"A better experience than expected! I was initially worried about cleanliness and street noise, but it was perfectly clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive to all requests. With the windows closed and AC set to 22 degrees, I slept soundly despite facing the street. On Dragon Boat Festival, there was heavy traffic and lots of honking near Tengwang Pavilion downstairs until around 10 PM, but after the festival, there was hardly any noise at night.
The family room offers a view of Tengwang Pavilion's North Garden, and the scenery was stunning after the rain.
As someone from Wuhan, I actually find the Gan River more beautiful than the Yangtze River, haha! Maybe it's the green wetlands in the middle that give the scenery more depth, and combined with the beauty of Tengwang Pavilion, it's truly elevated."

This stay far exceeded my expectations; if I had to describe it in one word, it would be 'breathtaking.'
First, I have to rave about the river view! The room offered an unparalleled vista, directly facing the wide river. Watching the sparkling river during the day instantly lifted my spirits, and at night, it was simply a visual feast.
What impressed me most was the night view across the river. As dusk settled, the buildings on the opposite bank lit up magnificently. The dazzling lights reflected in the water, creating what looked like a flowing galaxy.
The hotel service was also incredibly thoughtful. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, allowing for a peaceful sleep after enjoying the beautiful scenery.

"The front desk service was excellent; they handled issues promptly. A staff member was very enthusiastic and even carried my luggage to the room. The room itself was nice and very clean. It's a bit of a shame I missed the night view since I checked in later, but the sunrise in the morning was beautiful. Now for the highlight: the breakfast was incredibly diverse! It featured local Nanchang specialties, porridge, noodles, various pastries, bread, drinks, coffee, and fruit. They even had a salad option for those watching their diet. Breakfast was definitely a satisfying experience. Plus, I could store my luggage for free at the front desk after checking out, which was very convenient for travel. "Let's start with the downsides:
1. The room facilities are clearly aging, including the toilet, shower, and small sofa. The deluxe river-view twin room I stayed in on the 2nd/3rd night had even worse facilities than the executive king room on the first night.
2. The housekeeping department lacks basic amenities like a step stool for children (they said it's only provided for family rooms).
3. Soundproofing isn't great. If your room is a bit close to the elevator lobby, it can get quite noisy.
4. Adjusting the air conditioning temperature didn't seem to have any effect, though the overall comfort was still acceptable.
Now for the highlights:
1. The river-facing rooms offer an unbeatable view. The scenery is even more beautiful than in the photos.
2. From a tourist perspective, the location is excellent. Tengwang Pavilion and Dashiyuan are very close, and Wanshou Palace is also within walking distance.
3. The breakfast quality is decent, with a wide variety of options, including many local Nanchang specialties. The view from the restaurant windows during breakfast is also fantastic.
4. Although the hotel is tall, the elevators are fast and the water pressure is good, effectively avoiding common high-rise living issues.
5. The staff at the concierge, front desk, customer service, and restaurant are all very enthusiastic and have a great attitude.
Other notes:
The afternoon tea provided with the executive room on the first day was quite good. However, the welcome fruit platter was only delivered on the third day and wasn't of great quality."

"I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Nanchang Railway Station and had a very good experience overall. The hotel is located right next to the railway station, which may not be the most scenic or tourist-oriented area, but it was exactly what I needed for convenience.
The surroundings are actually quite lively, with plenty of food options nearby. The hotel is connected to or surrounded by a mall full of restaurants and local Jiangxi-style snacks, so finding something to eat is never a problem.
The cleanliness was excellent—rooms were very well maintained and comfortable. The staff were also a highlight of the stay: very helpful, friendly, and professional. The reception staff, in particular, were outstanding and made everything easy.
One thing I really appreciated was the arranged transport to the railway station. Although it was a small paid service (around 10 RMB), it was extremely convenient. The driver knew exactly where to go and dropped me right at the correct entrance using a route that would have been difficult to figure out on my own—especially in the heat.
Breakfast was very good, with a solid selection, mainly Chinese-style. While there aren’t many Western options, the quality is good and the staff are attentive.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, especially if you need to stay near the railway station. It may not be a destination hotel, but for convenience, service, and comfort, it does the job very well."

