Five-star review! Visited the architectural wonder of the world – the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland. My entire stay far exceeded expectations, with every detail meticulously handled. I have to give a special shout-out to my dedicated one-on-one butler, Alisa! We connected on WeChat, and she was incredibly responsive to every request. She even arranged a complimentary cake and desserts for our anniversary, and decorated the bed, showing such thoughtfulness and care. Coincidentally, she was the very butler my best friend recommended to me – talk about fate! I've already booked my next trip with her for next week, and she's helping me plan everything, even trying to save me some money, haha. Upon arrival this time, I opted for a paid upgrade to the Garnet Executive Scenic Room. Honestly, the price did sting a bit, but the room's view was absolutely unparalleled. The balcony offers direct views of the quarry cliff face and a panoramic view of the waterfall. During the day, you can admire the texture of the mine pit rocks, and at night, without even leaving your room, you can enjoy the breathtaking 'Shan Hai Jing' themed cliffside light show. The viewing angle is superb, and the ambiance is incredible. Every photo I took looked amazing, perfectly showcasing the unique architectural beauty 88 meters below ground.

I always bring my kids here for a couple of days during summer vacation. They love both the outdoor pool and the Squirrel Paradise (they're getting older, though, so next year it probably won't be as interesting for them). Ordering takeout is convenient, with many shops nearby. This year we had bad luck with the weather; it rained and thundered, so we could only play until the afternoon. The outdoor pool wasn't open the next day because of two days of rain, and the water quality wasn't good, so it needed to be disinfected. We could only use the indoor pool. Our room had an unpleasant smell, but the front desk handled it immediately. We'll see if we can come back for another day or two at the end of August to make up for the lost day of fun.

Honestly, you can still feel its five-star roots. Even though it's been open for 20 years, the service quality remains high. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the solid wood furniture still gives it a touch of quality, and you can tell it's well-maintained. The restaurant is relatively good, offering both Chinese and Western dishes, and the food is fresh. The hotel's location is excellent; it was very convenient for me to get to the First People's Hospital. There's also a commercial street nearby for shopping, and taxis and public transport are readily available. Overall, this stay offered good value for money, and the price wasn't expensive.

To let my granddaughter experience traditional Chinese culture—dragon boat racing—I specifically booked a scenic room at Songjiang Sijing Huhua Mingdu Hotel in advance. The service and professionalism of Qiuqiu at the front desk and the two beautiful assistant managers in the lobby were absolutely superb 👍👍. I sincerely want to thank these two ladies so much 🙏🙏. If it weren't for the assistant manager and Qiuqiu, my first stay at Huhua Mingdu would have been quite unpleasant: 1. On June 19th, we ordered Chinese food at the Xiyan Restaurant at 11:50 AM. After going up and down to check four or five times, and my granddaughter crying from hunger, the food finally arrived at 1:40 PM after much anticipation. My granddaughter was already half-asleep. For a dragon boat event, the hotel's capacity is limited, and they should have anticipated this in advance and informed guests! Lesson learned this time: I won't be joining in on the 'fun' again!

The reason I love Aman is because it offers more than just a hotel stay. The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful scenery of the trees and the profound meaning behind the Yangyun Heritage, which was created by someone a thousand years ago who strived to preserve them. It made me want to stay there indefinitely. ❤️ The outdoor bathtub in the room's courtyard felt charming even in the rainy weather, and the interior was clean and tidy. I especially appreciate the hospitality of Jeremy Wang and the smiles and kindness of the staff whenever we met. It made my stay very comfortable and relaxing! I highly recommend visiting the Le Wu restaurant. While many dishes are spicy, the spice isn't overpowering, making it enjoyable for Koreans. The complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch, and the daily Chinese traditional culture and art classes at Nanshufang were fantastic – I particularly enjoyed the calligraphy session! There are also bikes available, which are great for exploring the park outside. I couldn't do all the activities, and 24 hours simply wasn't enough time. ㅠㅠ

