Luxury Hotels in Kyoto

We chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service! Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

The most delightful accommodation during my trip to Kyoto was undoubtedly Kyoto Ei-Kamo-i. From its location and room views to its amenities and attentive service, it completely exceeded my expectations, unlocking a truly wonderful slow-paced Kyoto travel experience. The location is incredibly convenient. From Kyoto's bustling Shijo district, it's just two subway limited express stops and three semi-express stops to Demachiyanagi Station. Exiting from Exit 3, crossing the bridge over the Kamo River, it's a leisurely four-minute walk to the hotel. A tranquil retreat away from the city's hustle and bustle yet still easily accessible – its location is a huge plus. What truly captivated me was the room layout and views. The rooms were incredibly spacious, open, and airy. The living room directly faced the stunning Kamo River scenery, with two massive sliding glass walls that allowed you to immerse yourself in nature. A gentle breeze, the fresh scent of greenery, and unobstructed views – every step revealed a picturesque vista. The hotel's amenities were high-end and comprehensive, creating a truly homey atmosphere. Equipped with a large island counter, induction cooker, microwave, and washer-dryer combo, it's incredibly convenient for daily living and simple cooking. It also boasts sophisticated amenities like a coffee machine, milk frother, and Bose speakers, showing attention to detail. Completely devoid of the cramped feeling of a typical hotel, it felt like staying at home in a foreign land, incredibly relaxing. The gentle, soothing scenery of the Kamo River outside the window added a touch of charm, prompting us to change our travel plans and forgo the rush of sightseeing. We spent the whole day relaxing at home, brewing tea and coffee, quietly enjoying afternoon tea, immersing ourselves in the laid-back, leisurely pace of Kyoto life – truly therapeutic and comforting. Furthermore, the hotel's attentive service deserves special mention; it was a huge plus. On our late arrival night, around 8 PM, the weather was slightly chilly, and staff members Leo and Xiao Du were waiting patiently at the hotel entrance, instantly making us feel warm and welcome. Many of the staff were Chinese, ensuring seamless communication and prompt responses; they truly catered to our every need, providing meticulous and heartwarming service. Overall, the stay was perfect. The view was stunning, the room was spacious, the facilities were complete, the transportation was convenient, and the service was attentive. During my trip to Kyoto, I was able to avoid the crowds and enjoy a leisurely vacation. I will definitely choose Ei-Kamo Residence again next time, where I can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Kamo River.

Our experience at Six Senses Kyoto was truly wonderful. As a new hotel opened in 2024, it exudes an elegant Japanese Zen style, and the public courtyard is particularly photogenic. The room was spacious enough at 42 square meters, and the attention to detail was impeccable. The breakfast selection was rich, offering both local Kyoto flavors and Western options, and the quality of the food was excellent. Its location isn't far from Gion and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The only slight downside is that it's a bit of a distance from the subway, so I'd recommend taking a taxi for getting around. The service was meticulous and attentive, making for a very relaxing stay overall, perfect for those looking to slow down and enjoy a holiday.

We stayed at Cuilan when we just got married 10 years ago, which left us with very good memories. We revisited the place 10 years later. Thank you for the special arrangements that were full of surprises and love. Whether it was accommodation or meals, everything was exquisite and elegant!
