Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!

10 min walks from metro station; booked last minute for a Easter trip so only can get a smoking room. Have a bit of smells of smoke but they have a air purifier there so it’s gone soon. Not the biggest of single room but ample enough for someone whose trip is just for shopping + crane game for big dolls

This hotel is located 5 min walk from Juso station, very convenient to travel to Kobe, Kyoto and Nara. Room is spacious and they provide with everything you may possibly need starting from toothbrush and razor to bath salt and foam, creams, cleansers, hair and face masks. That was amazing! Breakfast has some European options like scrambled eggs, sausages, toasts, pain au chocolat and cereal with milk. It doesn’t change much but you can always get something usual to eat. The staff is very helpful and they even allowed us to leave our suitcase free of charge for a day between our bookings when we left for ryokan for 1 night.

This hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations; it's almost on par with a five-star hotel. I've stayed in many capsule hotels, and this one is the best. The large public bath has everything you could possibly need, they even provide swim trunks! Razors, toothbrushes, hand towels, bath towels, pumice stones, exfoliating mitts, and multiple types of facial cleansers – they have it all. Can you believe there's even an open-air bath? They also offer massages, but those are extra. And seriously, they even have a blood pressure monitor! After showering, you can grab a drink and some noodles, which can be charged directly to your room. The luggage area has a huge packing table, with space underneath for oversized luggage (I didn't use it so I don't know if there's a charge). The lounge area has sofas for watching TV, and even a smoking section – it's incredibly convenient! Right outside the hotel is Umeda Higashidori Street, where bunny girls invite you to all-you-can-drink deals, and there are all sorts of food options around. The capsule itself is quite spacious, and the bedding is incredibly clean – I mean five-star hotel quality clean. I don't understand why the rating is low; for me, the only 'downside' is that there are too many amenities and services to explore before I had to check out. For a capsule hotel, the service is almost too much! One final friendly tip: you'll still need to buy your own toothpaste...

The Hotel is in a good location even though it is always mandatory to take the train to get to most sights or even the city centre. But it is a lively neighbourhood with loads of traditional Japanese pubs. The Hotel itself is a bit older and I think the room and the equipment (e.g. the blanket cover) shows the age. But it was clean. Amenities and free coffee/tea is available 24/7 and staff was very friendly.

The hotel is super close to the subway station, right at the exit. The room was generally clean, and both comfort and quietness were good. It's a bit of a walk from the JR station, about 15 minutes. Breakfast was quite expensive, so I didn't eat at the hotel; there's a Matsuya across the street which was a good alternative.

I arrived a little early, but they were happy to show me around. Since there was an infectious disease outbreak, I was grateful that they had provided a humidifier from the start.
The breakfast staff, parking lot staff, and cleaning staff all greeted me kindly, which was very pleasant.
I had stayed at the Nagoya branch the previous week and had a very unpleasant experience, so I wasn't expecting much, but I never expected to feel such a big difference between branches. A hotel really depends on the staff.

Good location, from thirteen stations to the hotel about 5 to 7 minutes, the hotel downstairs there are many restaurants to choose from, there are also convenience stores, medicine houses, nearby a shopping street walk, there is a bus directly to Shin-Osaka or Osaka station, easy to get out of the airport, the hotel space is moderate, clean and hygienic, not oppressive, stable water pressure and air conditioning comfortable (can to adjust), cheap price and free breakfast, for limited travel costs, is a very good choice, thirteen station has two Dongheng, do not mix, I went the first time wrong, in addition to the hotel near more nightclubs, so ladies door to pay attention, but I think it can, because the area is lively, but the second store is quieter

