Hands down, this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Thailand! It's incredibly affordable, and we even got a free upgrade to a pool access room. The rooms are luxuriously decorated and come with a fridge. The staff were absolutely amazing – they immediately helped us with our luggage upon arrival, offered complimentary drinks, and even helped us cross the street when we went out. Plus, it's super close to the beach. I'll definitely be booking this hotel again on my next trip!

This was the last hotel on our Thailand trip. Due to limited room availability when booking, we ended up booking three different room types for three consecutive nights. On the first day of check-in, we proactively communicated with the hotel, hoping to consolidate our stay into one room for all three nights, even if it was the cheapest room type. The hotel stated that subsequent rooms were fully booked and couldn't be adjusted, which we understood, and we cooperated with all check-in procedures as requested.
**I. Hotel Advantages**
* **Spacious Rooms:** The rooms were generously sized and offered ample space, making for a comfortable stay.
* **Cleanliness:** Basic room hygiene was good; the overall cleanliness was satisfactory.
* **Quiet Location:** Situated on a hillside, the hotel offered a quiet environment with good views and natural surroundings.
**II. Issues Encountered During Our Stay**
1. **Inconsistent Check-in Process and Excessive Waiting Time:**
On our second day, we checked out promptly at 12:00 PM and waited in the lobby for the 2:00 PM check-in time. During the two-hour wait, several groups of foreign guests arrived, and the hotel processed their check-ins immediately, without requiring them to wait until the designated time.
However, we had to wait until after 2:00 PM to be processed, making us the last group of waiting guests to check in that day. We ended up waiting in the lobby for nearly three hours. As paying guests, the difference in treatment was stark and made us feel very uncomfortable.
2. **Unreasonable Room Assignment and Dishonest Front Desk Communication:**
After check-in, the hotel assigned us a connecting room, which shared a connecting door with the adjacent room. The lack of privacy and security was unacceptable. We requested a change at the front desk, and they explicitly stated, ”There are no other vacant rooms; this is the last one.”
However, after we communicated with the hotel through the platform's customer service, they quickly provided another clean, non-connecting room. This clearly indicated that there were indeed other rooms available and that the front desk was not actively addressing our concerns, possibly even trying to evade responsibility.
By the time we checked out and finally settled into a suitable room, it was already 3:00 PM. Half a day of our itinerary was wasted on hotel check-in issues, significantly impacting our travel experience.
During the communication, the hotel even asked us to move all our luggage to the lobby and wait another 1-2 hours. The weather was hot that day, and we hadn't showered or rested since morning, making the entire ordeal very unpleasant.
3. **Contrasting Service Attitude Before and After Complaint:**
After we raised our concerns, on the third day, the hotel proactively prepared our room in advance and had staff deliver the room key directly to our room, eliminating the need to go to the front desk.
This efficient and convenient service could have been provided on the second day but was only offered after we expressed dissatisfaction. This suggests a lack of proactive service awareness and a less-than-genuine approach to problem-solving from the hotel.
**III. [CRITICAL] Severe Water Quality Issues Affecting Health:**
This hotel was the only one on our trip with severe water quality problems.
Opening the tap revealed a faint smell of rotten eggs, indicating clearly poor water quality.
After washing our faces with tap water, both my travel companion and I experienced redness, small rashes, and itchiness, which did not occur at any other hotel in Thailand.
As this water is used for daily washing and showering, such unstable water quality not only affects the experience but also raises concerns about hygiene and safety.
**IV. Inconvenient Transportation:**
The hotel is located on a relatively steep hillside. It takes at least 10 minutes to walk to the flat main road, making it inconvenient to access convenience stores, restaurants, and transportation. This is not very friendly for independent travelers.

