"Hotel is very clean with a beautiful lobby area. The rooftop pool and bar offers great views of the lotus tower and the sunset over the ocean. However the rooms have a bad odour probably due to humidity or lack of ventilation. The bed linen isn’t very clean with stains on the covers and sheets."

"This was my second stay at Cinnamon Grand. My first experience was excellent. This time, I checked in late, and since the rooms in the usual section were full, I was assigned a room on the other side. The facilities there felt noticeably older, the hairdryer was broken, and the bathroom was smaller than in the other section. Furthermore, the cleanliness was poor – there were clumps of hair and a dead cockroach, and no slippers were provided. It felt like the two sections of the hotel had different standards for room upkeep. Since it was late when I checked in and I was only staying for two nights, I decided not to ask the hotel to change my room. If you're staying here, I recommend choosing a room accessed via the front desk entrance, rather than the one next to the pastry shop. I hope the hotel can improve the standards of these rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. During check-in, there was a system issue, and I was initially assigned two double rooms. The staff member then had to check four different rooms to find a correct single room for me. I really appreciate their effort. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the beach. However, it's quite a distance from the artificial harbor and the shopping mall, so it's best to take a tuk-tuk."

"The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. It's surrounded by banks and currency exchange offices, and it's very close to markets and shopping areas, with many attractions nearby. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming. I rarely stay in such a nice hotel. Public transport in Sri Lanka is incredibly convenient and affordable. Beautiful scenery and kind-hearted people! Every time I stopped to wipe my brow, someone immediately asked if I needed help. It's a country of faith, definitely worth visiting."

"The hotel strategically position it self on the beach,which make it popular and attractive.i enjoyed the room selected Premier Sea View with Balcony also the staff were professional and nice.However due to the Cyclone Ditwah were forced to be in our rooms for about 2 to 3 days nkt enjoying as much as per say. The staff like Dasun was very helpful with check in process and other issue.The room was specious,clean and provided safe deposit which comes very in handy sometimes.The breakfast and dinner was delicious especially tomato's soup and fried chicken rice. Thank you chef and the night waiter, sorry i did not get his name."

BBeeshman BahiradanHotel Nippon Colombo offers a decent stay with a few hits and misses. The rooms were okay — fairly clean, but could use some updating in terms of decor and maintenance. Service was polite but a bit slow at times, and certain amenities felt a little dated. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant really impressed us with flavorful Sri Lankan dishes and a variety of options that felt authentic and well-prepared. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals consistently stood out and were the highlight of the stay.
