I was able to relax with my family in a very nice space!
I was very satisfied.
I would like to use it again!
I would like to recommend it to my friends!
The comfort of a hotel combined with the facilities of a health resort for a space of relaxation!
The hotel's Japanese name is ピースフル优佑悠, and its website address is ************************. I booked a single room on July 13th, thinking it was a special price of 93 yuan per night. Upon check-in on the afternoon of the 14th, the front desk informed me that it was a birthday special price, but my passport showed a different check-in date than my birthday, so I couldn't enjoy the birthday special price and needed to pay the difference. I mentioned that when I booked through Ctrip, neither the website nor the order (in English and Chinese) indicated this was a birthday-only special price. After some consideration, I decided to pay the difference first. I then contacted Ctrip customer service to report the situation. Ctrip, the Japanese agent, and the hotel verified the situation, and after coordination among the three parties, the Japanese hotel agreed to refund the extra difference, which was processed on the evening of July 15th. I am very grateful to Ctrip customer service for their coordination and solutions. Upon check-in, I discovered that this is a hotel with a hot spring bath, and in addition to selling hot spring tickets to hotel guests, the hotel rooms do not have showers. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot spring bathing (a key is provided in the lobby locker for the hot spring pool; the front desk will give you a plastic bag containing towels and a short-sleeved top and bottom for the hot spring). Guests can bathe twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Although the hotel is a bit far from JR and Shinkansen Kumamoto stations, requiring a train ride from Kumamoto station to Tokai Gakuenmae and then a bus transfer, it's situated on a main road leading from Kumamoto to Aso (near Ajisen Ramen, convenience stores, and restaurants), making it more suitable for those driving. It's also a good option for guests heading east to take the train towards Aso and Oita. The hotel is situated on a hilltop, reflecting Kumamoto's mountainous terrain. The hot spring baths are on the second and third floors, and the view from the observation deck is quite expansive. My single room was spacious, with a desk, refrigerator, bright windows offering a wide view (there's no wall outside the window!), and large suitcases could be easily opened. I've attached photos. The right side of the picture shows the three-story onsen building. The first floor is the reception area, the second floor is the onsen, and the third floor is a rest area (with many lounge chairs) and a dining area (a restaurant with a view). The tall building on the left contains the hotel rooms. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, which can be purchased separately if needed. The hotel is very clean. Guests must remove their shoes and place them in the shoe locker when checking in at the onsen building reception. When walking in the onsen and the hotel, only the hotel-provided slippers are allowed (going barefoot is also acceptable). Two additional tips: 1) The Aso yogurt sold in the vending machine in the onsen lobby is delicious; 2) Since the English of tourism staff in Kumamoto is not very good, domestic tourists are advised to use Google Translate or a voice translation app to communicate with the front desk.

The hotel is okay, but quite old and outdated, so I'd say it should be cheaper for what they provide. Location is perfect for an overnight before your flight though. Stuff is friendly and helping, also they gift you a tasty ice cream. Hot bath also looks old, but it's a nice addition to relax before sleep, you can even watch the stars late evening in onsen. You can see the mountains from your window and lots of green houses) Breakfast cost is 1500 jpy, I didn't use this option. Overall everything was okay, but I believe they need to renovate rooms.

Amazing
Lluv travelingI recently stayed at THE BLOSSOM Kumamoto and it was easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan.
The location is unbeatable — it’s directly connected to JR Kumamoto Station and sits above a shopping mall, which made everything incredibly convenient, from transport to dining and shopping.
The hotel itself feels very modern and well-designed. The lobby and common areas are spacious and stylish, and the rooms are surprisingly roomy by Japanese standards. Everything was spotless, and the layout (especially the separate shower and toilet areas) made the stay very comfortable.
One of the highlights was definitely the public bath (onsen). It’s clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day of exploring. The hotel also offers great facilities overall, and you can tell everything is still quite new and well maintained.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the service really added to the overall experience.
Overall, THE BLOSSOM Kumamoto is a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and modern design. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kumamoto.
GGuest UserPros:
1. Great location! It's a convenient 5-10 minute walk from Kumamoto Bus Terminal (easily accessible by bus from Fukuoka Airport), right in the commercial district. No worries about coming back late after shopping.
2. The hotel is very new and spotlessly clean. There wasn't a single dirty spot or any unpleasant odors. The hygiene was exceptional.
3. On the first floor, there's a self-service station for amenities and maps. On the middle floors, you'll find pajamas and a microwave.
4. The staff were fantastic! One gentleman spoke Chinese and proactively offered help in Chinese, and all the other staff members were incredibly nice.
