"This is my fourth time staying at Crystalbrook Riley on the Esplanade when visiting Cairns. It's a king of both looks and value for money! **Location is superb**: Right on the Esplanade boardwalk, just a few minutes' walk to the marina and night market, super convenient for catching boats to the Great Barrier Reef. I love strolling along the boardwalk, it's so relaxing! **Full of resort vibes**: My favorite is the outdoor pool with an artificial beach – sunshine, clear water, and sand, perfect for photos! There's also a safe shallow area for kids. **Breakfast recommendation**: The breakfast is extensive. You absolutely have to try sitting in the outdoor dining area, enjoying a delicious breakfast while overlooking the ocean. It's the perfect way to start your day energetically. **Thoughtful details**: The rooms are modern and minimalist, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. Overall, this is a luxury hotel that blends modern design with a tropical flair, suitable for both couples on a romantic getaway and families on vacation. Next time I'm in Cairns, I'll definitely choose Crystalbrook Riley again!"

"Great hotel at a great price. Big, clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The pool was also great and refreshing. Walking distance to all restaurants and major shops. They make good coffee in the hotel bar too! They don’t clean your room for stays of less than 7 nights, but we were able to get clean towels daily if we wanted them. Friendly staff and overall a great home for us while we visited Cairns!"

"The room was quite spacious, with two large beds and a balcony/courtyard. The hotel has several pools, including a small artificial beach. There's a restaurant by the pool, and the food was decent. There was a pizza place, but it was closed during my stay. Free parking is available."

"I booked a 3-bedroom apartment, but didn't have high expectations since it was a motel. However, it was cleaner than I thought and not bad at all. It's a bit far from the city center, so I had to use Uber frequently. Still, the accommodation fee was cheap enough that even with the Uber costs, it was still a good deal. It takes about 10 minutes by Uber to get to the city center, and you can just do your grocery shopping at a supermarket there and take an Uber back."

"Pros: Great location – less than a 5-minute walk to the night market, which was super convenient. The reception area is gorgeous and makes a great first impression. Toiletries were excellent – good quality and not locked away like in some other hotels, and they smelled really nice. The rainforest shower was a standout – absolutely loved it. The rooftop bar is a vibe, with $9 margaritas and tacos, which was a great bonus. Cons: The room had a musty smell, and there was no window to let in fresh air, which made it feel quite closed in. The sink trap also had a strong unpleasant smell, and the cushions in the room didn’t smell fresh either. We booked for 4 people, but housekeeping only provided 2 towels daily, so we had to request more every day. The pool is quite small, and the chlorine levels seemed very high – it irritated and burned our eyes, and we ended up having to visit a pharmacy."

"Great service! Just a heads-up, if you're on the second floor with large luggage, it can be a bit inconvenient. They have a free swimming pool and a really spacious kitchen if you want to cook your own meals. Plus, there's a shopping center right across from the hotel, which is super convenient. It's also an easy walk to the market or night market."

"This hotel is over 100 years old and has a colonial South Seas vibe. It's quite old; the lampshade in my room was a bit moldy, one of the desk lamp switches was rusted and broken, and the window latch was also rusted and covered in bird droppings. The interior was generally clean, and it's very close to the Great Barrier Reef terminal. If you're looking for a cheaper option, you could stay here."
