The ryokan was quite charming with lots of Japanese accents and architectural details. We signed up for one traditional breakfast and loved the experience. We loved the yukata outfits provided to schlep around the ryokan or even around town. The location was a bit of a walk going to the business/food/shop road but this only got a bit inconvenient when we had to drag our suitcases for about 10 minutes getting to the bus stop on our way back to the train station... thank goodness it was downhill all the way! Noboribetsu Onsen was a really cool place to visit!

Hotel was located higher up at noboribetsu. You can take the public bus and alighted at the last bus stop. Booked a room with a very traditional Japanese style. I need to lay a few mattresses for my sleep. Hotel has private onsen and a wide variety of breakfast and dinner buffet. Lobby has a supermart which open only at certain timing. There’s few vendor machines available for drinks. Hotel staffs can speak simple English. Make sure you include both as dinning out will be difficult. Take note u need to have a time table of the public bus to travel around noboribetsu.

Stayed at Adex Inn Hotel and had a great experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk to 地狱谷 (Jigokudani / Hell Valley), making it super convenient for sightseeing. One of the best added values is the access to the open-site onsen facilities, which really enhanced the overall stay and relaxation. The room is a bit small, but that’s expected in Japan — especially considering the very reasonable pricing. Overall, a comfortable and value-for-money stay. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience and a relaxing onsen experience!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The highlight was definitely the *authentic Japanese set dinner and breakfast* provided as part of the package. The *kaiseki-style dinner* was beautifully presented, with a variety of seasonal dishes that showcased local ingredients and flavors. Every course—from the sashimi to the simmered and grilled items—was crafted with care and balance. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than just a meal. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive—a traditional *Japanese set meal* with rice, miso soup, grilled fish, pickles, and a few small side dishes. Everything was fresh and prepared with a light, healthy touch. The meals alone made the stay worthwhile, especially if you're looking to immerse yourself in *authentic Japanese hospitality and cuisine*. Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional food in a peaceful, relaxing environment.

Amazing
Ddorothy_kiraThis homestay is located here in the boarding station. It belongs to a relatively large household. There are two toilets. There are enough rooms. Towels, toothbrushes, and the landlord have all prepared. The whole process is self-check-in. There is no problem. You need to contact the landlord. The whole process is very smooth. The children don't want to leave. There is a larger supermarket around, buy ingredients to make your own barbecue, very suitable for family or friends gathering
GGuest UserFacilities: Absolutely fantastic!
Cleanliness: As expected from a Japanese hotel, impeccable.
Ambiance: Elegant.
Service: Warm and welcoming.
This hotel was our first stop on our trip to Japan and it completely exceeded our expectations. Although it was a bit pricey, my family of three all agreed it was worth every penny. It honestly made all the subsequent hotels on our trip feel just 'okay' in comparison.
We chose the 'one night, two meals' plan, and the D-type room came with a hot spring bath.
The sushi at dinner was incredible – far better than what you'd get at a high-end restaurant in a major city (where you'd pay around 1300 JPY per person), and even better than the sushi we had in Sapporo and Tokyo.
Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were incredibly polite and enthusiastic.
We will definitely be back and will book the same hotel and room type again. This is the first hotel I've ever felt compelled to recommend; it's so much better than anything you'd find back home! It's rare to find a hotel that makes you want to linger and return.
DDi TanThis traditional Japanese ryokan features a private onsen and is located about 8 minutes on foot from the main road with restaurants and 20 minutes from the entrance to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). The interior is beautifully maintained in classic style, with tatami flooring throughout the common areas and guest rooms, which are furnished with comfortable futon bedding.
The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities. Anything not already provided can be taken from the selection near the reception. Guests receive a yukata to wear around the ryokan and to the onsen. Complimentary drinks are available at reception, though they request you enjoy them in your room rather than common areas.
The gender-separated onsen, while small, has everything needed for a relaxing soak. Each bathing area includes both indoor and outdoor pools, and they alternate daily between men's and women's use. During my stay, it was never crowded.
One disappointment was being unable to book the in-room dinner service upon morning arrival, as it was apparently too late to arrange. Those interested should probably reserve at least a day in advance.
Overall, it's a comfortable, authentic ryokan experience with superb service and good facilities.
舒舒SHUThe hostel is very close by, right outside the station. The front desk staff are friendly, fluent in English, and will show you around and help you upstairs to your bed. Self-check-in is not available, so please check in before 9 PM! The first floor is a common area with a kitchen, washing machine, shoe cabinet, and seating area. The second floor has a female room, a mixed-gender room, and separate male and female toilets. You must remove your shoes before going upstairs, so the room is very clean! The wooden floors in the room look quite cozy, but they may be a bit old and noisy when walking. You can also hear noise from the next room while sleeping, but free earplugs are provided. There's only one power outlet by the bed, so an extension cord is recommended. The hallway is small, so it's not recommended to bring suitcases; backpacks may have to be placed on the bed. Breakfast is provided: thick toast, various jams, coffee, fresh milk, and cereal. 👍🏻 Luggage storage is free; the front desk staff will arrange for you to store your luggage. 👍🏻
GgujijiIt's a small hotel. There are two old people at the reception. The environment is very friendly and family-friendly. There are few people in the hot spring, so it is very comfortable. There are indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the water temperature is also marked. The experience is good. The breakfast and dinner are also rich, with many varieties and good taste.
GGuest UserThough a bit old, it's very clean. The buffet is generous and the hot springs are comfortable. It's located right across from the bus terminal, and just a few minutes' walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). Great value for money, convenient transportation, and excellent service.
GGuest UserThe location was good and we can park our car in the hotel:s covered car park. It was a great arrangement with snowy weather. The rooms were huge with large sofa and lounge. The bedroom areas were very spacious as well. The in-room Onsen was a great treat. Very spacious for two adults. Relaxing on the Onsen watching the snow flowing down in the beautiful scenery was surely the best experience.
The staff are excellent, very polite and helpful. The food was good and see the chefs: details.
Excellent stay and enjoy all the time there.
