Wagyu beef, it has a lot of inedible parts— disappointing for the price. The side dishes were good. Breakfast is an okay spread.

I had a hot, uncomfortable disappointed, and we were in utter shocked that the room I booked was not in their system. As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy.
My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi.
To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark.
The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering.
Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out.
My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner.
My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A.
I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

I stayed a week and a half with my friend in Costabella. The staff was very friendly and helpful which made our stay excellent from the second we arrived at the hotel. Rooms were cleaned daily and water got refilled.
The hotel has its own beach and swimming pools, an excellent dining hall and a restaurant with various delicious meals and drinks. Also there are water activities at the facility which requier extra payment which is also accessible, the kayak is free for use for 30min which is nice.
This was our first visit to the Philippines and the hotel choice didn't disappoint. It felt like a paradise.
I'm very thankful to the staff and the hard work they do, will miss our time in Lapu Lapu 🌸

Nazipova AigulEverything was great. I really enjoyed my stay, and check-in was quick. The concierge helped me take my suitcase to the room. The room has air conditioning and a hairdryer. The bed linen is pristine white, and the mattress is incredibly soft. There are panoramic windows. The room also has a minibar with a price list. Breakfast is a buffet with a large selection of food, including fruits, sweets, soups, and porridges. I chose this hotel because of the airport transfer service. Upon check-in, the administrator asked if I needed a transfer and at what time. I was taken to the airport in a minivan. A deposit was taken upon check-in and returned upon check-out, even the exact same bill.

Anonymous UserLocation wise, this is pefect. You can just take any public transport and you are there when you get off. The staff are very well trained, very nice and very polite. Everything looked very clean and even if the hotel is not that big, they had a badminton/volleball courts. There is enough beach front to walk around. For a Lapu-lapu beach, their beach is clean enough as well. They had plenty of covered lounge couches to enjoy beach front even under the sun. The pool is small but it feels clean.
We paid an extra ₱ 500 to get the ”upgrade” for the ocean view and it was our biggest mistake causing us to lose sleep. Apparently, the room assigned to us was part of an adjoining room and the sound insulation was terrible. We can hear everything happening in the other room and unfortunately the couple in the other room were going at it very loudly (the girl was shouting) until around 5 in the morning. We don't recommend the breakfast buffet as well especially if you are paying the extra ₱1,100 for another person. Very few choices, very salty meat dishes and we don't know exactly what caused it but we had a stomachache after breakfast.

へるしゃふと@旅行マニア✈️I've stayed here before and it became my favorite hotel, so I booked it again. The biggest draw of this hotel is undoubtedly the high-value resort experience it offers. This time, we booked the top-tier suite (triple room) for three people, and it was incredibly affordable at around 10,000 yen per person. The room was well-equipped, even having two toilets. Waking up in the morning and opening the window revealed a stunning view of the pool and blue sky, and breakfast allowed us to enjoy a resort-like meal while gazing at the beach and pool.
If I had to pick a point for improvement, the slippers were reusable instead of disposable. It would be even better if disposable ones were provided. Other than that, it's a five-star hotel with absolutely no complaints.

Anne34👍 What works well
•Location: It’s very conveniently located near Mactan‑Cebu International Airport (just a 5-10 minute drive) which makes it a good choice especially if you have a flight early or late.
Staff & service: Many guests report friendly, helpful staff and good service. For example: “Staff was friendly, accommodations were clean and secure.”
👎 What could be better
•Noise: A recurring complaint is that rooms facing the busy road are noisy, and the windows don’t always block out the sound sufficiently.
•Room size & condition: Some rooms are small (especially the “studio” type) and furniture or fixtures are described as dated. Example: “rooms and bathrooms are tiny.”
•Breakfast & food quality: While breakfast is included in many stays, some guests mention that the food quality is mediocre or basic.

zairahlouWe stayed at Vistamar Resort in Mactan from October 11–13, and overall, it was a wonderful and restful experience.
The facilities are a bit outdated, but everything worked fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable, linens fresh, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Wi-Fi connection was good, and we enjoyed having free access to Netflix in our room.
Food was okay, and we appreciated the 30% discount for in-house guests at the restaurant. Corkage is allowed without any fees, which was a plus. They even gave us complimentary use of the billiards table for my daughter’s birthday—something we truly appreciated.
The beach was clean and calm, perfect for swimming or relaxing. We hope the beach hours could be extended from 6 AM to 6 PM, so guests can enjoy early morning dips or sunset views. The pool area could use a bit more maintenance, but it’s not a big issue.
Despite some aging facilities, the quiet, peaceful environment made it an ideal place to unwind. We’re grateful for the experience and will definitely be coming back. 🫶🏻

JhnllydIf you are looking for a fancy stay, this isn't it. But if you just need a place to sleep for a very cheap price, Aosmec CampHotel is definitely worth it. It’s perfect for solo travelers or backpackers who are only in Manila for a quick layover or a US Embassy appointment.
The ”rooms” are actually indoor tents, which is a unique experience. Even though you're in a tent, the air conditioning in the main area is strong, so it stays cool enough to sleep comfortably. The location is the best part—you are right in the middle of everything, close to malls and transport. Just keep in mind that since it’s a shared space, it can get a bit noisy when other people move around or unzip their tents. If you bring earplugs and don’t mind sharing a bathroom, you really can’t beat the price. For a low-budget stay, it’s a solid 4/5 stars.
