Ottawa Hotels with Kitchens

"Ottawa is very small, the hotel location is very convenient, also in the core area, about 20 minutes to the subway station. I saw that everyone commented that the facilities were old and I didn't think it was in the way. When I checked in, the swimming pool could not be used. The indoor one did not say that the reason was repaired. Second, the deposit pre-authorization requires 200 knives, the sound of the air conditioner in the room rumbling, quickly call the front desk to see, the little brother said that there is no way that it may be broken, and then whispered to me, or I asked the front desk if I could change a room. Dreams came, called the front desk, the front desk said to go upstairs to the same room type and wait for someone to send the key to change the room. Well, go downstairs and ask the front desk, the one at the front desk, said in vain that she didn't receive the call, didn't say to change the room, said that the air conditioner was normal! She answered the phone, can the hotel phone call be elsewhere, originally it is not necessary to change, must waste customer time... This service attitude is a bit too greasy!"

"Booked this hotel last minute as we had to stay one extra night in the city and it was really amazing! This is a hotel I would definitely go back! The lady at the counter was extremely nice and she spoke Portuguese! She was really happy to be able to speak with us in Portuguese and we were happy she spoke Portuguese! The hotel location is really good, downtown near the parliament, and the room was amazing! Really big and spacious studio with a kitchen and a living room. Bed was really comfortable but the sofa bed was not that good (as in all hotels). Toilet was big and had all the amenities. Breakfast was good and had eggs, bacon, fruits, cereals, fresh waffles, chia pudding, bread, … They have private parking at an extra fee but the entrance is really narrow. There’s also street parking around at a fee."

"The room was compact but cleverly designed, featuring a table, chairs, a balcony, and a dedicated pantry area with a microwave and an electric kettle. The kettle is a huge plus for Asians, as I've never seen one in any other North American hotel. They also provide complimentary iced water in the fridge, which is great because at other hotels, we always bring our own bottled water since you can't be sure about the tap water quality everywhere. The best part, though, was their breakfast, which offered Canadian ham. After days of American bacon, I was pleasantly surprised by how fragrant and delicious the Canadian ham was!"

"A particularly good check-in experience. The front desk is friendly. They can cook, which solves the embarrassment of not being able to find food on Christmas Eve. The air conditioner in the room is a bit loud. This is the only drawback."

"The location has some certain distance to subway stations, but it only matters if you arrive to or depart from the hotel using transit, as you might need to walk for around 10 minutes in order to get to the hotel. However, most of the attractions (Parliament, ByWard market) are within walkable distance (less than 20 minutes) so it is not a problem for me. The room is extremely spacious with even a kitchen and a printer for this price point, and the room is clean. However, the shower blinds have some gaps which seeps water to the floor wet while showering… The staff is really nice and friendly, and the free breakfast that comes with the room is good enough (I like the sausage and the egg bites). The laundry is 24/7 and comes with complimentary laundry sheets and powder, which is a big plus. However, do note that there is a certain chance that you’ll be assigned to a first floor room, which is essentially the ground floor… One of the entrance (the one next to the parking lot) for ground floor rooms can look a little bit sketchy at night. Since my room is also next to Elgin street where people go to the pubs at night, it can get a little bit noisy, but the bed is far away from the window so it sort of cancelled the disadvantage. It would be better if the front desk asked if a ground floor room was OK before giving the room cards."
