It's located in a quiet area near Sigiriya... You can walk to Sigiriya and Pidurangala in less than 30 minutes. The owner, Danu, his wife, and his parents were very welcoming, and the simple yet delicious food was impressive. A family of monkeys and squirrels in the trees right in front of the room kept us entertained. However, it's a bit disappointing that there are no restaurants or shops nearby.

Just a short walk from the bus stop, this gem of a guesthouse is hands down the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special. His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay.

The forest cabin is awesome, a completely different experience, a bit similar to the lame building, one person lives on two floors, don't be too cool, the night pillow wind and rain listen to the insects and birds sing, comfortable 10086++ hotel side worried that I would be afraid, repeatedly confirmed whether to change the room, the service is very considerate! In the evening, I also participated in the night visit to the jungle to explore Loris. It was fun and exciting. It was so interesting!

Great place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.

The lake next to the property is beautiful and the owner is really accommodating - he escorted me to the lookout as it is dangerous to go out by yourself in the evening and early morning because of the elephants that may wander through the area. Both him and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Sigiriya. The room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. You are in nature, so if you don’t mind a couple of little frog friends in the bathroom, and you are a bird enthusiast, then this is the place for you.

We stayed here two nights to enjoy the two main attractions of the area. The boys are very available and the manager is a nice young man who can do it! The location is very quiet even though not very far from the rooms. In general, we were satisfied with our stay at the hotel despite the heavy rains. The attention of the staff is felt.When you check in - a drink, and the room is waiting for a fruit plate, which is very pleasant. Beautiful large area, with a classy pool,pleasant rooms. In the room, a separate shower and a separate toilet. Beds are not very comfortable and pillows.No blanket,just a bed.Most of the roses in the old-fashioned room,they are not suitable for the crossovers. Food:Dinner and breakfast-Swedish table.Choice is good,not all delicious,but you can find something to eat and not stay hungry.We had dinner included-he on the menu.It was provided on the day of departure,because on the day of arrival we didn't have time.The dinner was very much liked, restaurant dishes, good servings. Still satisfied. Excellent price-quality ratio. Separate thanks to the manager of SAMALKA for solving all questions and a memorable gift for the end!

Convenient location, 15 minutes to the main attractions of Sigiriya. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, delicious breakfast with a view of the rock. The price is great, we recommend. Thank you!)

Thank you for a great stay. The staff were amazing and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast and conversation learning about the area from the staff. The location is excellent as it's close to attractions and food. We definitely recommend it.
