"This hotel is an absolute gem! It's just a few minutes' drive from the airport. We only stayed for one night as a layover, but we were really impressed. The beach is right across the road; while the sand quality isn't as good as Karon or Kata, it's perfectly fine for kids to play and dig. The hotel has a tranquil atmosphere with many towering banyan trees, giving it a real vacation vibe as you walk around. There's also a children's pool that's big enough for kids to enjoy. Right next to the hotel, you'll find a 7-Eleven, massage shops, a supermarket, and a pharmacy, and there are plenty of convenient dining options. If you're coming for a proper vacation, I wouldn't recommend the room type I stayed in, as it's by a small road and can be a bit noisy with passing motorbikes. Instead, booking a room in the middle of the hotel would be excellent and really enhance the holiday feel. The downsides are still the poor water quality, so a filtered shower head is needed, the pool is a bit small, and there are quite a few mosquitoes, so definitely bring plenty of insect repellent. Recommended!"

"We recently spent a wonderful few days at Kalima Resort and had an exceptionally pleasant experience. The service truly stands out. We were able to check in around 1 PM, even though the official check-in time was 3 PM, which was a very welcome relief after our journey. All the hotel staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. You can feel the high level of service and a genuine desire to make guests' stays comfortable. The breakfasts here are simply magnificent – some of the best we've had in Thailand. There's a huge selection of dishes to suit every taste: a variety of pastries, a chocolate fountain, Nutella and peanut butter, several types of meat, fish, sushi rolls, chicken shawarma, and much more. Everything is beautifully presented, and the dishes are constantly replenished; nothing runs out, even closer to the end of breakfast service. We stayed in a sea-view room, and this view was the highlight of our stay at the hotel. The panorama is so breathtaking that it feels like you're on an observation deck with a nearly 240-degree view. The glass balconies and floor-to-ceiling panoramic doors allow you to enjoy the sea even without leaving your room. The room itself is very cozy and pleasant, and the hotel grounds are well-maintained, green, and very photogenic. The pool is nice and comfortable, although the stunning views remained the main draw of the hotel for us. The location is also good: if you're traveling by scooter or car, you can reach Patong in just a few minutes. Walking isn't very convenient, but this wasn't a drawback for us. Kalima Resort left us with very fond memories. It's a place we'd love to return to for the amazing views, excellent service, and truly luxurious breakfasts."

"Coconut Village Resort is quite good in terms of both location and cleanliness. It's close to the beach. There's also a 7-Eleven store outside the hotel. Bangla Market is 1 km away. I'm a little disappointed with the management because I booked two rooms about a month and a half ago. I had two children with me, but they gave us separate rooms. According to the booking, they should have reserved the adjacent room for me.Rooms 110 and 113 are both in the same direction and a short walk down the stairs. I requested a room as well, but they said there were no rooms available. So it's the management's fault."

"Highly, highly recommend! Absolutely love this type of comfortable, 'lie-flat' resort. Stayed for three nights and slept wonderfully every night. Highly recommend the rooms with direct pool access. When it's super hot outside, you can just pop out the back door into the pool and chill – it's incredibly refreshing. The breakfast was fantastic, with different options every day for the three days. Loved the banana pancakes and pasta, and the milk tea was also amazing!"

"Facilities: This was our first time bringing our child to Phuket. We initially booked The Emerald in Karon, but then I read reviews saying that while it was new, the pool felt a bit cramped between the two buildings. So, I checked out more reviews and decisively switched to the established Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, which has a more resort-like vibe! It boasts a super large pool water park, and there's even a dedicated children's area with a small water slide 🛝 for toddlers, which is fantastic! Cleanliness: As an older five-star hotel, the decor is a bit dated, so the rooms feel a little old, but overall cleanliness is quite good. There were no issues with small animals or anything like that, unlike some online reviews suggested. Environment: As always, I've attached pictures; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Service: The front desk service was excellent. We booked island hopping tours daily, and they picked us up at the front desk each day. On the first day, I was unfamiliar with the area and worried about finding the driver, so a staff member proactively helped us check our itinerary and contacted the driver via phone to clarify things in Thai! Thumbs up! One more thing I absolutely must mention: The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort's location is arguably the most convenient in the Karon area. Right outside, there's a small commercial street with massage parlors, fruit stalls, Thai food, and seafood – everything you could want! Plus, turn right out of the hotel and walk just 30 meters, and you're at the stunning Karon Beach in minutes. There's also a 🚌 bus stop right outside that goes to Phuket Town, which is much more convenient than Centara Karon Resort Phuket!"

"A fabulous hotel, incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. If you want to spend your vacation like a fairy tale in a palace surrounded by greenery, this is your choice. My wife and I are absolutely delighted with this hotel. Besides the gorgeous exterior of the grounds, there's also a really great pool and excellent breakfasts. We had a room with pool access, and that was a special kind of pleasure, being able to fully relax without leaving the room 😅 In the evening, the lights come on, and the hotel becomes even more beautiful, incredibly stunning, words can't describe it. The staff are also top-notch; everyone is kind and friendly and helps with any question. In short, for me, this is the coolest and most atmospheric hotel in Phuket, if not the whole world 😅 My rating is 10 out of 10; even other 5-star hotels aren't as impressive as this one. I will definitely come back here again and recommend it to others."

"The location is perfect if you’re someone who enjoys Patong—right next to Bangla Road, yet you can still sleep peacefully without any noise. Personally, I disliked everything else about Patong: overpriced, overcrowded, noisy, and full of all sorts of unpleasant characters from every nationality. The only good thing about Patong was this hotel. The lady at the reception is definitely not rude—she’s an absolute sweetheart. This place is very underrated, and I recommend it to everyone."

"Much better than I expected! It doesn't have that old, dated feel that some older hotels do. The area right outside the hotel is very lively and bustling. I stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, and I could even see the sea! The surroundings are vibrant but not too noisy. Kata Beach is just a short walk away, where I even learned to surf. The hotel environment is excellent, very clean, and the service attitude is fantastic!"

"The hotel has an excellent location, with everything nearby: the sea is just across the road, where you'll also find a 7/11 to grab all your beach essentials. There are surf schools on the beach, so you can always take lessons. The sun loungers are shared and come with a fee. On the same street, you can unwind at a nearby spa salon (clean, tidy, pleasant interior, prices are standard but it's very comfortable). The hotel offers a good variety of breakfast options, and in the evenings, there are buffet dinners for an extra charge (everything is delicious) by the pool, which we also really enjoyed. No one was checked in before 2 PM. During check-in, we were assigned rooms in building 4 (which has the best balcony views), but those rooms weren't ready, so we were moved to building 6 (sea and pool view, but with a large tree in the middle, though it makes for beautiful photos at dusk). Housekeeping on that day seemed rushed to get us settled quickly, which wasn't ideal, but on all subsequent days, the cleaning was excellent! The staff were friendly and always ready to help. We had a great time!"
