"Charming hotel with character and in a great central location. About 10 mins walk from Victoria train and coach stations. Friendly staff at reception. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the whole hotel and my room. I was expecting my room to be quite old-fashioned, but far from it. A heads up to people who like their quiet though. The walls and floors are thin. You can literally hear a conversation from next door quite clearly. Also you can pretty much hear anyone in the room above. Doors slam outside quite loudly and, although there is a ”Shhhh” sign you can hang on your door if you want guests around you to be quieter, it all really depends if the guests are considerate or not (mine weren't!). Also my bed was a tad too soft. I prefer a firmer mattress. But I can't complain as I was comfortable and slept reasonably well. As a solo female traveller, I also felt safe. Would definitely consider it for future trips if ever I need to be near Victoria again."