Hotel Review: Serene Elegance Boutique Hotel
I recently stayed at Serene Elegance Boutique Hotel during my trip, and the experience exceeded my expectations.
Location:
The hotel enjoys a prime location in the city center—just a 5-minute walk from the subway station. It’s surrounded by local restaurants, convenience stores, and major attractions, making it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and dining.
Check-in Experience:
The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. The lobby was clean, beautifully decorated, and subtly scented, creating a relaxing atmosphere upon arrival.
Room Comfort and Amenities:
I stayed in a Deluxe King Room, which was spacious, well-lit, and tastefully designed in a modern minimalist style. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp, clean linens. The room included high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a mini fridge, and a kettle—everything I needed. The bathroom featured a separate shower area, strong water pressure, and high-quality toiletries.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet offered a wide range of options, from Western-style dishes to traditional local fare. There were fresh fruits, hot porridge, eggs cooked to order, and baked goods. The dining area was elegant, and the staff were attentive, often checking in to offer coffee or tea refills.
Service:
The service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. Housekeeping was thorough, and any requests were responded to promptly. The staff were always friendly and professional, adding a personal touch to the stay.
Minor Downsides:
If I had to point out one small flaw, it would be the slightly thin walls—some hallway noise was audible in the evening. However, it didn’t significantly disrupt my sleep.
Overall:
This hotel offers fantastic value for money and is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. I’ll definitely return on my next visit to the city.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to Yotsubashi Station. If you're coming from Shinsaibashi, it's quite a long walk for an in-station transfer, which isn't very convenient. There's a McDonald's and a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. However, the 10 AM check-out time is unacceptable; hotels in Tokyo and Aomori all have 11 AM check-out. On the first night, I asked the front desk for an extra pillow and blanket but was told they didn't have any. Breakfast access is denied after 9:30 AM, and the selection is very limited. The room size was the smallest I encountered during my entire trip to Japan. The price is a bit high, making the value for money just average. While a 26-inch suitcase can be opened, for a family trip, kids pretty much have to sit on the bed as there's not much space to move around. The bathtub and toilet are in the same bathroom, not a separate setup. Overall, if I visit Osaka again, I won't consider this hotel. I strongly advise against booking the breakfast; for over 100 yen per person, you're better off getting something at McDonald's downstairs.
GGuest User✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵
My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected!
📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient.
🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light.
🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer.
👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier.
👍 Pros:
- Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers
- Excellent central location
- Secure system with lockers for your belongings
⚠️ Cons:
- If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one)
- Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space
- It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times
💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!
GGuest UserFirst, the positives: the hotel's location is impeccable, being just a few minutes' walk from the theme park. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are very spacious, and the two large beds can easily accommodate a family of four. We stayed for two nights. When we returned on the second day, we noticed that the sheets and duvet covers had been changed to new ones. However, the floor was completely uncleaned, and there was a noticeable amount of trash, which I find hard to believe wasn't seen. Also, I usually keep my black pajamas on the bedside table, as I feel the bed is clean. Typically, after housekeeping changes the bedding at other hotels, they place my pajamas back on the bedside table. This time, however, they were thrown on the floor, specifically in the gap between the nightstand and the bed (it took me a while to find them, and I've already picked them up in the photo, so it's not visible). I'm not sure if this was intentional.
XXLbaoWe stayed at The Singulari Hotel & Skyspa at Universal Studios Japan during our 4th trip to Japan and our first traveling with our auADHD toddler. This was our second hotel in Osaka, and we arrived by taxi directly from our previous hotel. Taxi tip: make sure you show the taxi driver the hotel name and address in Japanese. Our driver initially dropped us at Universal Studios Japan instead of the hotel entrance and that cost us when it showed him the Google maps address.
The hotel staff themselves were excellent. They deal with international guest on the daily and some speak English. Our forwarded luggage was received without issue and delivered directly to our room, which made arrival seamless. They have forms for luggage transport themselves that I used for our KIX airport hotel. Service throughout our stay was efficient and professional, and the staff clearly explained all hotel procedures.
The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It is about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios Japan, which gives you a real edge if you plan to rope drop. The subway station is directly outside the hotel entrance, making transportation extremely convenient. Universal Citywalk is steps away, with Starbucks, Lawson, Bikkuri Donki (Great for familes by the way), shopping, and countless restaurants all within immediate reach.
If you’re visiting USJ, I strongly recommend arriving at the park entrance by 7:30 a.m. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and it made the first ride strategy noticeably more challenging. Luckily disability service helped a little as it was similar to Disney when you have to go to the Fast Pass staff to get a return time but USJ uses pen and paper. The earlier you position yourself for rope drop, the smoother your morning will be. Lines were extremely long and we were only able to see half the park. Unless you have 2 days at USJ, I recommend buying the Express pass packages as early as possible as they were all sold out the day of. Definitely a big regret as we only had 1 day there.
The onsen sauna was of an average size. After long park days, it was incredibly relaxing. The baths are separated by gender, and there are no private rentable family spaces, so that’s something to keep in mind if traveling to onsen if you are not comfortable going commando with others.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom felt slightly dated but it was clean and fully functional. One thing I missed was having a small kitchenette and in-room washer/dryer. Laundry is available on the spa floor via coin machines, but in-room units would have been more better.
