Amazing
GgoldkidJust a five-minute walk from Sendai Station, this hotel boasts charming, traditional architecture. The top-floor public bath is particularly amazing, and the breakfast offers a great variety. I absolutely recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Sendai.
GGuest UserWe booked this stay very last minute as we needed to stay a night due to flight diversion. But it turn out to be the best stay we have for the whole trip! The room was spacious and comfy. The bathroom was clean. The lounge area was stocked with different amenities you may need for your stay, some light snacks and even a play area for kids. Furthermore, I had some issues that I has to settle through phone and they kindly borrowed me a phone at the reception. I would stay at their chain again!
Cch.bWe stay here for two consective years and the main reason is their breakfast buffet which is not a huge line but they had every local famous items to offer, one of the best breakfast with variety of local choices for guest to enjoy with proper menu rotation. Easy access from Sendai station, walking distance to Sendai Station, Bus stop, Aeon supermarket, Montbell shop, lots of nearby local restaurants, family mart and 7-11. coffee capsule machine available at lobby from afternoon time onward.
OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel staff were incredibly helpful, and even the cleaning team offered warm greetings, creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. The amenities were plentiful, and above all, the room was spotlessly clean. What truly impressed me was that the room came fully equipped with ReFa brand essentials: a straightener, curling iron, hairdryer, and even a ReFa shower head – it was absolutely fantastic! The excellent location was another huge plus, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which was incredibly convenient.
GGuest UserThis Dormy Inn is by far the best one we've stayed at in Japan! The room felt slightly larger than the standard Dormy Inn basic room types, and the highlight was definitely the multiple outdoor onsen baths available (usually there's just one). It was fantastic to try out all the different ones in rotation. The service was also excellent. The only downside is the location, which is a bit out of the way, situated between Sendai city center and Matsushima Coast (a 25-minute walk from JR Nakano-sakae Station, or a 5-minute taxi ride costing around 1000 JPY). Other than that, there are no flaws, and the Ctrip group purchase price was an absolute steal. Plus, the Kirin Beer Factory is right next door, so if you have time, you can book a tour.
GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly attentive. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was so quiet with excellent natural light. The large bathroom was a real plus – very comfortable! Thank you. I'd love to come back and stay for a few more days next time. The location is super convenient, right next to Sendai Station.
GGuest UserFree soba and hot onsen on night really appetizing during winter. Full facilities such as laundry, free ice cream, and enjoy comic lounge. Breakfast like a local. Surely would come again in the next trip⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
GGuest UserLocation was far from Train station - hence need a free shuttle bus from Sendai station to go in. Kind of challenging to book and confirm the shuttle arrangement but got it done after few clarifications. Hotel itself is near Akiu Sato centre which is good
Hotel is big but quite old looking, room spacious , good onsen.
very good dinner buffet with snow crabs daily. Buffet breakfast limited spread but OK
Problem is other main attractions are far and need to take bus/taxi.
The Akiu traditional craft village/park was a big disappointment with no visitors and only few shops opened. Not worth going at all

Very Good
GGuest UserI forgot to take photos, but overall the room was incredibly cramped, barely fitting two small beds. However, the management was very well-organized. The mattresses were comfortable, and the cotton sheets were clean, hygienic, and soft against the skin. I stayed for four days, and the bedding was changed daily. Bottled water was also provided. This was the best sleep I had during my entire trip to Japan.
