DDans travelGreat hotel right on Alona beach, far enough away from the noise but close enough to walk to the restaurants and bars. Stayed in a beach view room, was large and clean with the best beach view of any hotel I’ve stayed in. The sky infinity pool felt like the pool joined to the ocean. Also one of the best rooftop pools of any hotel I’ve stayed in and with the attached pool bar a great place to enjoy a cocktail or beer in the pool while watching the sunset. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only areas of note that could be improved, the bath towels were of lower quality than I would have expected in a hotel of this level and the coffee at breakfast was terrible, luckily the room had a Nespresso machine.

GGuest UserWow - Super hotel. Best hotel I have visited in years. Staff polite, efficient and attentive in a polite way. Room was very large, with some free mini cookies and a few free juices. Food and drinks reasonable. Breakfast had a great range of food. The steak at the restaurant was super They even notified breakfast group I could not take milk. Lots of couples but as a solo traveller felt cared about. From start to finish flawless. Even twice a week one hour of free cocktails. When it rains the staff already start wiping down tables and once eases gardeners are out sweeping the leaves off the pathways to help maintain its beautiful appearance. Seriously impressed

BBarneysLocation is a bit far from Alona Beach, but the resort offers free shuttle services at fixed times (9AM, 12PM, 3PM, 6PM, and 9PM), which is very convenient. The room was clean and spacious. We were initially assigned a room with connecting doors, so we could hear noise from the adjacent room. After showing a video of the issue, the staff kindly accommodated our request for a room change. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, the other room we booked wasn’t ready by 3PM, so we had to wait about 30 minutes. They allowed us a late check-out though, which we really appreciated. Overall, a pleasant stay and great value for the price. Recommended.

GGuest UserFor the pros, the service was pretty decent where the owners were very friendly to my family and they were always striving to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The location was very ideal as it's very close to Alona Beach (probably 500m walk from the inn) and also shopping and dining options. The breakfast provided was quite wholesome and yummy too, with rice, eggs, corned beef being the regulars and occasionally stir-fried noodles, dried fish, ham and sausages were provided as well.
For the cons, I found the room facilities quite basic despite booking the deluxe room. We were expecting at least a bar fridge in our room but none were there; we had to use fridge in the communal dining area to store some of our leftover food. There was also an occasional pungent odour in the bathroom when the shower tap is turned on. We also had a huge cockroach coming out from a hole in the bathroom which escaped through the gap at the front door. The communal pool water is also murky for most of our stay and was only cleaned towards the end of our stay, when we decided to use it.
Overall, quite an ok stay for the price.

WWThe hotel is ideal for Balicasag itineraries or some of the diving itinerary. It is also nice if your activities is on this side of the island
The review knocks location if you are staying longer because Alona beach. The more popular area is quite far. The restaurants and other spots are on that side of the island. The hotel does provide a one-way shuttle to get there.
The rooms are big but the toilet and shower only have frosted doors. It can get awkward with friends or colleagues. There is also No TV in the room. The internet is fast though.

Cons:
-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
