AA-DWe arrived at the hotel around 19:30, and the staff were accommodating upon check-in. The room was surprisingly spacious, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, the downside of our stay was the food.
For example, we ordered beef kare kare, but the meat was not tender and had more fat than actual meat. The truffle pasta, served with garlic bread, was gummy and chewy. It seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave, since bread usually takes on that texture when microwaved. The same issue applied to the salad, which also came with garlic bread that was chewy instead of crispy.
Their crispy pork laing was disappointing as well. The taro leaves were minced too finely, which made the texture mushy rather than tender and layered, as laing should be. The pan-fried fish was dry, leaving us unsure whether it had been reheated or simply overcooked.
Since the price is on the higher side, we expected better quality and consistency in the food. Unfortunately, the dishes did not meet that standard, which made the dining experience less satisfying despite the spacious room and accommodating staff.
Overall, while the room and staff were commendable, the food quality needs significant improvement. A little more attention to preparation and freshness would make the dining experience match the comfort of the accommodations.

GGuest UserThis residence is so clean and has beautiful garden place. I was satisfied with all kind staffs being helpful without any inconvenience. The water quality of public pool was also clean, so it was good for swimming. I would like to visit again and recommend to people who want to be relexed in private place :)

GGuest UserConveniently located close enough to Alona beach to easily access all the restaurants, beaches, shops etc by scooter or tuktuk but also far away enough to not constantly be bothered by loud motors, tons of roosters and all that other noise.
Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with safe, fridge, hair dryer and plenty of racks and hooks to hang and dry your clothes. There's also an outdoor gym area and the pool is big and good for swimming. Plus the wifi is very stable and great for working remotely.
Service is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is good too.

The staff were very friendly and polite. We arrived after the check-in desk had closed, but I contacted reception via WhatsApp, and they left the keys with the security guard.
The pool is quite spacious, though not very deep. Relaxing by it after diving was really enjoyable.
The only downside for me was the blanket being too warm and the A/C blowing directly on the bed, making it tricky to find a comfortable setup for both.
WiFi worked well near the pool, on the balcony, and in the living room, but not on the bed. However, that wasn’t a big issue for us.

GGuest UserI had such a great experience at Coastal View Hotel! The stay was relaxing, comfortable, and everything I could ask for during my trip to Bohol. The rooms were clean and cozy, with a lovely view, and the location was super convenient.
But what truly made my stay special were the amazing staff — Gerald and Junjun were absolutely the best! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, always greeting us with genuine warmth and a smile. They were kind, helpful, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They are truly the heart of the hotel.
If you’re looking for a place with not just great facilities but also outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Coastal View Hotel. I’d love to come back again!

RRara MomijiWe stayed for 10 nights in a Standard Double Room located in the West Wing. The room was very clean and well-kept, with daily housekeeping and a very comfortable bed. Air-conditioning and lighting were just right, making the room ideal for rest or work. Wi-Fi was 90% stable, with only occasional drops.
The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to Alona Beach and close to shops and dining options. The hotel has a pool and a “Chada” restaurant that serves some of the most delicious food we had in Bohol.
One thing to note is that the building has no elevator, which can be inconvenient if you’re traveling with large suitcases like we were. Fortunately, the staff were incredibly helpful and assisted us with our luggage during check-in and check-out. That level of service really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Everyone on staff was friendly, approachable, and attentive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and overall, the property felt well-managed.
For the price we paid, this was excellent value for money. I’d happily recommend it to others—especially if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and great food without breaking the bank.

When we checked in, the hallway was flooded because of the heavy rain, but they resolved it quickly. The free breakfast was okay, but overall, I can say that it's not worth the price because their rates are higher compared to other resorts.”

PPieter CresswellThis is a mixed review as at first it was terrible. I selected the resort for my birthday the room I got the shower and toilet seat were broken. There was no hot water and the room was very small. The restaurant food wasn't good, neither were the drinks. I complained bitterly and was upgraded to a deluxe room which was far superior. I recommend only to choose a deluxe room as the others are old and too compact.