Cons:
1. This is truly hard to explain, but I didn't sleep a wink for both nights of my stay. The hotel allows windows to be opened, so the temperature was good, but it got stuffy and hot in the middle of the night. The duvet was incredibly non-breathable, feeling like it was made of a poor quality material. My arms even broke out in a rash, possibly an allergic reaction. The pillow was also uncomfortable.
2. The room type I was given overlooked a construction site, and it was incredibly noisy.
Overall, it was a very strange stay. The hotel is new, and the staff are great, yet I somehow couldn't sleep for two nights. I'm still feeling groggy and can't pinpoint why it didn't work for me. However, I still highly recommend the hotel.
AAnonymous UserService: English service was available, making communication smooth and clear. The front desk staff were professional.
Environment: The location is excellent. There's a bus stop right downstairs, it's easy to hail a taxi, and there are supermarkets, Kumamoto souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby – very convenient. There's also a pedestrian street in the vicinity, and the room offers a view of Kumamoto Castle.
Hygiene: Overall, it was good. Even when 'Do Not Disturb' was selected, fresh towels were still left hanging on the door. However, we found a pair of slippers under the bed that weren't ours, likely left by a previous guest.
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the city center, with shopping right downstairs. The triple room we stayed in was a decent size, but the bathroom drain had a really unpleasant, garlicky smell that I absolutely disliked. The public bath was a bit chaotic and not a hot spring; it had a strong bleach odor. You get what you pay for, I guess. The hotel's partner parking next door had a height limit, and the other partner lots were too far and not much cheaper. The next day, I just parked in the non-partner lot across the street, which was only about 200 yen more for the night.
AAnonymous UserExcellent stay at one station! First time and with it's perfect location it makes travelling around so convenient. Beside it it's Kumamoto Station and there is AMU Shopping mall just beside it. If you rented a car during your stay in Kumamoto, you may just park at the multi story carpark behind the hotel for just 1000 yen for 24hrs with multiple entries but you would have to head to hotel reception to get the coupon for it. Definitely a recommended stay in Kumamoto
CCarltonBooked this hotel last minute and it was surprisingly cheap, definitely worth the price. The only downside is there's no parking. I wasn't feeling well that day and just parked across the street, which ended up costing me 1300 JPY for 12 hours. Turns out, if I had looked around a bit more, there were plenty of spots nearby for 500-600 JPY for the same duration.
HhelensilivrenThe tea cup in the room was not clean, i wish the hotel payed more attention to that. The hotel itself is very close to the station and the breakfasts are good, I've been there twice and each time the food was a little different. The staff at reception desk is very helpful
JJiangchuanmaijiuPros: Great location, super close to Sakuramachi bus terminal, making transfers really convenient. The front desk staff were also excellent. When I asked about sending my luggage to my next hotel, they took my next hotel reservation, handled everything themselves – contacting the next hotel and even filling out the shipping form for me.
Cons: The facilities are quite old. The water boiler is just a small stainless steel cup that you heat up – it's tiny and seems unsafe, I can't understand why they haven't upgraded it. Breakfast was also mediocre; all the fruit was canned.
LLei,taoOverall, a fantastic stay! I really appreciated the complimentary drinks and the spacious bathtub in the room. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be returning for another visit. My only minor critique is that the location isn't the most convenient, but despite that, I found the overall experience to be very satisfactory.
GGuest UserI honestly do not know where to start, I booked the hotel without really knowing much about Kumamoto Prefecture. After arriving in Kumamoto City and then realising Ueki Onsen is another 40 minute bus ride I was thinking oh dear where am I staying. After arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the manager of the hotel who showed me to my room and gave me a tour of the facilities. Once settled in I realised there isn't great public transport around and I primarily wanted to see Beppu and Yufuin during my stay, I enquired with the manager on where I might be able to rent a car, with little to no Japanese language under my belt he took it upon himself to reserve a vehicle for me and offered to drive me himself to collect it. He then also said he would take me back to return it a few days later. After my trips to Beppu and Yufui village (Not to be missed) and not to miss the outstanding and beautiful surroundings in Uekimachi and the Aso region. The manager and I set off to return my hire car, on the way back he took me to Kikuchi shrine to pray and also gifted me coffee and cake. They also accommodated me with use of the on site onsen (amazing) after hours as I'm heavily tattooed. I feel truly grateful to have found this hidden gem of rural Japan and if you are thinking of traveling this great country I emplore you to go off the beaten path. I experienced untold kindness during my stay and have memories of a life time. Thank you so much guys
