I had a really great stay at this hostel! It’s super close to Jonggak Station, so getting around Seoul was incredibly easy.
The place feels brand new, everything was very clean, modern, and nicely decorated.
I stayed in a Deluxe Twin room, and it was spotless and really comfortable. The common areas were clean and cozy as well.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and they were always happy to help whenever I had questions.
The location honestly couldn’t be better. There are tons of restaurants nearby, so finding something good to eat was never a problem.
Myeongdong and Insadong are within walking distance, which made sightseeing really convenient. Cheonggyecheon Stream is right in front of the hostel, and Boshingak Bell Pavilion is just steps away, so the area feels lively but still relaxing. Transportation was super easy the whole time I was there.
I would definitely stay here again, it’s such a great base for exploring Seoul! 😊!!

I stayed at Hotel Hertz in Seoul and honestly, the location was amazing. The hotel is right in front of Jongno 3-ga Station (Exit 4), which made getting around super easy. There are heaps of restaurants right outside that stay open until midnight, so even if you arrive late, you’ll always find somewhere to eat. There are also lots of convenience stores nearby.
Myeongdong is only about a 15-minute walk, and the famous Ikseon-dong Hanok Village is just a 5-minute walk away. For the price, you really can’t beat this location.
Amenities are pretty basic — only four small towels and two bottles of water were provided. If you need more water, they sell two bottles for $1 at the lobby, and there’s a vending machine where you can buy things like toothbrushes or shavers.
I mainly saw foreign tourists staying here and no Korean guests, so the staff are clearly used to dealing with foreigners. They cleaned the room every day, although I don’t think the duvet cover or pillowcases were changed since the same stain was still there after cleaning.
That said, the room was overall clean, comfortable, and very convenient. One of the best parts was the big bathtub — it was really nice to relax and take a bath every day. The room also came with a hair dryer, hair straightener, and even different types of chargers, which was super helpful.
Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel that’s great value for money!!!

Here's a breakdown of my stay, highlighting the pros and cons:
**The Good:**
* There's a lounge on each floor (or so it seemed) offering complimentary coffee and instant ramen. Laundry facilities, including a washing machine, detergent, and fabric softener, are also available for free use. I didn't personally use them, nor did I see anyone else using them.
* The place was incredibly clean. Oddly enough, there were chairs in the hallway.
* The location is fantastic! There are tons of restaurants nearby, so you'll never be short of dining options. It's also very close to the train station.
* I had a late check-in planned, but the staff communicated with me beforehand via message, which put my mind at ease. After 9 PM, check-in is done via a kiosk.
* I was able to request an extra room key.
* The refrigerator is a good, family-sized one, and the freezer has plenty of space.
* They even provide toothbrushes, which is a rare find these days! Bath towels are also included. You can freely replenish toilet paper and hand towels, and fresh bath towels can be obtained from the front desk.
**The Not-So-Good:**
* I could faintly hear karaoke sounds seeping through the walls, but it didn't bother me personally.
* Because there's a PC center (or similar) and a karaoke establishment in the building, I sometimes had to wait for an elevator, as they were often full.
* The shower drain had a slight odor.
* While the shower and toilet are somewhat separated, they're very close together and the space is extremely cramped. Toilet paper, shampoo, and other items are placed directly above the toilet, so you have to be careful when showering to avoid soaking the toilet paper.
There seem to be frequent complaints about the karaoke noise, and they appear to be taking measures to address it (I've included a photo at the end).
Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again if the opportunity arises.

This is a great hotel right in the heart of the city, close to several metro stations and in the middle of a lively nightlife area. It’s practically across the street from the airport bus stop, which makes it very convenient when traveling with luggage. Despite the central location, it was quiet at night.
The hotel occupies the 4th and 5th floors of the building, with a Thai restaurant on the lower floors. The room was simple but had enough storage space. Since I was staying alone, it felt quite spacious though for two people it might be a bit tight. The only real inconvenience was the shower without an enclosed cabin, but everything dried quickly and there was no musty smell, so it wasn’t a big issue.
Although the hotel is relatively new, some areas already show a bit of wear, but it didn’t affect my stay at all. Everything that mattered was clean and well-maintained. I really liked that guests can help themselves to fresh towels, toilet paper, or bottled water at any time. There’s also a small kitchen area where you can make coffee or instant noodles, as well as washing machines available for use.
Special thanks to the hotel manager. He was very kind and helpful and quickly solved my luggage storage issue. It’s also very convenient that you can contact the hotel through several different messaging apps.
I stayed for six days, and the only minor downside was that the air in the room felt a bit stuffy when returning after a day out (since the air conditioner was off all day), but that was easily fixed by turning it back on.