This is beyond one of the best hotels in the world, it is one of those rare places that reminds you what human creativity, culture, and hospitality can become when they are pursued with both excellence and soul. The greatest compliment I can give is this: I left not only impressed by the hotel, but deeply curious about the people who built it. I travel the world looking for places that make me feel wow! Not because they are luxurious or extravagant, but because somewhere along the way, someone had the courage, the vision, the sensitivity, the craftsmanship, the patience, and the extraordinary attention to detail to create something that truly nourishes the soul. This is one of those places. This hotel is one of those very rare places. Every corner made me wonder, who dreamed this into existence? Who imagined transforming a more than 500-year-old residence connected to generations of Chinese scholars into an experience that honors history while feeling completely alive today? Nothing here feels accidental. The architecture itself is breathtaking, but what stayed with me was the feeling of being continuously surprised. It began with the warm welcome at the front desk, where September made me feel genuinely cared for from the very first moment. It continued as I entered my room and discovered its elegance, together with thoughtful welcome treats that immediately communicated generosity rather than hospitality as a procedure. The came the music presentation and the lantern show and guided visit of the mansion. Unbelievably stunning. Then I visited the library, where I happily spent time immersed in the atmosphere. The restaurant, where every meal felt intentional. The beautiful auspicious pastry. The meaningful gifts inspired by the Imperial Examination tradition, including the writing wishes, which I absolutely loved as someone who has always been passionate about learning. And the surprises kept unfolding. The breakfast setting itself was another unforgettable discovery. Just steps away sits one of the most extraordinary museums I have ever visited, a museum that preserves the ancient roots of Shanghai and China while presenting them in a way that feels engaging for children, adults, and lifelong learners alike. And at the end, the photo session organized by the hotel became an unforgettable memory. I had a truly top notch experience with an amazing team of make up and photography. The result was 141 amazingly beautiful photos, I wish I could keep each one of them! Of course, the fundamentals were impeccable: outstanding service, spotless cleanliness, delicious food, and genuine hospitality throughout my stay. But what makes this place exceptional goes far beyond excellence. It is the feeling that every experience has been carefully curated by people who deeply understand that true luxury is not excess, it is creating moments of wonder. Thank you to September the housekeeper and the hotel team for their kindness, their care and attention made me feel welcome every moment. Guangfulin Prime Ministrer Mansion is now part of my most magical places around the world!

The hotel was very thoughtful with its special tips for the Gaokao (college entrance exam), and even gave a bouquet of flowers wishing 'victory at one stroke' 💐. The room felt great, and the service was good and polite. They even gave a cute little hand cream. The breakfast was good, much better than the Holiday Inn in Songjiang, where I stayed for a day before switching here. I just forgot to grab a freshly ground coffee!

The room features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering excellent natural light and an expansive view. During the day, natural light fills the entire room, making it bright enough without needing to turn on the lights. The view outside the window is unobstructed and clear, and you can even catch a soft sunset in the evening. The layout is well-designed, with a sofa by the window perfect for enjoying the scenery. The hotel's surroundings are also lovely, with plenty of greenery. The lobby is spacious and bright, and they offer complimentary tea and biscuits. The front desk staff were all very polite, and both check-in and check-out were handled quickly. Overall, a fantastic experience, definitely five stars!

I chose this hotel near a scenic spot for my business trip. On the first day, I was assigned a room on what they called the first floor, which was very dark. I asked to switch rooms, especially since there were basic twin rooms available on floors 1-3. The two women at the front desk that day were just okay, especially since one of them assigned me to a room that was both far away and unsatisfactory. Then I discovered I'd overpaid through Trip.com! It was several hundred yuan more expensive than other agency portals listed on Amap. I could have booked a room with breakfast included for 699 yuan a day in advance. But when I booked through Trip.com in advance, that 699 yuan package option wasn't even available, and the general price was higher than on Amap. I ended up paying over 900 yuan for a room without breakfast and was forced to take an unnecessary photo. Trip.com only had these impractical options. I later upgraded to a room with a balcony. The room type they were originally going to give me on the first day felt like a basement! What truly stood out were the two male staff members who were on duty when I returned to the hotel at night, Alex and his colleague. Both of them were waiting for guests at the main entrance every evening, showing real dedication to service. Honestly, Alex was the only one in the entire hotel who had the five-star service attitude one would expect. Everyone else was just okay; perhaps hotels that are more business-oriented have higher service standards. In any case, Alex flexibly accommodated my subsequent requests within his authority. So, I paid for the second night myself, and I had a very long, quiet sleep. I haven't slept that well in a long time. If I didn't have to leave in the afternoon, I would have loved to sleep through this rainy day. I also participated in an activity where you get a small gift if you get 20 likes on a social media post, which turned out to be just a small cardholder. 😹
