We really enjoyed our stay here. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, and it was lovely to relax there after a day out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Kevin kindly helped us book Phi-phi island trip through the hotel, for which we also received a 10% discount. Everyone was genuinely keen to assist whenever we needed anything. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again!

The room was great, and the front desk staff were all very polite. The rooftop pool also offered nice views. It's about a 10-minute walk to the shopping mall, which is acceptable. Overall, it was a good stay.

My stay at this hotel was wonderful, and this is my sixth time staying here. The place is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the service is excellent. All the staff were cooperative and friendly. I would like to extend my thanks to all the staff in general, and specifically to Ms. Cha for her high professionalism, kindness, and her constant eagerness to help with a smile. She was quick to respond to my requests and made my stay more comfortable and exceptional. I thank her for her excellent attention, and I will be returning to the hotel again on July 27th, thanks to the excellent level of service.

This was our second time staying at this hotel in August 2026, and we were once again very satisfied! The location is excellent – it's quiet within the hotel, yet close to both Bangla Road and the shopping mall. The cleaning is thorough and done daily. Breakfasts are diverse, offering chicken, beef, sometimes fish, two types of soup every day, potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables, fruits, omelets, and more. The staff is friendly and tries to help with everything. At reception, Bow checked us in and, as per our request, gave us a room on the very top floor with a mountain view (view shown in the photo). This hotel truly lives up to its reputation among Chinese travelers. I booked a direct pool access room and, before arriving, I was worried about insects on the ground floor, even bringing insect repellent. To my surprise, I didn't see a single bug. The bathroom was a bit dated, not as bright and new-looking as in the pictures. Breakfast was mostly Western fare. As for service, the cleaning staff on the first day were excellent, but on the second and third days, it was a different person who seemed grumpy. The biggest downside is the poor soundproofing. Every night around 11 PM, staff would push what sounded like a cleaning cart up and down the first floor, making a huge racket. Everything else was good; I didn't experience any discrimination, and they proactively helped with luggage. The location was also convenient.

Terrible experience – outdated, poor maintenance, and terrible service I would strictly not recommend staying at this hotel, and I will definitely not be coming back. Here are the main issues I encountered during my stay: Outdated & Poorly Maintained: The hotel is extremely old and urgently needs a complete renovation. Most of the tiles in the swimming pool area were covered in algae. Room & AC Issues: I had to change rooms three times just to get an AC that actually worked properly. In all three rooms, the TVs could not connect to the internet, so you couldn't use YouTube or any streaming services. Unhelpful Maintenance: The maintenance staff clearly don't know how to fix basic issues. When I complained about the AC, they simply turned it off and on again and told me to ”wait 10 minutes.” Bathroom & Lighting Problems: Half of the lights in the room were burned out and didn't work. The light inside the closet stayed on all night, even with the closet door fully closed. In the bathroom, the shower head was leaking water continuously from the handle. Unfair Charges & Upgrades: They charged me extra money for a room upgrade, but didn't actually have a good room available at that level. They ended up putting me on the 2nd floor instead, and refused to refund the price difference for the upgrade I paid for. Useless Customer Service: Staff members kept asking ”How is your stay?” and if I had any feedback. Every time I listed these issues, nothing was solved—except for changing a few lightbulbs. The only positive note: The green areas inside the property are nice, and the location is close to the beach. Otherwise, it was a completely disappointing experience and not worth the money at all. There is a lot of options in Phuket don't waste your vacation here

We stayed here for five nights and I'm so glad I chose this resort. There are three resorts on the island, each with a beach, but Banraya has the most atmospheric resort vibe due to its unique landscape. Every corner is picturesque, and it feels more interesting than the other two resorts. The beach in front of The Racha is the most beautiful on the island, but if we had stayed there, we definitely wouldn't have explored other beaches, and we would have missed out on Banraya's stunning scenery. I'm so glad I picked this place. We could walk to The Racha's beach or other beaches, it only took about ten minutes. We could also add the front desk's WeChat to have them send a motorbike to pick us up anytime for a very cheap price of 50 baht. Of course, you could also rent a motorbike for 500 baht a day. Regarding hygiene, I think it was decent. The bedding was clean. Every day after check-out, the staff even dried the pillows outdoors for a few hours. As for facilities, it definitely can't compare to The Racha. After all, this is an outlying island. Hotels on the main island of Phuket certainly have much better facilities, but that's understandable. At night, peacocks would call outside our window, which was very entertaining. Sometimes they even strolled right in front of our room. The restaurant service was truly excellent. The young man at the restaurant front desk spoke very good Chinese and seemed to be well-versed in Chinese etiquette and hospitality. He was always very enthusiastic whenever we went, and the other staff were also very friendly. I am very satisfied and feel I made the best choice. After five days here, I felt very relaxed and happy! As an additional note, we also visited several islands near Phuket, and the water at Racha Island was the most beautiful. I really recommend staying on Racha Island for a few days.

The hotel is nice, secluded: there’s nothing much around it, which can be a good or a bad thing. I loved the private sandy beach, now it’s high season, and yet there were maximum 10 people at a time. So it feels all for yourself. I got upgraded and stayed in a little house with private pool and exit to the beach. Thanks for that. BUT there were 3 things I didn’t like: 1. noise, I don’t know, probably air conditioning or pool cleaning machine of A NEIGHBOR HOUSE, not even mine. In my room the AC and the fridge were also loud, but I turned them off. Yet I could not turn off the neighbor’s ones. At night it was hard to sleep because of that sound. 2. the pool cleaning — mine didn’t have that. The water there is still , was not changes next day, and I am not sure if was changed before I arrived 🤷♀️ In the neighbor pool I can see the water is always floats and changes, in mine not. 3. Every time I bought something and wanted to pay with my card, I had to go to reception. Every meal, every cocktail. That was disturbing. It was my last day of my holiday and I was short on cash. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to pay by card, I could do it. But every time I had to climb 7 staircases to do it.

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.          

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has. The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot. The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting. By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle. Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊 Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.
