YYigexihuanzhenshidianpingdeyonghuI didn't take any photos this time. First, let me talk about the facilities: I forgot to check for a bathtub, assuming there would be one. It's my own fault for not checking. The sink and shower were fine, no major problems.
Cleanliness: The walls upstairs in my room were black, but the grout lines were peeling off, making it difficult to place anything on them and leaving black residue. This wasn't a good experience.
Environment: The environment was okay, but it's located in an area full of guesthouses. I recommend renting an electric bike; riding one in the evening is incredibly relaxing.
Service: The service was impeccable, deserving a 5-star rating.
The downside: One bad thing was the swimming pool! We've taken our child to Sanya dozens of times and never had an ear infection from swimming, but here, one time we had to go home to see a doctor. The doctor said it was from swimming; something got in. Looking back, I don't know why the pool water in Beihai is salty—was it just seawater? Sanya's pools use disinfectant additives, which I suspect this one didn't.

GGuest UserI was very happy during my stay. The service provided by the girl in a sweatshirt at the front desk was super perfect. She helped us book a car to watch whales, and was very careful to help us with invoices and luggage. The guy at the front desk also taught us how to use the air conditioner and stereo. The facilities in the room were also very complete, but the toilet seat was leaking. There were no other problems. The service of the auntie who delivered the food was average. After cleaning the room, she did not replenish the toothpaste, toothbrush and other toiletries. She also kept knocking on the door when delivering the food. We responded and asked to wait a moment (she responded three times), but the auntie still kept knocking on the door, so this aspect was still a bit lacking. The breakfast food was very good! My boyfriend and I both like it very much and will recommend it to our friends in the future [grin]

GGuest UserThe room is very clean, very warm, large space, tatami bed children like it, sleep very comfortable. There is a convenience store next to it, and there is a vegetable store that is very convenient for shopping. The boss is enthusiastic and will arrange a pick-up and drop-off from the pier. The seafood is also delicious. The hammock in the yard is very comfortable, the sea breeze is blowing, refreshing, and will recommend friends to live.

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

GGuest UserThe boss was very considerate and turned on the air conditioner for us in advance. As soon as we arrived at the B&B, he came to help us with our suitcases. He was very enthusiastic. The TV in the room won't turn on, come and help immediately. Very satisfied. It was just that the weather was cool this time, so it was a pity that I couldn't swim. The swimming pool in the B&B is also great. It is very close to Silver Beach. We go to the beach to play every day after waking up. The children are very happy.

GGuest UserFirst off, I have to say that the Sheraton Beihai is the absolute top hotel in Beihai. I especially want to give a shout-out to Ella and Cathy, who are front desk staff and akin to hotel butlers. Their service is professional yet warm, making you feel incredibly comfortable.
This trip was with my girlfriend, and as soon as we entered the hotel, we were captivated by the massive glass wall in the lobby, offering an uninterrupted view of the endless, azure sea. The hotel is located within the National Forest Park, a location unparalleled by any other hotel. It truly offers ocean-front rooms. Our room was large and spacious, with luxurious, elegant, and comfortable decor, featuring a wonderful coastal design and numerous thoughtful details. The most impressive aspect, though, was the attitude of the staff. Everyone at the hotel had an excellent demeanor – that's the charm of the Marriott brand, and I believe this Sheraton embodies it perfectly.
Downstairs, there's the hotel's private beach, which is uncrowded and beautiful. The accompanying Sunset Restaurant also has a fantastic ambiance. Listening to music with the sea breeze, enjoying a drink while watching the sunset against the backdrop of Guantouling Beach is simply blissful.
Despite being on a hill, the hotel's location makes it convenient to get anywhere. There are staff at the entrance who help with luggage and open/close doors, which is an excellent touch. Even ordering late-night takeout was super fast.
I also want to praise the hotel breakfast – it was incredibly delicious! You absolutely *must* try the hotel's noodles; they have a unique flavor.
From my personal experience, if you're planning a vacation or holiday in Beihai, the Sheraton is definitely the best choice. Whether it's the location, environment, service, experience, facilities, luxury, cleanliness, or the sense of privacy and seclusion, I honestly believe it's absolutely outstanding!

GGuest UserI booked the Caiwei room, which was quite good in all aspects. I went there during the off-season, and I was satisfied with the price. The boss was easy to talk to, and it was quite close to Beihai Silver Beach. Other reviews said there were mosquitoes, and there were indeed, but I turned on the air conditioner and lit mosquito coils, so I was not bothered by mosquitoes when I slept.
