The location is exceptional, with easy access to the Haram, which greatly enhanced my Umrah experience. I’ve stayed four days and enjoyed the daily bus service to Haram it was 24/7 days, the receptionists are professional and approachable.
The room service was friendly and supportive. The room was mid clean not immaculate but it was nice, the TV was working well.
The fridge is not cooling very much but its fine.

Fantastic hotel. Extremely clean (and fragrant lobby). We had a twin deluxe room with Haram view; spacious, comfortable and plush. Breakfast was also solid with good hours (6:00 to 10:30). We checked out on a Friday and they allowed us to check out after Jummah salah.
The hotel is actually quite close to the Haram. From reviews online I was unsure, but in practice it's a few minutes walk to King Fahd Gate 79. For getting into the Haram I think it is quicker door-to-door than the Clock Tower hotels. For getting back from the Haram to the hotel, that is a bit longer depending on where you exit the masjid anddue to a slight uphill walk (nothing very demanding, non-elderly should be fine), though the walkway gets congested at busy times.
Alternatively, there is a shuttle which takes you from the main hotel entrance to street level in less than 2 minutes; from there you take escalator/lift to the Haram.
Would highly reccommend; only cons here would be no lotion in the bathroom and shower water pressure/temperature was not that high (very minor issues!)

Samiul Hassan, a wonderful gentleman and bellman assisted us when we arrived with our belongings and luggage’s. Once entering our room, it was Deja Vu. Back to Voco for our stay and so good to be back in Makkah *************!

Jumeirah Hotel was excellent in terms of facilities — everything is new, clean, and well-maintained. Credit where it’s due: the staff were genuinely outstanding, extremely attentive, and always eager to help. Service level is easily one of the best.
Location-wise, it’s around a 4–6 minute walk to Al Haram, which is acceptable. However, let’s be real — compared to the Clock Tower hotels, they are noticeably closer and more convenient, especially during peak prayer times.
Now, about the “Partial Haram View” — this needs honesty. We booked two Deluxe Rooms with Partial Haram View, but the view is technically there… if you really look for it 😅. The Haram is barely visible, and most of the view is dominated by unfinished construction. You’ll spend more time spotting the Haram than enjoying it.
Bottom line:
Excellent hotel, top-tier service, great facilities — but don’t book it expecting a meaningful Haram view. If proximity and view matter, Clock Tower hotels still win.

Everyone was incredibly helpful and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. The baggage storage process was remarkably straightforward and completely hassle‑free. The receptionist was exceptionally polite, answered all my questions with patience, and handled my check‑in exactly when I needed it.
The designated prayer space was a thoughtful and much‑appreciated bonus that truly enhanced my stay.
I required assistance at one point, and the service employee not only kept his word but responded promptly and professionally, coming up to check the room without delay.
Overall, my stay genuinely exceeded my expectations. The level of care, efficiency, and warmth shown by the staff made the experience truly outstanding.

Very good hotel with comfortable amenities, but it is not within walking distance to Al Haram in Makkah. A shuttle bus is available, which helps with transportation.
The staff experience was mixed — the male front desk team could benefit from significant customer service training, as their approach felt a bit aggressive and lacked warmth. In contrast, the female staff members were much more professional and caring. I especially want to highlight a lady in niqab who assisted us with booking a car from the hotel to the train station. She went above and beyond, refusing to leave after her shift had ended and staying to ensure we secured the car on time. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but she was truly outstanding!
One disappointment was with the connected rooms — unlike the photos, they did not feature king beds. Instead, we received four single beds (two in each room), which was not ideal for a small family.
Overall, it was a good stay, but the hotel should improve cleanliness and maintenance. Despite being a relatively new property, it was clear that facilities management and housekeeping standards could be much better.

AAulia BimoOverall the hotel staff & receptionist services was very great. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with the Majlis Restaurant & Cafe Staff services. They force us as the guest of the Raffles for any order with specific minimum order and payment, even though the time we visit is around 9.30 pm (local time), after the dinner.
Please take the act as appropriate for any staff that not provide good service and humble to the Hotel Guest.

GGuest UserExtremely Disappointing Stay at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah (Oct 27–30, 2025)
We had our reservation at Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah through Trip.com, and our overall experience was very disappointing and far below the standards expected from a five-star hotel.
At check-in, the front desk took more than 30 minutes to provide our room keys. Staff kept going back and forth to the back office without explanation. When we finally received our keys and went to the room, the keys did not work.
A cleaning staff member nearby tried to help but informed us he was not authorized to open guest rooms. He attempted to use his master key, but it also didn’t work. We had specifically booked a Kaaba-view room so we could pray from our room, but because of this delay, we missed our Asar prayer .
A few minutes later, a female management staff member came out of the same room while it was locked from the inside. She explained that she was inspecting the room and that it was not supposed to be assigned to guests due to a broken fridge cabinet door.
I asked why the front desk had given us keys to a room that was not ready or suitable for guests. We were then told that no other Kaaba-view rooms were available at that time. This conversation took so long that I also missed my Maghrib prayer.
To compensate, the management offered us three nights of complimentary dinner; however, we do not eat dinner, and our breakfasts were already included in the room rate that we paid for. I specifically requested a refund or adjustment to the room rate instead of meals, but they refused, which was completely unreasonable given the circumstances.
On our last day, the management spent a considerable amount of time trying to persuade me not to leave a review, which delayed our checkout. Because of this, we missed our flight and had to purchase another ticket.
I have photos taken at the time, with GPS date and time stamps, showing the staff involved. Management threatened me to delete the photos, claiming it was against regulations, so I have blurred faces for privacy.
This experience was unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Rather than offering dinners we couldn’t use, the hotel should have provided a partial refund or proper compensation for the inconvenience, sleepless nights, and spiritual disturbance we experienced.
Based on this, I do not recommend Swissôtel Al Maqam Makkah, especially for those looking for comfort, honesty, and peace of mind during their stay in Makkah.

GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The location is very good, and the lifts are less crowded because the hotel has fewer rooms compared to other Clock Tower hotels like Ghufran, Swissotel, and Al Maqam.
However, we had a few issues. The shower and basin had drainage problems, and we had to wait for the water to drain. One of the beds was broken in the middle. My son was sleeping on it, but we noticed it only on the last day. The hotel should have checked this before giving us the room.
Another big issue was taxi drop-off and pickup. Taxis drop guests at Pullman Zamzam or Swissotel Al Maqam on the lower ground. You would need to call hotel to send someone to pick you which required you to travel quite long and come out of clock tower abd the enter the hotel.
When I booked a taxi to Madinah, there was confusion about where the taxi would come. The taxi was not allowed to enter the Pullman Zamzam area, and security stopped it. Finally, the bellboy took us down to the main road to catch the taxi. This was difficult, especially with large luggage. Because of this hassle, I would think twice before booking this hotel again if I need to come with bags.
I would like to say thank you to the housekeeping staff, Abo Tayeb, who was very helpful and managed many things for us.

The shuttle service to masjidilharam is perfect, but the gate under clock tower most times are closed, unlike before. So we have to divert to jabal umar area before arriving the outdoor courtyard.