This hotel is situated at one far end of Karon beach, and is literally right on the beach! We loved the super quiet location although it's a short walk out to the shops if you want to buy anything. The beach on this side was clean, not quiet but not as crowded as Patong or Kata either. We liked the quiet of it all, away from the bustle, after having spent 3 days in Kata. We booked a Deluxe Room but ended up asking to be upgraded (at a fee) to a ground level pool side room. It was the best decision ever! We stayed at Room 101 and while it was next to the ”road”, it was very quiet. We loved that we could hang out on the beach all day and pop back to the room for the toilet easily, or for more cold water or snacks. We also ordered food and coffee via Grab app and our room made it easy to come out and pick up very quickly, and we can see the grab riders coming with our food too. The staff were nice but they don't speak English well so some patience is needed. There's a cute kitty cat at the hotel, and she(?) loves cuddles and is friendly and doesn't mind being carried. Housekeeping was neat and efficient and we always had fresh towels and a clean room after a day out.
The hotel is a bit dated, very reminiscent of old beach hotels we used to go to while growing up. It's well kept and lovely, and we enjoyed our stay very much. It is true that the water smells a little bit but just leave the shower running for a while and the smell goes away.
Aircon was cold enough, and if I had to pick on something, I wish the curtains were blackout! Personal preference tho.
Thanks to the team for a great stay.

The hotel has a great location, very close to Karon and Kata Beach, which makes it easy to enjoy the area. Service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and professional. During check-in, the staff clearly explained the rules and information in a way that was easy to understand, which gave a very good first impression.
Cleanliness and comfort were both very good, making the stay pleasant and relaxing. The hotel also provides parking in the basement with direct access to the lift, which is very convenient.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. It combines a great location with very good service and comfort.

Awesome hostel! The best! The air conditioning works, there's a fridge, a microwave, and it's not stuffy in the bunk. The beach is nearby, the bus stop is nearby, 7-11 is nearby, everything is close. With such affordable hostels and service in Phuket, you can vacation on a shoestring budget.

Beautiful, relaxing place. The villa is Thai style, very spacious and cozy. The natural light coming from the roof in a bathroom is impressive. The pool has bubbles and is very clean. The food is delicious.
Location not that great considering a big, smelly lake has to be passed to approach the beach.
Be careful with stairs in a bedroom, we both fell down at night. 😭

I'll start with the most important point for me, the biggest downside of this hotel is the lack of sound insulation. You can hear all the neighbors through the walls, and the bars nearby play very loud music until 4 AM. It feels like you’re sitting right next to a speaker it's complete madness! We stayed for 4 nights, and there were concerts at the bars every other day.
On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, the pool is clean, and the breakfasts are good. There is a restaurant on the hotel premises that serves delicious food; I highly recommend it. The massage services available at the hotel are also great!”

Surprisingly decent hotel. I chose it randomly and was positively surprised how comfortable this hotel is. The staff is friendly and helpful speaking good English. As a bonus you get an access to a beautiful swimming pool and sauna. The rooms are clean and contain a safe. A great chose for this price.

In general, we recommend the hotel.
A good entrance group, focused on comfort and pleasant leisure. Even books)
To the sea 900m 15 minutes, to the Bansan market also, and Bangla street, Ceylon supermarket.
The hotel has 6 floors of residential, elevator. The pool is cleaned. The linen is quite clean. Choose a room before and upon arrival. Look at the floor in the reservation to match the view in the photo.
There were small details, in terms of moving from the noisy side (room 201 is not recommended), but thanks to Trip, who helped, and we felt protected, we had a great time. Patong is basically a noisy village) Therefore, this hotel, compared to the area, is wonderful.
I want to note the friendliness of the staff.

The room was very mediocre, like something you'd find for 100 RMB in China. The toilet's placement was awkward, right next to the sink, so you had to stand to the side to wash your face. I booked a balcony room, but it was just a 60-70cm wide strip with a road right outside – a total rip-off.
The highlights of this hotel are the excellent rooftop pool and its fantastic location. It's only a few hundred meters' walk to Patong Beach, and there are plenty of restaurants and 7-Elevens nearby.
The downside: It's incredibly noisy. Maybe it's my first time staying in Patong, but the motorcycles and tuk-tuks outside roared all night long; it felt like they were right next to my ear. I had to ask for earplugs the second night, which helped me get through it.
If you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. But if you sleep soundly and enjoy the lively atmosphere, then this hotel might be for you.

