"The biggest highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly our butler, Lulu. Before our arrival, she proactively contacted me to understand our needs and went above and beyond to fulfill them. She was incredibly helpful with anything she could coordinate and actively sought solutions for things beyond her direct control – truly commendable! 👍 During our stay, she was incredibly responsive and efficient in booking activities and arranging a late check-out. So, these 5 stars are definitely for our butler. Another great point is the lifeguard at the pool; they are, without a doubt, the most responsible I've ever encountered at a hotel. They diligently watched the pool every single minute, never getting distracted. The staff at the kids' activities also did a fantastic job, engaging with every child and ensuring everyone felt included. On the downside, the room cleaning could be improved. The non-slip mat in the bathtub had a greasy film underneath (though when I informed the butler, she immediately resolved it and provided disposable bath liners). Replenishment of amenities was also inconsistent. The hot food at the executive lounge was disappointing and didn't match the quality expected from a five-star hotel at this price point. Lastly, the kids' club was very small and lacked proper ventilation."

The air conditioning in the room works great, cooling the place down instantly. "The hotel is quite close to the old town street, with the sea right behind it. I saw people fishing, though I'm not sure if they caught anything. There's a swimming pool at the hotel, but the weather was a bit cool, so I didn't go in. Instead, I sat by the edge watching kids learn to swim. Staying here was very convenient. I bought some dried seafood to take home; the price was reasonable, and fresh seafood would have been too difficult to transport."

"This stay was on the night before leaving Beihai at the end of our trip. The Wyndham's room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also excellent. When we checked out, the staff enthusiastically helped us with our luggage to the car, so the service was great. The only downside was that the hairdryer in the room was very old-fashioned, making for a very unpleasant experience. I suggest they update it immediately to keep up with the times. (The other hotels we stayed at in Beihai and Weizhou Island all had Dyson hairdryers.) In comparison, this one felt very subpar and didn't match the hotel's positioning."

"This has to be the most highly recommended luxury hotel in Beihai. The location is excellent, the facilities are new, and the rooms are cozy. The food is also a rare find – delicious and great value for money. The infinity pool, outdoor pool, pet park, and the kids' club on the 7th floor are perfect for families, and there's even a bubble show in the pool in the afternoon, which kids absolutely love. A big thank you to the front desk lady who upgraded us to a sea view room, offering direct views of the most beautiful part of Silver Beach. I also want to commend the two gentlemen who led the morning beachcombing activity; they taught us detailed techniques and went above and beyond to help us collect shells and catch crabs, making sure we had a plentiful haul. We will definitely choose Hualuxe again next time."

"Traveling with my child, staying at the Crowne Plaza was incredibly convenient. We were right next to Silver Beach Yuyou Plaza, which made it super easy to go clam digging and play in the sand. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, and there's even staff to help with washing and drying, which was a huge plus. The complimentary morning tea voucher was legitimate – no hidden catches – and the morning tea itself was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was also very diverse. My child and I would usually have breakfast at the hotel, and that would basically cover us until dinner. The evening buffet was also quite extensive, with excellent service and a great selection of seafood."

MMiiiiiiiioTraveling during the off-season was such a great experience! The hotel even upgraded us to a courtyard suite for free. The service here is truly exceptional; before we even arrived on the island, the staff created a WeChat group to remind us about ferry tickets, motion sickness prevention, and other details. As soon as we disembarked, a shuttle picked us up and took us directly to the hotel. We could request any services we needed directly through the WeChat group, and they were always incredibly responsive. Our room had direct access to the pool, and the balcony led straight to the beach (it could get a little noisy at night with the beach bar and live music, but it always stopped after 10 PM). The food was also delicious and really hit the spot. My child even said this was the best hotel he's ever stayed at, haha!

The inn has a kitchen for guests to use, and more conveniently, the only vegetable selling point on the island is right next to it. The proprietress of the inn is from Baoding and is very enthusiastic. She not only helped us design tour routes and contact transportation, but also picked us up from the pier for free.

It would be better to stay in the garden room in front of the swimming pool. The price is cheaper. There is afternoon tea, which is exquisite and fresh, and breakfast service, which is clean and hygienic. We were picked up at the pier and received a small collection of shells and conchs as a delicate gift. The most surprising thing was that I took life-like photos during the free photo shoot offered by the hotel. The photographer lady understood me so well. Love it, already set as wallpaper! The hotel has small electric donkeys for rent. Shiluokou Beach is right downstairs from the hotel. I regret not taking a good walk there. Cons: The lights in the hotel are too dim. Hot water takes a long time to drain. The hotel is not too close to the Sports Park, Nanwan Old Street and other centers

LLawcchThis was my second time checking in for this new homestay. The boss is very kind to pick me up from the Beihai jetty after I returned from my trip to Weizhou island. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. He was also very responsive when I requested slippers and clothes hangers. This Homestay hotel is strategically located near the silver beach. I strongly recommend travellers or tourists stay here to see the beautiful homestay place and the boss is also kind enough to allow cooking in the kitchen. I also did my sweet and sour pork and chicken meats in my first 2 days stay here. I gave the boss and this homestay place considered 5 stars for the best value for money.

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

The TV in the room won't turn on, come and help immediately. Very satisfied. It was just that the weather was cool this time, so it was a pity that I couldn't swim. GGuest UserI came to Weizhou Island for a day trip alone. This hotel is great. The owner personally went to the pier to pick me up. Thumbs up to the owner! The hotel also offers electric bike rentals at affordable prices. The bikes can be ridden very fast and it’s so cool to take a ride on the beach! The boss is a local of Weizhou Island. He can also give you a guide to check in around the island. You can check in the scenic spots according to the guide. If you don’t understand, you can ask the boss I bought a double room, but the boss changed it to a king-size room when he saw I was alone. The bed was really big, and the space was also large. It felt like it was almost 30 square meters. Surrounded by fields, it was quiet at night. Weizhou Island is so beautiful!

GGuest UserMy stay at the Sheraton was a truly delightful surprise, and I absolutely have to write a glowing review. First, let's talk about the location: The hotel is incredibly close to the coast, just a few minutes' walk to the beach, offering a genuine seaside resort experience. I could even catch the sunrise and still make it back for breakfast, which was perfect. Next, the facilities: I was initially worried that an older hotel might have outdated facilities, but everything here is exceptionally well-maintained. From the lobby to the guest rooms, the air conditioning, bathrooms, and pool equipment all run smoothly and are spotless. It's clear the management team puts a lot of effort into upkeep, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay. Now, for the highlight: the service! The front desk staff were incredibly patient during check-in and proactively offered recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. A special shout-out to the manager, who was very responsive and quick to address any issues that arose – excellent work! Finally, the breakfast: The variety was incredible! They offered both Chinese and Western options, with freshly cooked noodles, local specialties, fresh fruit, and desserts – everything you could wish for, and it all tasted fantastic. In summary: Great service, excellent location, well-maintained facilities, and fantastic breakfast. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit! Highly recommended! 👍