The room matched the pictures perfectly; it was a bit small but clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. We arrived at night on the first day, and by the second day, we discovered there was plenty to explore around the hotel. It's located near Anguk Station, and from the hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see Jogyesa Temple. Gyeongbokgung Palace is right across the street, diagonally opposite the traffic light from the hotel entrance. There are also many new perfume shops and bakeries nearby. You can search on Xiaohongshu for more details. I even took a photo of the hotel lobby. The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage area, which is very convenient and thoughtful. Many locals stay here too.

Check-in was very convenient, and they could communicate in English, Chinese, and Korean. The front desk staff were all very nice! It was raining, so I even borrowed an umbrella from the hotel. Across from the hotel is a police station (which made me feel quite safe), and there's a convenience store nearby where you can buy a transportation card. There's a bus stop about 100 meters away, and it's also very convenient to take the airport bus. Remember to take bus 6002; I accidentally took 6015 on the way there and had to walk several hundred meters extra. Getting to Myeongdong is super easy, only about a 10-minute bus ride.

Conveniently located in Myeongdong, it's very easy to get around. Myeongdong Street Food Alley is right downstairs, and the subway is also easily accessible. As shown in picture 3, Lotte Duty-Free is just outside the door. The only downside is that the room is a bit small and has no window.

This is my second time staying at Koreana Hotel. We book the apartment style room. The room is spacious and very clean. The location is at Gwanhamun which is very convenient. it is easy to get a taxi outside the hotel. From the airport we just get on a bus (6701) and the bus stop right in front of the hotel. We arrived quite early and inquire if we can check in early and the staff are very helpful. We manage to check in early with a small fee which is not a big problem since we are travelling from the night before and really need to freshen up and take a bit of rest. We did not try the food as we are muslim and need Halal food but there are room service menu that we can order for food from the room. I hope the the hotel will be more upgraded after their refurbishment. Will look forward to the new renovated room. Will definitely come back again