Great
GGuest UserI believe it used to be a Six Senses resort. It's located on an island, just a five-minute speedboat ride away. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. The hotel truly embraces its natural environment, so be prepared to encounter wildlife like centipedes, insects, snakes, monkeys, and various small birds. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to completely unwind and relax at the property. However, the food variety at the hotel is somewhat limited, and there are virtually no other dining options on the island. Despite these points, it's still a great place overall.
DDonドニMy first time staying at a deck dorm style. The manager was willing to come, and did check in for me in the middle of the night. Do the 200 Baht refundable deposit. Give me the towel. Informed me to the rule of no sandal/shoes at 2nd floor to maintain the floor kept clean.
That is all you can see.
Nice room, chill, no noise in the room, and other ”I am sleeping” rules.
If you have an issue of not using sandals in the bathroom, then honestly you just need a hotel with a private room. Yeah, upper deck was scary. I dreamt of falling down 😪
Well, deck dorm style is not just for me. But a good experience here, and with 217 Baht (including tax) I paid, it is worth the money.
This hotel provides breakfast too. Something I don't really expect 😁😁
They also give me a key gift over a checkout. For sure, I get my 200 Baht back.
AAnonymous UserThe resort isn't very big, a rectangular area, and the villa section takes up a significant portion, so there's limited space for activities. BUT! There's a beautiful, uncrowded beach, haha! The coastline is very long, which is a huge plus.
The rooms seem to have been renovated; they're a mix of new and old. For instance, some of the bathroom fixtures are clearly old, but the doors, windows, and furniture look new. At the very least, the grout and wall seams have been redone and look pristine. The air conditioning is incredibly efficient, and the room is well-insulated – even after being out with the power off for half the day, it's still chilly when you come back in. The room provides a clothes drying rack on the balcony for dripping wet clothes and swimsuits, which is a thoughtful touch.
However, the BBQ buffet dinner, which costs over 2000 THB per person, doesn't include any basic beverages, only water. The BBQ items are so few you can count them on one finger, non-BBQ items on another finger, and desserts/fruits on a third finger. There were only two or three seafood options. My child is sensitive, so after removing what they couldn't eat, spicy dishes, and disliked flavors, there was almost nothing left! Can you believe we couldn't find two dishes they'd dare to eat from the entire buffet?
The breakfast selection is much richer than the dinner buffet, and it's only a quarter of the price... but the dishes were exactly the same every day. After two days, we started missing 7-Eleven. This isn't some isolated island with supply difficulties; would it be so hard to come up with more rotating menus? Please offer more variety for guests staying multiple nights.
PPhytheasThe room was clean, and the staff proved to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. My primary suggestion for improvement concerns the manual keys currently in use; upgrading to a modern key card system would significantly enhance convenience and security for guests. That single aspect notwithstanding, this is a great hotel and recommended.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Graceland Phuket and would happily return. The resort is beautifully maintained, with large pools, direct beach access, and a relaxed atmosphere that still feels close to the action in Patong.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with daily housekeeping that was always reliable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to any requests we had.
BBozhi5XThis hotel is excellent; every time I visit Phuket, I stay here. It's a Banyan Tree branded apartment-hotel, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. You can dine at the hotel or cook your own meals in the room, which is very convenient! This was my first time back since the pandemic, and I feel like the Laguna complex (where the hotel is located) and the town outside have improved significantly. There are many more restaurants, bars, and cafes, and a large new shopping mall has been built. The area is filled with European and American guests, offering global cuisine plus a vibrant Thai nightlife – truly an ideal holiday destination! Coming in December, the weather is particularly comfortable, not hot in the mornings or evenings; it's probably the best season in Thailand. Laguna, the largest resort in Asia, features 12 Banyan Tree branded hotels, all connected by a lagoon. Ferry boats can transport guests from one hotel to another's private beach, as well as to other hotels, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful views of the Andaman Sea, and access various hotel restaurants, spas, and golf courses. The most important thing is the exceptional sense of safety and peace of mind guests experience!
XXiangyoubianzhongguodeJerryZExploring Southeast Asian Hotels: Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort
My wife, son, and I stayed at Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort for four nights during this year's National Day holiday in Phuket. It was a very comfortable experience, and we even got room upgrades almost every night. The hotel is right on the beach, which is lovely, although getting around outside the resort can be a bit inconvenient. However, spending the whole day relaxing at the hotel was incredibly enjoyable.
MMi8heelAmenities were pretty old, toilet seats were 🤢.
Daily cleaning service wont clean well. They just recharge supplements and change beddings.
We booked 1 king size bed, but they gave 2 separate beds. Saying they only have this room because we checked in around 11 pm.
XXiaolian2019We actually stayed here for five consecutive days! It was a very pleasant stay, and I really wanted to write more! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The owner is Chinese and has been consistently upgrading the linens. The service was attentive; one night, our Indian neighbors were on a loud call at 2:30 AM, and the owner, contacted via WeChat, promptly resolved the issue! The guesthouse environment is very comfortable, with squirrels, cats 🐱, and other small animals! The sea is right outside the door, as is a local night market! The food stalls at the entrance are also affordable and delicious 😋! I loved it! And for only two to three hundred during peak season, the price is unbeatable!!
MMrV12341234LOVED our stay here and would recommend the place to others. See my below pros and cons.
Pros:
-the staff was very friendly. They all worked very hard to make sure the guests are happy.
-The food was delicious (especially the curry’s). Everything is good except maybe some of the western things like the hamburgers. Stick with the Thai dishes. The breakfast buffet was slightly above average.
-The rooms were very clean. No bugs.
-They provided us a very nice crib for our nine month old
-we never once heard our neighbors, or any guests, through the walls.
-The ac worked great.
-There is a free shuttle to old town Phuket each day (but see cons below on this).
You can use the Bolt or Grab app to call a taxi. This is much cheaper than the on site taxi.
-Free ride to and from the local beach (it’s not realistic to walk there because the road is too steep).
-The beach is very quiet compared to most beaches in Phuket. There is a bar at the beach that serves all kinds of drinks.
There are free beach chairs for you. If they are all taken the staff has large picnic mats for you to use (see below for negatives about the beach)
-beach area has a small children’s playground. One of those plastic castle style climb / slide things. There is also two small football (soccer) goals and a volleyball net.
-the beach is really nice in its own way. The sand and water is not as beautiful as other Phuket beaches, especially those on the west side, but the views of the nearby islands make it very serene and something the west side beaches don’t have. If you’re not coming to snorkel and see fish, it’s a good beach. There is also lots of shade if needed.
-you get one free kayak rental per stay
-The sheets in the room were changed every day and were very clean and comfortable
-The hot water was really hot and never ran out.
-our room had a mini fridge that worked great and had a little freezer section.
-The pool is very clean, cool, and relaxing. You can order drinks right in the pool
-The upper pool has an amazing view of the Thai islands. Make sure to get to the pool early (8-9am) and secure a chair or two if you plan to have a pool day.
-speaking of the view, because you’re on the east side, there are many islands in the distance, making the view’s spectacular. The west side beaches you’re looking out into open ocean. Here you see mountains and hills in the distance.
Cons:
-they give your room 2 water bottles each day, but you’re stuck at the resort unless you hire a taxi. So we had to continually buy water from the desk or restaurant until we went out to the 7-11 (I recommend stopping at a convenience store on your taxi ride to the resort and stock up on water, drinks, snacks etc that you enjoy)
-you have to get a taxi everywhere, even to a convenience store.
-There is a small store on site that sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs, cigarettes, etc. but it was never open. We got really frustrated because our 9 month old uses water for his formula and we simply couldn’t get enough water, so we had to repeatedly ask to use the store and then a worker finally came and let us buy some water.
-Our room did not have electric outlets next to the bed (could be a pro for some?). Actually, there was only one outlet in the room that was reasonably accessible to charge phones. (Plug outlets are multi purpose, had USA & Europe holes)
-The snorkeling is terrible at the Supalai beach. Very murky and cloudy water (The tides are rather extreme here, hundreds of feet of shore line exposed), leaving a muddy/marsh like area at the beach each evening. We even did a day trip over to Naka Yai island and Nahka noi island and the snorkeling was also pointless because the water is so cloudy. If you plan to snorkel don’t stay in the east side. But if you just want to side by the shore, relax, and get in for a quick dip… the beach is ok.
-No cloths line In Room to hang wet clothes / beach towels
-the free shuttle into town only seats 11 people so you need to r