On our second day, we made a day trip to Ghibli Park in Aichi, which took about 2.5 hours each way via Shinkansen and local transit. It’s doable but long. If your primary focus is Universal Studios Japan, this hotel is an excellent strategic base. If you plan multiple long day trips outside Osaka, you may want something more centrally located. I should have planned a day to stay at Nagoya for my Ghibli Park day.
Overall, The Singulari is ideal for travelers prioritizing proximity to Universal Studios Japan, easy transit access (but not centrally located), and post-park relaxation in a quality onsen setting.
DDudeStarThe location of this hotel is one of the best within this price. Just a few steps from a main train station and only a hundred meters to Dotonbori. 1-day trip tour guide meeting point is located next to the hotel.
The room is small, but it is acceptable by japanese hotel standard. Clean and everything in the room works fine.
The only complaint: There was a false fire alarm around midnight. False alarm is understandable and acceptable, but the staffs didn't do anything about the situation. A lot of guests were evacuated downstair without winter jacket and they looked cold, waiting outside, but staffs didn't come out of their counter and tell about the false alarm. We didn't know that was a false alarm and were waiting until a guest who was close by to the counter and asked. Later, he was the one told other guests. I had stayed in Koko hotel chain a few times, but this incident made me feel losing trust.
Picture: the station close by and a lot of 1-day tour set a meeting point here.
MMaTheBreIn general, the hotel is absolutely ok. The price is affordable and the interior is new and wealthy. The location is recommendable with close public transport, a supermarket, convenience stores, and a coin laundry. The hotel has a shared room on the second floor with free coffee, tea, and water. Every day they have free beer happy hour from 6 to 7 including a DJ performance.
I would not recommend it to families with children or to people who prefer a “standard” hotel. Usually, hotels in Japan are super child-friendly, but there are no products for children (toothbrushes, pyjamas, slippers, etc.). The breakfast is in our opinion not worth it. It is good in terms of taste, but they do not have a buffet. There are some different sandwiches you can choose 3 (this is limited and when I asked why the answer was: “If they do not limit I could eat 10”. They have no variation in the sandwiches so when you have breakfast there for a week you've eaten all at least once or twice. Here as well nothing for kids so I paid full price breakfast for my son and the only thing he got was some juice. For us, another no-go was the super loud music in the public area (there is the breakfast room). You can enjoy your morning coffee with electronic dance music. The hotel has no laundry, but they offer a service. You can bring your clothes no matter how many and get them back for 5000¥ cleaned and dry. The coin washer 2minutes away is 900¥ for 8kg in 1h.
For younger people or for 1-2 nights absolutely ok. Breakfast better go out to one of the 1000 coffees and enjoy a wider choice.
GGuest UserI've stayed in some pretty luxurious five-star hotels and villa hotels in Hokkaido, Tokyo, and Hakone before, all costing upwards of CNY 2000 per night, with the one in Hokkaido even reaching CNY 4000. However, my room at this Tokyu hotel offered an unprecedented level of value for money. Since I was traveling solo, the price for one person wasn't high, and given that it's positioned as a business hotel, the cost was very reasonable and affordable.
The room itself was well-equipped, featuring a spacious bathroom, a washing machine, and a microwave. The refrigerator was also quite large and included a freezer compartment. The hairdryer and bath products (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) were from Refa. The room was bright and spacious, allowing for a very restful night's sleep. The night view was also quite good. My only minor complaint is that it was a bit noisy from the cars passing by on the road, so earplugs were necessary. Also, there was some dust on the window frame of the floor-to-ceiling window that hadn't been cleaned.
The location was excellent, conveniently close to two subway stations. The Omakase sushi restaurant I booked was just a 5-minute walk across the street.
The only thing I wasn't too happy with was the breakfast; the variety was quite limited. Given the price point, and having stayed for three nights, I only managed to get the salmon set once during breakfast. It's worth noting that at this Tokyu business economy hotel, room cleaning only involves changing towels and emptying the trash. There's also no complimentary bottled water provided.
GGuest UserI stayed at FL Hotel Dotonbori for two nights. When I arrived at Osaka Station, I was happy that the hotel was within walking distance, so getting there was very easy.
The hotel is located slightly behind the main Dotonbori area, but it’s still close enough to walk to all the main attractions. The location is definitely convenient.
When you enter the hotel, the amenities are placed in front of the reception, so you need to pick up whatever you need from the lobby before going up to your room. They provide pajamas, slippers, and other basic amenities.
One nice thing is that they offer free breakfast every morning. It’s simple, just two pieces of bread per person and hot drinks, but it’s still a nice touch. Everything is set up in front of the reception, and you can take it back to your room.
For me, there were a few downsides. I noticed a suspicious stain on the blanket on my bed. It wasn’t on the bedsheet itself, but on the blanket, which made me feel like housekeeping may have overlooked it.
The room size is about average for Japan. I was able to fit three large suitcases in the room, but there wasn’t much walking space, so I had to step around them.
Another issue is that the rooms are not very soundproof. Unfortunately, during my stay, my neighbors were quite loud at night, so that affected my sleep
HHeiressjloThe room itself is well maintained and the facilities are common basic ones that I need as a solo female traveler. It a 5 minute walk to Juso Station and a lot of convenience store around. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!
GGuest UserConveniently located at Dotonburi and about 6-7 mins walk to metro. Location is near bars and at night you will see girls and some males standing around, they won’t disturb you but will hang around getting customers into their bars. We stayed highest at level 12 so can’t hear any noise from the street. Rooms are very small and we couldn’t open our luggage at all, if you don’t mind this and the bar streets, it’s conveniently located. Also we took Namba Nankai line directly to airport so that’s nicely situated!