CCaicaiThe highlight this time was how lively and convenient the surrounding area was. A big shout-out to a gentleman at the front desk; his attitude was exceptionally good and he made me feel very welcome. However, compared to my stay at this hotel a year ago, I was quite disappointed this time. Firstly, there's absolutely no need to book a balcony room – it's just a tiny corner, incredibly small, and the balcony room actually felt a bit smaller than a standard room. My next complaint is about the hotel breakfast; it was exactly the same for all four days, with no variety whatsoever. Lastly, the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room were only provided on the first day. Although the room was cleaned afterwards, they were never refilled.
FFengquanThe location is excellent, but the service was disappointing. A few issues worth noting:
1. Entrance Downlight
The entrance downlight automatically turns off after a few seconds. This becomes frustrating when trying to use the mirror, as the light repeatedly switches off and you have to walk toward the sensor each time to reactivate it.
2. Microwave Request
There is no microwave in the room. When we called to request one to heat up food (we were staying on Level 14), the staff asked us to go down to Level 7 (Lobby). After reaching the lobby, we were then told to follow them back up to Level 14 to use a staff lounge microwave. Since they already knew we were calling from Level 14, it would have made more sense to ask us to meet there directly.
3. Additional Toilet Paper Request
On the first day of our Seoul stay, my partner experienced food poisoning after having KBBQ nearby and had diarrhea and vomiting throughout the day. When we requested additional toilet paper, we were told to go down to the lobby to collect it ourselves. This will never happen in Japan.
4. Air Conditioning Issue
The ceiling air conditioning was not functioning. When we called to check, we were told it was no longer operational, and the initial suggestion was to open the window. However, the air quality index was around 300 at the time. A cooling fan was eventually offered, but the initial lack of awareness regarding the air quality was concerning.
Overall, while the location is very convenient, the service standards did not meet expectations.
Attached a picture of the air quality during our stay.
DD24034****The location is excellent, right in the Myeongdong shopping district. The hygiene and environment are great, and the service is very good. They even have staff who speak Chinese. It's only a three to five-minute walk from Myeongdong Subway Station. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Even though it's in a bustling shopping area, it's not noisy at all at night.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers incredible value for money! It's really luxurious and easy to find, located on the side of the building. It's about a seven-minute walk from Dongdaemun or Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, just follow the directions on Naver Maps. There are lots of shops nearby, especially towards Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, but it doesn't feel chaotic; I, as a solo female traveler, felt very safe. On the ground floor, there's a concierge who was very warm and polite, guiding me to the 14th floor for check-in. The lobby on the 14th floor is spacious, with several staff members, including some who speak Chinese. There's also a photo booth and a convenience store in the lobby. The room was huge! And it even had a bathtub! It was spotless, and the entire hotel smelled lovely. The cleaning lady was super cute and pretty, haha. I really enjoyed my stay, but there are two minor drawbacks, in my opinion. Firstly, the hairdryer's airflow was a bit weak, which wasn't very comfortable to use. Secondly, the soundproofing wasn't amazing, but it didn't disturb my sleep, so it was fine overall.
2203782****The room was very clean and offered excellent value for money. I was very satisfied with everything except for the lack of toiletries and disposable slippers. The location is also very convenient, and the soundproofing seems to be good as I didn't hear any noise from the hallway.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is conveniently located near exits 4 and 5 of Seoul Station, which have direct elevators, making it super easy for those with large luggage! The rumors about homeless people near exits 7 and 8 are true, but I didn't encounter any issues, and since those exits only have stairs, I just avoided them entirely. It felt perfectly safe, so no worries there.
The biggest advantage of staying here is its proximity to the Airport Express and train lines. It's just a five-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient! Plus, Seoul Station has a Lotte Mart, so it's perfect for buying lots of groceries and carrying them straight back to your room.
You enter on the first floor and take the elevator directly up to the front desk on the second floor. The restaurant on the first floor has a lovely ambiance, especially in winter. The room itself wasn't large, but anyone who's traveled to Japan or Korea will understand that. Overall, it was clean, tidy, and quiet. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip!
YYengBOur family had a wonderful stay at Sollago Myeongdong Hotel. The room was very spacious and perfect for a family. It had two separate rooms, each with a double bed, plus two single beds in the living room. It fit our family of five very comfortably.
The unit was well equipped with a washer, smart TV, microwave, ref/freezer, and smart bidet, which made our stay easy and stress free—especially for a longer trip.
The location is a big plus. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to the subway and bus stops (Chungmuro), making it very convenient to get around Seoul. There is also a convenience store right downstairs, and many local Korean restaurants nearby, so food was never a problem.
Btw, it’s a self check-in/out hotel. Very modern indeed!
Overall, this hotel is a great choice for families who want space, comfort, and easy access to transport. We would gladly stay here again.
GGuest UserEven though there was a language barrier, the gentleman at the front desk was very diligent in using a few Chinese words to confirm our check-in and explain what was complimentary, which was really nice. The cleaning staff also helped clear out our trash daily. We, four people, stayed in one room for five days, and it was excellent value for money. The transportation was also convenient. I highly recommend it for those on a budget! ❤️
Ssurie wanLocated very close to famous myeongdong street. Very close to bus stop and myeondong teain station. Easy if use aiport limousine bus from incheon bcause the stop just 80 m from entrance. A list of halal restaurant nearby for muslm travellers for exmple mari meokja just infrom hotel, kampung ku and busan jib around 300 m from hotel and many more. Other attraction are within walking distance The staff were kind enough to let us chexk in 1 hr earlier. Room is spacious and clean. Can see namsan tower from the room
__WeChat287538****I got a free upgrade to a four-person room, which was quite spacious. They offer free luggage storage. If you arrive late, you don't have to worry because they'll leave your room card there for you to pick up. However, if you're concerned about your belongings, you might want to buy a lock at Daiso, as they don't provide one!