"For my trip to Nanchang, I chose the Hampton by Hilton Nanchang Qiushui Square, and it was an excellent choice! The location is superb; it's just a few minutes' walk to Qiushui Square to see the fountain show, and it's close to the metro for easy transportation. The guest rooms are brand new and spotless, featuring a smart toilet and a comfortable Serta bed for a great night's sleep. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of the Ganjiang River at night. Breakfast on the 31st floor includes authentic Nanchang mixed noodles and Wagan soup, with a wide variety of options. The front desk staff were very attentive and the hotel offers great value for money. It's definitely my top choice for staying in Honggutan."

"Facilities: It's really new, and everything is very smart. No need to insert a key card for power, the human body sensor is quite advanced.
Hygiene: Very clean and spacious. Everything is spotless, especially new, and the decor is also excellent.
Environment: It's particularly beautiful and very photogenic. The main hall is great for photos; any couch makes for a fantastic picture. It's very trendy and especially nice.
Service: The front desk staff are all very gentle and enthusiastic. They answer all questions and provide excellent service. I brought two young children, and the service was still very good.

DIY Ceramic Hand-painting: We received a beautiful vase. It was a wonderful immersive experience. This ceramic hand-painting class was excellent, with professional teachers guiding us. We didn't have to worry about how to paint at all, and the children were quite inspired in their creations.
Double Afternoon Tea: The tea was also very nice. For afternoon tea, you could choose coffee, milk, or mousse cake, which was great. The children loved it."

Xxiwei123An absolutely fantastic experience! First off, the facilities are quite comprehensive. Beyond the usual hotel amenities, they also provide laundry detergent and chargers, and there were fresh lilies in the room! Besides breakfast, they offer afternoon tea and late-night snacks, all of which were high-quality, not just an afterthought. The front desk staff were also lovely, greeting me every time I came and went. You can pick up yogurt, tea, and fruit at the front desk, and they even helped me get a package delivered to my room when they saw me waiting for it. You can do laundry and work out here. I got oil on my clothes late at night, and the hotel took them and returned them to my room early the next morning. I stay in hotels frequently, and I've never experienced such excellent service at this price point! Seriously recommend! My only minor complaint is that the bathroom doesn't have a retractable clothesline. Also, a small suggestion: when housekeeping cleans, they don't need to put items back in their original spots. I moved the vase to use the large table, and the cleaning lady moved it back.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel in Nanchang, and the location is fantastic – right across from the subway station. The room was well-cleaned and even came with disposable toilet seat covers and disinfectant wipes, which was a nice touch. The in-room smart assistant was also super convenient to use. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge or particularly lavish, the Nanchang-style mixed noodles were absolutely delicious and just as good as what you'd find outside. I also appreciated that you need to use your room card to access the elevators, which made me feel very secure. Definitely recommend it; I'd choose to stay here again on my next trip to Nanchang!

Plus, if the driver has time, they'll even take you to the subway station – they drove me there and back! Super nice. And if you come back late and haven't eaten, the hotel offers free late-night snacks until midnight! My booking didn't include breakfast, but since I had an early flight, the front desk still gave me bread, milk, and eggs 🥹. There are also cats by the entrance, and they're super friendly, rubbing against everyone 😍. In short, if you have an early flight, stay here! Highly recommend!

JJason Zhou WSLocation: The location is not right smack central to all the popular tourist spots but it's close enough to get to 万寿宫 on foot (5 minutes). Also, it is close to the river and if you are lucky enough, you get a room with a fantastic river view!
Cleanliness: The hotel I am not sure if it's new or what but it's very nicely maintained. The beds are good, the sheets are clean and everything is really superb.
Service: Maybe it's just me (Singaporean) cause I am very impressed with their receptionist services like helping me out with payment, booking of car etc etc but all these according to my local friends, they say it's just the basic in service industries~
Facilities: Honestly, if you are here looking for a gym or a pool then sad to say, it's non-existence, even the breakfast I would recommend not to get it unless you are traveling with elderly and they need something to eat early in the morning then for that price point, it's still reasonable. Otherwise, go out hit the streets and there are tons of fantastic food options for you to choose from.
Lastly, overall impression is superb and it's definitely super value for money. In fact for the price I paid I would say it far exceeded in value. Which is the reason why, I will always choose this hotel when I am back in Nanchang~ (I tried other hotels, to be honest, the rooms are not as great)

GGuest UserThe lobster restaurant and barbecue restaurant next to it are both very good, and it's also right next to Dream Mall, which is really great. I recommend staying here. The front desk is also very quick to resolve issues without delay. The restaurant next to it is also very good, and the Gan Canteen is quite good. The fresh meat pie on this street is absolutely amazing, very delicious, highly recommended.
