"We have booked a corner room which is very spacious. The hot spring with a massage pool is just amazing. Hotel staff could speak English which is a plus for our stay. Location is only 5 minutes’ walk opposite the station. Four nights’ stay only cost us around A$850.-. It is value for money! Will come back again !"

"Absolutely loved this onsen hotel! They have both private and public hot springs, and all the amenities you could need. The room was huge and very clean, though the air conditioning only had low, medium, and high settings and no precise temperature control. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style, with great flavors and a local touch. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Sendai Station. I had trouble booking the shuttle online for my departure, but when I asked again at check-in, they kindly and enthusiastically found an available spot for me. The staff were so friendly and helpful!"

The open-air wind is near Guangxi and Sichuan, so that the soup is not a leisurely feeling. The indoor bath is spacious and luxurious, the bright large glass window can enjoy the snow scene, and the warm bathrobe coat is comfortable and beautiful. One berth and two meals for dinner and breakfast are buffets, fresh ingredients are simple and delicious. A variety of handmade coffee, tea, wine and snacks are provided in the lobby lounge area. You can enjoy the scenery outside the window and enjoy the scenery. It is not boring to spend the whole day in the hotel. It is a hot spring accommodation hotel worth visiting.

GGuest UserThis was a last-minute trip to Tohoku and Hokkaido. Since I was staying in Sendai for the last few days and wanted to enjoy breakfast, dinner, and onsen (hot springs) at a nearby hotel, I decided to visit Akiu Onsen, which I hadn't been to before.
The hotel thoughtfully provided a shuttle bus between Sendai Station and the hotel, which was very convenient.
The front desk service was excellent. The onsen area was large, and the dinner was very good (including any extra meals I purchased).
The breakfast was relatively disappointing; there weren't any particularly appealing dishes, and the quality was just average.
Although I always chose to bathe and soak in the public bath, I also used the bathroom in my room, and my family members weren't used to going to the public bath. However, the problem was that even when I adjusted the temperature to over 50 degrees Celsius, the water temperature in the room's bathroom was only between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, and adjusting it further didn't change anything. I wonder if there's something wrong with that.
In conclusion, for a hotel with a normal temperature, I believe there are other better options in the Akiu Onsen area.

OOctavian234VVery nice hostel in a good location near train station..Have an Onsen, microwave, hot water, a place to sit down and eat or working at your floor..not have a fridge.
I came too early, because of my train from Tokyo (around 1.30 pm) and i need to wait until 3 pm for check in. Beds ready, clean ready...but need to waiting the check in time..and it'fair isn't. The only problem was they start check in process 5-7 mins before 3 pm and they was very slowly and not professional...my time for check in it was 3.15 pm if not more...one of the last check in there. And this happened especialy because one disrespectful girl, she was determined to delay the proceedings—even more than others already had. Ugly and disrespectful attitude, make me lose time everytime..she had and fun about this when i explain her i not appreciateher jokes.
She, as well as all the others, either doesn't know how to speak English or doesn't want to... just simple words, like ”key.”
I expected more from one hotel (or hostel) in Japan.
I was disappointed with the choice of this hostel.
It is very difficult to find the hotel without help, as its name is written only in Japanese. The bed is very hard; it feels like sitting or sleeping on a wooden plank.

GGuest UserI've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease.
This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I always chose plans with breakfast and dinner.)
This kind of stay is also very reasonable, and given the reliable service, I'll continue to choose Rantei for all my future visits to Akiu Onsen, rather than trying other inns.
Having just turned 60, I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to visit...

GGuest UserWe had a lovely time at this hotel. The lobby is beautiful and creates a wonderful first impression. One of the best perks is the complimentary shuttle bus from Sendai; it’s very convenient and only takes about 30–45 minutes, making the hotel feel quite accessible.
We really enjoyed the facilities, especially the four onsen baths (two for each gender) and the ping pong room, which was a fun addition to our stay.
The only area for improvement would be the dinner buffet. Compared to typical Japanese onsen standards, the variety felt a bit limited. While the steak and crab were highlights, we were hoping for a slightly more luxurious selection, such as ikura or a wider array of seafood, especially for those who might not eat beef or crab.
Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for a short, relaxing break. We left feeling refreshed!

Large towels are provided in the women's bath for guests to walk to the open-air hot spring. A bonfire is prepared next to the hot spring to increase the atmosphere. After the hot spring, guests can enjoy a massage chair in the women's bath locker room. The only drawback is that the one-night stay with two meals package booked on trip.com does not include the option of dinner. I was envious when I saw other guests enjoying high-end cuisine.

GGuest UserThe first self-driving tour, I chose Akiba because it is very close to the center of Sendai in about half an hour, and you can enjoy the hot springs and natural landscapes.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, very close to the entrance, the front desk staff of the morning shift night shift service attitude is good, take the initiative to explain the check-in matters and greet us.
Very satisfied with this experience! The room is clean and comfortable, the facilities are complete, the breakfast is very rich, very Japanese style, there are staple food and desserts, the price is very high ～ I will choose here next time, I highly recommend it to friends who are ready to travel.
It should be the reason for the off-season that the whole hotel does not have many tourists, there are also locals, and the public and private style is also steeped in the parking location.
