"I'm quite satisfied with my stay. When I booked, I was simply looking for a place close by because I was attending a concert like a 'special forces' tourist and wouldn't be staying for many hours. I still carefully chose the Hilton, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Whenever I had a request, they were very quick to respond. My friend and I were both well taken care of. We even received a parting gift when we left. Harbin is truly wonderful, I'll definitely come again next time! ~~~"

Looking out over the Songhua River, the Shangri-la Hotel Harbin (Ha'erbin Xianggelila Dafandian) is one of the few Western five-star hotels in Harbin. The Russian architecture of pedestrian street Central Avenue (Zhongyang Dajie) and tourist attraction Sun Island are just a 10-15 minute drive away.The hotel has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It is only 45 minutes and 20 minutes away from the Taiping International Airport and the railway station, and only 5 minutes away from the Shanghai Street Station of Metro Line 3.Views from river-facing windows take in the lights of Harbin's frozen structures on the opposite side of the river during the Harbin Snow and Ice Festival in January. The hotel's luxury guestrooms offer free broadband Internet access and Wi-Fi as well as other amenities like satellite TVs and goose down pillows. Non-smoking rooms are also available.The restaurants and cafes of this Harbin hotel offer international, Cantonese and Heilongjiang cuisines. Vegetarian dishes are available in all dining outlets. "It's been a while since I last stayed at a Shangri-La hotel. This time in Harbin, I chose it because it's convenient for self-driving with ample parking, and its location is good for getting around. I booked a river view room, and the Songhua River night view was absolutely beautiful. The service was pretty standard. They asked for a 500 deposit for the minibar, saying I might consume items. I told them that as a Ctrip VIP advanced member, I've traveled all over China and never had to pay a deposit. What era are we in? If they're worried about guests consuming items, they could just remove those few cans of Coke and Sprite. The hotel room was small and the facilities were old, probably due to its age. But surely the service could be improved? This is a major reason why several international big-brand hotels in China are losing market share to other chain brands. They really need a wake-up call."

"This hotel deserves more than a five-star rating! Let's start with the location: it's nestled in a side alley right off Central Street, a mere minute's walk to the main thoroughfare. The Hongzhuan Morning Market is only three minutes away. How convenient is that?
Cleanliness: Spotless! We were staying with a young child, so we moved the sofa next to the bed to prevent falls, and there wasn't a speck of dust underneath, which shows how thoroughly they clean. The bedding was dry and pristine, the bathroom had no odors, the drains worked perfectly, and even the nooks and crannies were dust-free.
Facilities: Not brand new, but very well-maintained. The coffee machine was a nice and convenient touch.
Service: The service was arguably the best part – incredibly heartwarming. They called us the day before our arrival. We got there quite early, and although our room wasn't ready, they kindly stored our luggage. Around 10 AM, they called to let us know the room was cleaned and ready for check-in. The next day, our child had online classes until 1 PM, and they graciously granted us a late check-out. The gentleman at the entrance actively helped with our luggage and greeted us warmly every time we passed. Great service truly lies in these small details, offering friendly assistance within arm's reach. That was really impressive."

"Having stayed at numerous five-star hotels, I'd like to review this one. While it's rated five-star, it really feels more like a four-star property with three-star service. Regarding the public areas' physical conditions: the parking lot is tiny and very cramped. Even after identifying myself as a guest, the attendant at the entrance initially claimed there were no spaces available, which was frustrating despite eventually getting parked. The hotel lobby is small, and I noticed water stains everywhere, making it feel less than sparkling. My room wasn't serviced during my two-night stay. I'd suggest implementing more standardized and procedural management."

"Had a wonderful stay here. I chose this hotel because I was traveling with two kids and needed a room near Central Street that could comfortably accommodate four people. Their sofa bed + king bed combination was absolutely perfect. The little one and I slept on the 2.4m super king bed (which was actually two 1.2m beds pushed together, but the seam wasn't noticeable), while the older child slept on the 1.6m sofa bed. The hotel's location is super convenient; Central Street and the Songhua River are just around the corner downstairs. The decor is also very elegant, not dated at all. The hotel lobby is on the 25th floor, offering great views. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they were very responsive to our needs. The concierge downstairs was proactive and friendly, and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating to requests, especially noticing we had children. Overall, a very pleasant experience."

"My stay at the Olookuya Hyatt Centric Harbin was truly a perfect experience, far exceeding my expectations. The hotel's unique forest tribe theme design is refreshing, with its wooden decor exuding a premium feel. Taking the express elevator directly from the underground parking garage to the sky lobby on the 42nd floor, the stunning panoramic views of the Songhua River immediately took my breath away.
What touched me the most was Sally, our butler at the executive lounge! Her service was absolutely impeccable. From her warm greeting during check-in to her meticulous care throughout our stay, every detail made us feel incredibly welcome. Whether patiently answering our questions or proactively assisting, Sally demonstrated exceptional professionalism and friendliness. She not only showcased the high quality of Hyatt Centric but also made us feel completely at home.
The hotel facilities are equally outstanding, from the L'Occitane toiletries to the spacious and comfortable room, and the abundant breakfast – all reflecting the hotel's genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Sally's thoughtful service made this trip to Harbin even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Harbin!"
